Mission: Mission 61: The Blood-Dimmed Tide
Location: Niven system
Timeline: 1000Hrs - January 24th 2392

Rykar was busy at her operations console when she noticed something odd on the sensors. Multiple sensor ghosts started appearing on her scopes, prompting her to ask," Hey Aerin, Moni, I'm getting a number of sensor ghosts showing up on my scopes, can you see them too."

Aerinn looked at his own Sensors, replying," Yeah I am getting them too."

Rykar was about to say something else but found herself interrupted when the senors beeped, indicating ships decloaking.

"Ships decloaking," Rykar announced."

Teval, whom was sitting in the captains chair asked," Where, and who."

"Klingon."

Teval knew this couldn't be good, so he decided to play it safe," Red alert, shields up, power up the weapons."

Lasky raised an eyebrow. "This should be good." he responded quietly.

Nasao blinked her large eyes. "Shields up... Weapons ready for you skipper." she said to Teval.

Rykair then added as the comm console beeped," We are getting hailed, they are saying they are the Ferasians."

Teval nodded. "Answer them."

Rykar nodded, and she put them on screen. To everyone's surprise except Teval's, the two individuals on screen appeared Caitian and not Klingon.

Lasky narrowed his eyes. "What the hell?" he said softly.

Teval introduced himself calmly. "I am Captain Teval of the federation starship Roanoke."

The lead caitain, a Female, replied. "I am Uzara, Captain. If you don't mind, I would prefer to speak to you in person, I would also prefer you come to our ship."

Teval nodded. "Very well, I will be over momentarily, just give me a few minutes to explain a few things to my crew."

Uzara nodded, then closed the comm channel, in which Teval then tapped his combadge, saying "Zara Tane, I need you on the bridge right now."

Lasky raised an eyebrow as he regarded Teval. "You're going over there... alone, with no escort?" he inquired. "I should protest this.. As the regs require it of me..." he sighed.

Zara replied quickly, "There in two."

Teval then looked around the room and mentioned to Rykar," Rykar, can you have Ryuukei and Nevanzi come over, and if Jake Yamaguchi is still in the battlegroup, I need him too.

Rykar nodded and did what she was asked, while Teval's eyes met Moni's.

Moni Nasao was more confused then anything else. "They almost look like Caitians.." she mewled quietly.

A minute or so later, the door opened and in came Jake Yamaguchi. "Hey Teval, you called me... Whats up?" he inqured with a smile. "Another hour and we'd have been having this chat via subspace... " he noticed the ships on the screen. "What are Klingon's doing here?"

Teval shook his head as Ryuukei and Nevanzi found their way onto the bridge, "Those are not Klingons."

"What's going on?" Zara asked to those present, the moment she stepped off the bridge.

As soon as everyone was present, Teval then took the floor," Alright, what I am about to tell you guys, will probably shatter any hopes of an alliance between the the Klingons and the federation for good."

Teval passed a look at Vrenn, but didn't say anything directly to him.

Vrenn listened in silence, his disbelief turning to anger and then to rage, yet he continued to listen in silence.

Teval then continued," Needless to say, the Ferasians, they are Caitians, or rather, they where, until the Klingons got a hold of them three hundred and fifty two years ago.

Nasao blinked. "Wait... you 'knew' about this... " she paused as she struggled to control her emotions. "How long did you know?" she asked quietly, her voice breaking.

Lasky reacted first. "It doesn't matter Lieutenant, what matters is what we do about it.... Vrenn?"

"Commander..." Vrenn responded. "We are still allied to the Klingons.. If we turn on them, it'll start a major war.." he then shrugged. "Not like that will be a problem with our newly upgraded fleet."

Teval snorted. "Yeah Vrenn. You may want to rethink your statement on the Klingons." He then paused and explained. "Yes Moni, I knew about this. After the war, I, and my sister, where on an assignment to root out any lagging changeling infiltrators. Well needles to say, our assignment took us deep into the Klingon Empire, where we uncovered a very dirty secret, specifically about house Tekevek. 352 years ago, the Caitain colony of Tyrus was lost. The Caitian government at the time didn't know whom was responsible. Well, it was the Klingons under House Tekevek."

Vrenn blew up. "THAT Drug dealing animal!" he seethed. "My mother... died at the hands of those animals..." he paused. "Why are we allied to this failure of a nation state?"

Lasky turned as he regarded the now enraged Klingon before him but he found he couldn't comment on it.

