Mission: Mission 67: In The Service of Life and the Living
Location: Messhall - USS Courageous
Timeline: 1215Hrs - March 4th 2392

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi regarded her husbands cousin with a gentle smile on her face. "Well this should be interesting."

"How so?" Marie Yamaguchi inquired.

"Well I never really pictured Celeste as the type to really want to settle down." Torilla responded. "She always comes across as the solitary type." she explained.

"She is... but that doesn't mean her wife doesn't love her..." Marie smiled. "Personally I think its wonderful that Celeste actually managed to find someone." the shorter woman shrugged. "But... thats me talking." Marie explained with a grin.

Torilla nodded respectfully. "Fair enough. Alright go collect the Colonel and lets get this show on the road."

"Willdo." and with that Marie went over to the back where Jeff Duval and Colonel Hobbs were waiting, both in dress uniform. "You guys ready?" she inquired with a smile.

Jeff Duval nodded his head. "I personally am.." he turned to Hobbs. "Brianna?"

Brianna tried to talk but found herself without words. She nodded to Duval in the affirmative.

Marie gently rubbed the other woman's shoulders. "This is just a formality, celebrating what you two have together... Personally I think you and her make such a lovely couple." Celeste's almost identical twin smiled. "Shall we?"

Moments later the three of them were standing before the podium where Torilla was standing, she smiled at Hobbs. "You look lovely Colonel."

"I'm not recognizing any rank right now Torilla." Brianna smiled at her. "Thank you, I'm still a little nervous."

Just then a Cardassian male officer wearing his dress uniform was spotted at the back of the room, standing next to Celeste Yamaguchi. "Are you prepared Celeste?" he inquired of her, a gentle smile on his face.

"I am.." she responded.

"Alright... Lets go."

Brianna gave Celeste a quick smile.

Celeste inhaled, held it then exhaled. "I am ready." as she nodded to Torilla.

Torilla nodded as Celeste started forward, she too was also wearing her dress uniform instead of a wedding gown as she came to a stop next to Brianna. "Hey." she said quietly. The Cardassian stopped one foot shy of where Hobbs and Yamaguchi were standing before Torilla Yamaguchi.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today..." Yamaguchi stated. "As Master and Commander of this ship, its my special privilege to be here to join these two in marriage," Torilla explained. "Did you two prepare your own vows or should I proceed with the traditional vows?"

Celeste paused. "No... We'll do our own vows..." she responded clearly going to wing it as she never bothered to prepare anything.

Torilla smiled in amusement. "Alright... then I'll let you proceed."

"Thank you." Celeste paused as she cleared her throat. I, Celeste, take you, Brianna, to be the wife of my days, to be the other parent of our children, to be the companion of my house. We will keep together what measure of trouble and sorrow our lives may lay upon us, and we will share together our store of goodness and plenty and love." she added the last few words with a wide smile.

Brianna beamed at Celeste. "Before I meet you I was without companionship. I never knew how much it would mean to me until you showed me. As we shared our lives together I became aware of really how important having a soul mate is. While I have experienced joys in my life, I find that they are more special when you share them with some one you love. I look to a long and wonderful life with you. To share or joy, love and happiness. To add more to our warm and caring family. I love you Celeste."

Yamaguchi smiled. "Very well.. By the authority vested in me by yadda yadda yadda.." she then paused. "I hereby pronounce you wife and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Celeste smiled as she gently kissed her new wife on the lips. "Mmm.." as she relaxed and enjoyed their kiss they shared.
