Mission: Mission 64: Mortal's Chiefest Enemy
Location: High Orbit over B Kayor
Timeline: 0930Hrs - February 4th, 2392

Commander Daniel McKnight was just getting back to the bridge as he smiled, he had a mission in hand and one that was worth doing unlike simply sitting here doing nothing for the last god knows how long.
"Talk to me Goose?"

Commander Celeste Yamaguchi regarded McKnight with a look of confusion. "Goose?" she inquired. "Who is this.. Goose character you speak of?"

McKnight sighed. "Nevermind number one... I tend to call my Exec 'Goose.' Its... a long story."

"We have time.. so you can tell me while we are en route to our destination.." the pregnant female responded lightly.

McKnight regarded her as he sat down in the command chair. "Alright... All Stations report..?"

Isabella Rojas went first as she usually did, reporting that all was well and nothing out of the ordinary. Duval smiled as she added. "All security personnel are deployed to every deck and phaser rifles have been issued to each fire team."

McKnight regarded the young woman behind and to the left of his position. "You expecting trouble El Tee?"

"Of course sir." Duval answered. "What can I say... Dad taught me about that.."

"Your dad is not someone to trifle with lightly."

Her smile gave way to puzzlement. "You served with my dad?"

"I did yes... and your mother too on separate assignments so you have large shoes to fill."

"I will endeavour to do just that Captain."

"Excellent." McKnight responded as the Conn officer who was also his girlfriend reported that all was well and the ships drive system was prepared for anything to come their way.

Just then the com beeped as Noq't checked in, reporting that Engineering was ready for anything and that nothing would get past him of his crew. McKnight smiled. "Bridge to sickbay?"

"What!" came the response. "What do you want!" came the demanding tone from Tanya Stevenson who was presently the acting Chief medical officer aboard since Celeste Yamaguchi was wearing command red and not medical teal.

There were a few snickers from around the bridge as Celeste frowned. "Doctor?" McKnight said before she could.

"Yes my liege... Oh right.. Sickbay reporting for duty, we're... we're good down here. The slaves are working overtime and we will have plenty of sacrifices for the god of warp drive sir."

Yamaguchi smiled, she had not been expecting this and it was clear that nobody else had either. McKnight turned to Yamaguchi. "Has anyone ever called you a bad influence?"

"No.." Yamaguchi responded sotto tone. "Not to my face, at least recently anyway..." she then shrugged her shoulders as McKnight turned to Patricia Kingston who had a gentle smile on her own face. "Counseling is prepared and ready for anything, so is the library and life sciences too."

Shadowsong chuckled as she was presently seated at the communications station, a communications device in her ear as she smiled. "Communications ready sir... enlisted at too... The deck apes are ready to get out and push.."

"I hope it won't come to that..." McKnight tapped the communications panel on the right side of the left armrest of the command chair. "Scorch, talk to me?"

"Yarrgghh matey, the Marines yarr ready ta' go... We'll crush jah landlubbers into goo.."

"Thats a bit over the top scorch... You sure?"

"My guys are ready to get underway Captain zer..!" Scorch continued the pirate accent.

"Alrighty then.." he tapped the display a second time. "Bridge to Intelligence?. You guys good?"

Lia Circe's voice came back. "We're ready to roll down here.. whenever you are sir."

"Alight..." as Yamaguchi looked amused as she regarded him.

"What?" McKnight responded.

"Oh.. nothing.. nothing at all." Yamaguchi added in amusement.

"You out them all up to this.. didn't you?"

"What if I did..?"

"I think I'm going to have to ask Colonel Hobbs to out you over her knee.."

Now Celeste laughed at that. "Oh.. now now... Don't tease me with a good time.. I may have to mention to my wife and your girlfriend." she indicated the back of Orianna as they spoke. "That you desire me..."

"You are just hard up.."

"Mmm.. all the time." Celeste responded evenly. "It gets irritating after a time.." she added with a grin. "Come on Maverick.. Lets get underway."

"Right... Orianna.. Aft thrusters ahead one quarter, port and starboard at station keeping." as McKnight rattled off orders to get underway, a short time later the ship slowly wheeled around before the stars began to elongate as the Dreamcrusher entered warp, their mission to liberate the Spartans had begun.
