Hobbs went to the bartender. "Whiskey straight please."

"So," a voice came from behind her. "I guess you heard the news?"

"Daisy!" Hobbs turned around. "Yeah, I heard."

Darren Runako M'Kantu was seated at the bar wth a large tankard in his hands. "Indeed. I doubt there is anyone around here ladies who doesn't know about this." he responded. "Barkeep their drinks are on my tab."

Todd Sims chuckled softly. "Getting to know the ladies Admiral?"

"No. I'm getting to know various people... Besides my wife tells me I need to get out of the house more and stop taking up space on the sofa."

Karax walked through the door as she peered at Daisy. "So... you're the legend herself." as a wide smile appeared on her face. "I'm Jennifer McKnight.. I believe you know my brother.."

Commander Elizabeth Woodville walked through the door. "Karax, must you?"

"I must.." the older woman responded, though she looked something of a pixie with the elvin ears which betrayed her heritage. "Stop distracting me..." she turned back to her sister in law. "So... where is my nephew... the future ruler of the Alpha Quadrant?" as she grinned at Daisy.

"Edward, his highness, is safe with Torilla Yamaguchi." Daisy explained. "I came here to give information to the prosecution. I didn't know Nye would take the cowards way out and turn."

"Lovely..." Karax smiled. "May I join you?" she inquired. "I keep hearing about Nye... they say he's some bigwig who lost it or something?"

"Oh please take a seat." Daisy offered Karax. "We where just enjoynig some drinks."

"Nye was a pompous ass. He is responsible for several atrocities." Hobbs informed Karax. "He finally went to far and got arrested."

Karax slid her lithe form into a chair. "Orthos told me about you.... so did Mom." she grinned at the half Klingon woman. "Mom spoke so highly of you that I wasn't sure if you were real or not."

Woodville chuckled. "The lady looks real enough to me."

"Thank you Elizabeth." Karax responded dryly. "You see what I must put up with on an hourly basis?"

Daisy laughed. "I'm honored you mother thinks so much of me. How is it here on a station?"

"It's different." Karax admitted. "I get the Galaxy coming through my doors.." she smiled. "So... hows my brother doing... he never writes, he never calls... Its like he doesn't care."

"He is stationed over here." Daisy replied. "That is why I stayed here longer was to meet him for awhile."

Karax facepalmed. "My brother is simply unbelievable." she sighed. "He's assigned here and yet... he avoids me..." she shook her head.

"I'll have a chat with him about that." Daisy smiled at Karax.

It was then that Dr. Anjou arrived at the bar. "A bottle of Port please, nothing replicated." He instructed the bar keep. He received a bottle and a glass. Hobbs waved him over.

"Hello Doctor." Hobbs greeted him.

"Please, I'm off duty. Call me Konrad." He insisted. "Ladies." He greeted the women.

"What are you doing here?" Daisy asked him.

"I took some rather unorthodox medical technicalities to keep Nye from sending more marines into that sausage maker." Anjou explained. "I had to explain myself to Internal Affairs."

Todd Sims raised an eyebrow. "But it worked right... kept that murderer from killing any more of your marines."

Karax sighed. "Guys this is Captain Todd Sims.. Base Exec and very outspoken proponant of standing Nye in an airlock and venting him into space."

Sims nodded. "Basterds doesn't even deserve to be spaced."

M'Kantu chuckled softly. "Thats what I've come to expect from you Todd.. Your cheery opinion of people you despise."

Karax indicated the Admiral. "Land this... is Rear Admiral Darren Runako M'Kantu."

"I leave the rank and uniform in the office." M'Kantu responded with a smile. "Fine work Doctor. Personally I'd give you a medal for it... But thats me."

"Thank you Admiral but I must decline any medal." Anjou told M'Kantu politely. "Somebody might mistake me for a person in the military and I do not wish that."

Aleksei Sergeyev, is a better mood than usual, and wearing the uniform of a Soviet Commissar, walked over to the bunch, adding," So, when do we get to execute the traitor commissar style, I've got my Makarov ready and loaded for him."

M'Kantu raised an eyebrow. "Greetings Comrade Commissar." he said in flawless Russian. "Welcome to our humble establishment... But to answer your question. I have no idea when we will execute the traitor... Alas I doubt we will... he turned."

Simms raised an eyebrow. "I had no idea you spoke Russian."

