Meeting More of My Kin - Part One

Mission: Mission 63: Second Nature
Location: Planet Surface - B Kayor
Timeline: 1200Hrs - February 7th, 2392

Captain Jessica Yamaguchi had been assigned here for three days now and she was more or less acting as surrogate mother to two dozen Ferasian children who were without any of their parents. Most of whom had been used, abused and slain by the Klingons which only made Jessica angry.

John Yamaguchi smiled as he regarded his wife, he knew she had a soft spot for children and he would not deny her, the two of them started by delivering a large consignment of medical supplies and foodstuffs on two separate ships. It ended with the two of them remaining behind after the two ships were unloaded and returned to Starbase Eighty Two.

John handed his wife a PADD. "The mathwork you asked for." when he noticed her questioning look.

"Ahh thanks." Jessica turned to her assembled crowd. "Alright kits. I will teach you how to count." as she regarded the twenty four Ferasians that were sitting in three semi-circles around her.

John watched his wife work, he knew she was truly at her happiest when she was raising children. He turned to find himself with his two eldest children. Marie and Celeste.

"Hey Dad." Marie greeted him as he gently hugged her first and then he greeted Celeste. "Cel... Are you alright?"

"Just taking in the scene at a glance. We must help them Dad." Celeste said quietly.

"We are.. It doesn't look like much but.. We are helping." John smiled. "It's good to see you both."

"Stalingrad was between assignments and Dreamcrusher was assigned here so we figured we'd come help."

"Don't leave me out either." Daniel Yamaguchi came over, his wife in tow. "The assignment to the Delta Quadrant mission got postponed for a few months so those ships can assist here too."

T'Rae smiled softly, it wasn't much but then she was a Vulcan female and couldn't be expected to show emotion. "We're here to help... My people are already making themselves useful... This is already the most heavily fortified planet I've ever seen..."

Daniel chuckled softly. "No kidding right..."

James tossed his two cents in. "Id like to see the Klingons fuck with our new battle fleet and our new allies.. We will clean their clocks for them."

John greeted his remaining children. "Its good to see you all." he commented before he greeted Horus who was carrying a large crate of bottles of Caitian milk, he placed them before Jessica before he smiled at her. "For you and your kits."

"Thanks Horus." Jessica turned to the Kits before her. "Come on guys... One at a time.." and with that she started handing out bottles of milk that the Caitian children began to drink greedily.

Horus smiled as he went over to the other Yamaguchi's present. "You guys good?"

"Of course." Bronwyn responded before she gave him a hug. "Its good to see you bug guy."

Horus smiled at his sister in law as he hugged her back. "Its good to be seen." he commented. "My ship and crew are at your disposal for the duration." Marie commented. "Knowing Sohnaxx as I do. She's already picked out a couple of orphans to adopt for herself."

Horus regarded his wife. "Are you getting the itch to have more children, wife of mine?" he asked of Marie.

Marie paused. "I had thought about it.." she indicated the Caitian's hovering around. "I mean... look at them all."

James nodded his head. "We were considering it too." he responded softly. "But we... got a full house already."

Marie nodded as she let out a sigh. "As do we.." she paused. "Still... We can give some orphans a good home."

Daniel nodded. "Aye, we can." he paused. "How do we select what ones?"

John responded. "We let the Akurians handle that, we can assist them with admin capabilities.. Have your people who aren't doing anything, report for duty, helping there, they need all the warm bodies they can get."

The various Yamaguchi's nodded to each other before they separated and scattered, going to work.