Nasao regarded the Klingon male before her with gentle eyes. "Go on skipper..." she encouraged Teval to continue.

Teval sighed and continued," Well needless to say, the caitian's had never encountered the klingons before, and at the time house tekevek was one of the warrior houses. They where looking for a fight, looking for someone to have a glorious battle with. Unfortunately The caitians, being a peaceful race, surrendered without much of a fight. Which you cant blame them, since the klingons at the time where way ahead of the caitians in military technology. well the klingons felt highly slighted since they got denied their chance to fight an "honorable battle". So the Klingon's, in their anger, killed off half the population, carted the remaining half off to the klingon empire to use as slaves, then razed the colony to the ground."

Vrenn listened in silence. "This can't go unanswered. My people have much to answer for." he paused. "and house tekevek.... Yes... MUCH to answer for."

Nasao's claws came out. "The Federation didn't want to sunder their alliance with the Klingons... because of the Dominion I assume?"

Teval nodded, "Yes, the federation told me, my sister and everyone else in starfleet intel whom knew about it to keep their mouths shut on the matter for the sake of the alliance."

Teval's own claws came out, as he continued. "But they never saw it themselves. Those in the federation council, they never saw the conditions the klingons forced the ferasiaons to endure. The klingons, They where treating them as little more than cattle, breeding them like farm animals to be used as slave labor throughout house Tekeveks holdings. A few they sold as pets, or as sex slaves. Any female whom was capable they would force them to have as many offspring as possible, only to separate them from their mothers at the nearest opportunity and raise them how they saw fit. Most males where not allowed to breed, while the klingons chose a few male Fersians they felt where the most desirable, and forced them to impregnate as many females as possible. And one of the worst parts. When a Ferasian inevitably died under those conditions, the bastards of House Tekevek would skin them for their fur's and sell the furs on the markets for whatever use they saw fit. "

Nasao's eyes opened wide as she almost burst into tears when there was a loud crunching sound as he drove his fist into the Ops console. "Someone.... will Die for this... I am going to go on leave, go back to Kronos and hunt... these fuckers... down.... and I will make them pay.."

Nasao slowly blinked. "I will feast on their BONES!" she snarled. "I will make them know my pain... and my rage... as I kill them.... one world at a time.."

"Are you asking me permission to go Mustang?" Zara blinked. She was in shock over this turn of events, to say the least.

Teval didn't even know what to say at this point, while Nevanzi mentioned," And I suppose the reason I am here, is that you expect the federation may continue with the peace at any price routine and will not do anything meaningful on the matter."

Teval nodded. "I have that feeling."

He then looked around the room, and added," Well its best I get ready to go, But Nevanzi, I would prefer if you come along. As for anyone else, Well the Ferasains, they don't exactly trust clothes wearing species, so you may have to be prepared to get naked if you want to get any meaningful conversation out of them, but either way, its best I keep this party small."

He then looked at Rykar," Contact captains Teyo Kemoke and Captain Siranna, have them meet me in the transporter room, fill them both in, and tell them both they are better off leaving their uniforms behind for this mission.

Rykar nodded while she contacted the two Caitian captains.

Teval then looked Jake saying," Best you stick around for a while until after I talk with the Ferasians, then you can go yell at Starfleet command and the federation council."

Yamaguchi nodded. "Sounds good. I'll cancel my ride out of here and see how this goes down."

Meanwhile, sitting in her office was Siranna, her console beeped at her as the note scrawled across the screen, she answered it. 'I'll be there.' and with that she went out the door. "Commander. I am needed elsewhere... a situation has arisen that requires my attention... I will explain fully when I find out more."

Cartwright nodded. "Of course sir."

Siranna went off of the bridge and a few minutes later she went into the transporter room, she then began to strip off all of her clothing as the Transporter chief regarded her with an amused smile. "Sir.?"

"Keep a hold of my clothes for me please Chief... I won't be gone long..."

"Yessir. I won't ask."

"I will reveal all when I find out the full story..." Siranna responded. "Send me over to the Roanoke please."

The Chief nodded before he beamed the nude Caitian female over tot he other ship.

Teyo was already present in Roanoke's transporter room while Teval and Nevanzi walked in. Teval looked at the two Caitians saying," you two ready."

Siranna nodded her furry head. "Indeed, yes."

Teyo nodded," Yep, I'm good to go."

Teval looked at the transporter chief," Alright, beam us over."

The young man nodded. "Energizing skipper... good luck." he said as Teval and his team were beamed over to the Klingon ship.