"I can do many things..." M'Kantu responded dryly as the Barkeep chuckled softly. "What'll ya have Comrade?"

Woodville watched the proceedings with great interest as Karax raised an eyebrow. "Are you actually from the Soviet Union?" she inquired.

Serveyev responded to M'Kantu first. "I'll take some good old Vodka." He then turned to Woodville. "Of course I'm Soviet, why else would I be wearing the uniform."

Woodville chuckled softly. "Fair enough Comrade.." she heard something she turned her head. "Who's that guy?"

Todd Sims sighed dramatically. "Oh look... someone is getting hauled away in chains.."

Hobbs looked over. "I think it's Nye." She stated, uncertain. Many form the bar moved to the edge of the promenade to get a look.

"Yeah, that is him!" Daisy confirmed. Nye was flanked by four security officers and another one in the lead. There was also a loose line of security officers keeping people a distance a way.

Ryuukei, Arumi, Weyai and several other Akurians stepped onto the promenade, just arriving from the recently docked Akurian Battlecruiser, when they noticed Nye being paraded by. Kasana was the one to ask," So thats Nye huh."

Ryuukei nodded," Yep, that's him, the Man whom threw so many marines into the meatgrinder for nothing."

Sergeyev joined the crowd in the bar, and he also saw Nye, he then Waved at Nye from near the back of the crowd," Hey, its the traitor."

Nye didn't respond to any of the many catcalls that were shot in his direction. He just kept his head down as he was marched forward.

Karax lifted her glass of her lips as she took a sip. "Play me a dirge matey?" she smiled before she turned back to Daisy. "So... you were saying?"

Daisy got up to get a better look. Hobbs and Anjou joined her. "I hope they lock in him away in a dark place." Daisy told them.

"I think he is going to live a long life of misery." Hobbs replied.

Then a large cracking noise came from nowhere. Nye fell on his back, his chest covered in red gore. The security officers reacted and took up firing positions.

"Damn it!" Anjou cursed as ran to Nye. The security guards noticed his medical uniform and let him through. "Anjou to sick bay, two to beam to surgery!" And was beamed away.

Hobbs and Daisy were also busy. "Hobbs to bridge, security lockdown. No one is to leave this station or beam anywhere except to sickbay or the bridge."

Todd Sims finished his drink. "Admiral, I think lunch is canceled." he responded.

M'Kantu sighed dramatically. "Yes... along with going home to my wife and children later today too." he shook his head. "Colonel Nye had to lose his guts all over my promenade and cause us more grief then ever before." he shook his head. "Good riddance."

Sergeyev blinked in confusion and a couple of people gave him stares. He checked his Makarov just in case, and it was unloaded as he had left it. Ryuukei meanwhile added," Well, that was dramatic. Pity though, he should have suffered, rather than getting the easy way out."

Meanwhile Anjou was in the emergency surgery. He looked over the body of Nye. "Run a diagnostic." He told Dvald.

Dvald raised an eyebrow. "I think this one is definitely dead." the taller woman responded "As my sibling would say... he's done like dinner." she added as she ran her tricorder over his chest or rather what was left of it. "Mmm... I assume High velocity round... solid state slug.. shattered on impact.."

Anjou threw down his tricorder. "Scans indicate his heart and lungs have been liquefied. Furthermore, his ribs and spine have been pulverized. I'm calling time of death."

"Sounds good. No need to waste more time on this.... thing." Theris Dvald growled. "I'm going to let my sister know that this.... thing will never threaten her ever again."

"Now we just need to catch the assassin." Anjou stated coldly. "We'll keep his body in stasis for the criminal investigations team."

Back in the promenade Hobbs was trying to organize security. "Admiral, we may need to ring over more security to sweep this station and flush out the killer."

M'Kantu nodded as he tapped his combadge. "Operations this is the Admiral, get me all the security I can get my hands on to sweep this station. also lock this place down, nobody gets in or out."

"Thank you Admiral." Hobbs told M'Kantu. "I'll start to organize sweeps."

"Very well Colonel. carry on, let me know if you catch the guy." M'Kantu responded. "Personally though. I don't think its a great loss."

"Yes, Sir." Hobbs agreed. "Problem is that if they can do that to Nye, they can do it to any of us."

M'Kantu nodded. "I know... Good hunting Colonel. I'll leave you to it."
