| Personal History | Jennifer Nettles was born in 2363, on Madrigal colony to a pair of civilians who were the rough and outdoors types, it was here she learned a great deal about how to survive in the great outdoors, also she learned that various planets had their unique perils and pitfalls. Growing up, Jen grew to appreciate the value of having working equipment and decent tricorders as well as having a handy phaser close by as she had running with the unusual plant and animal species on this world. When she came of age, she applied to join Starfleet, she was accepted into the fall semester of 2380 as a science student. Her work here was thorough and she showed many times that she was capable of great things as a science officer. She also showed that she could command others as well, and this was what lead her to going to command school yet she had no serious ambitions for command but she would be surprised when she found out she was getting the Clydesdale later on. She graduated the academy in 2384 and she was sent to the USS Van Braun, she remained here for one year then it was off to the USS Geronimo for another two then it was the Warsong for another two and lastly Starbase Lya Station Alpha for two before being assigned to the USS Clydesdale as her commanding officer, she had no interest in command and tried to pass it off to her Exec whenever possible. She also stuck in for a request back to science as she never had any aspirations for command, however, this has caused issues to flare up between her and her Exec. Kristen McKnight who's career followed a very different path. Today. Jennifer is waiting on her transfer request as things between her and McKnight continue to slowly deteriorate. Weeks later her request was approved and she was reassigned to the USS Dreamcrusher replacing their Chief Operations Officer who was promoted to command her old assignment. The troubles followed her over to the Dreamcrusher and thus she didn't last on this assignment either, for the same reasons that she didn't last on the Clydesdale. Now she's being assigned to the USS Grey Wolf in the hope that Captain Torilla Yamaguchi can deal with her. |
