Mission: Mission 48: The Third Pineapple Incident
Location: Various Locations - USS Tranquility
Timeline: 1800Hrs - November 5th, 2391

Rachael Yamaguchi came out of the bedroom, wearing a pair of jeans and a shirt, she smelt of soap and body wash.

Rachael sighed happily. "Ahh... much better.."

Saki was dozing lightly as Sandstorm greeted Rachael with a loud meow, as the small child blinked as she woke up. "Oh hey mom.....so is... everyone back to normal now?"

"More or less." Rachael responded evenly before she turned her attention to Sarah who was coming over to her. "Hey sweetie... Hows things with you?" she inquired.

"Meh..." Sarah shrugged her shoulders. "I tried my best to keep Saki from watching people wrestle."

Rachael sat down on the sofa as she grinned at Sarah. "People wrestle?" as she glanced at Saki and then back to Sarah. "Do I dare inquire further?" she asked with a grin. "Oh and I did bring you guys something from Deneva?" she lifted a decent sized bag. "Don't eat them all at once and.... try not to share them with the kitties... chocolate isn't good for them."

"Thank you!" Sarah smiled and began to eat her treat all ladylike. Then she wiggled her finger for Rachael to come closer before she whispered in her ear, "Saki and I saw two ladies have sex, but I tried to protect her once I saw it."

Rachael smiled as she regarded Sarah. "Seriously?" she asked, very softly. "Well, I'm glad you were there to protect her." as she gently gave Sarah a hug. "You know I consider you my own.... right?"

"I know," Sarah glowed. "I love you a lot too."

"Well despite all of today's insanity... Its good to be home."

Saki peeled open one eye. "Until you leave again.," she responded coldly.

"Saki. I'm not going anywhere... my education is-"

"Yeah yeah.." Saki turned as she sat up. "Until you leave or you have to go somewhere to do something..."

Rachael narrowed her eyes as she regarded her child who looked like she was going to get angry. "Saki-"

"No!" the child snapped. "I don't wanna hear it mom..." as she proceeded to melt down with ruthless force. "You don't get to sit there and tell me to behave because I have been behaving and you keep leaving and I'm Sick of it!" Saki started yelling loudly.

Rachael sighed. "Look young lady-" was as far as she got before Saki steamrolled over her. "I don't think you like me or Ennis or anyone else anymore.. you keep leaving." and with that Saki hopped off of the sofa and dashed out the door.

Rachael watched her go in silence. "Well.." she paused a moment. "I've not seen her lose it like that.... ever."

Sandstorm hopped up on the sofa next to Rachael, followed by Perdacus as Rachael gently petted both cats. "Computer... locate Saki Yamaguchi?"

"Saki Yamaguchi is near the Captain's Quarters. Deck Two."

"...She's goin' through a lot," Ennis spoke with sympathy as he stuck his head out the kitchen. "She gets stability here now, but when you aren't here as much as she wants? I dunno... Lass gets pretty angry."

Rachael sighed. "Well... I am home now... but... your right." she sighed. "I've been gone too long.." as she petted the two cats. "She's had to adjust to a lot.." as she regarded Sarah. "Hows she settling in?"

"Usually it takes her a few days to settle down, when you leave. After that, she's great. Spends time with Sarah a lot. Likes to bug Commodore Tane - reasons I've no idea why." Ennis looked visibly confused with that.

Rachael glanced over at Ennis as she nodded, taking on board what he was saying to her. "Its because she's friends with Zara. Mom told me about it awhile ago.. I'm going to assume she's come to consider Commodore Olmos a friend as well." as she gently ran her fingertips over Sandstorms ears, kitty seemed to be enjoying the attention while Perdacus jostled his sibling.

"More like a grandmother, I think. Only because Sarah an' Danny see Olmos as such," Ennis admitted with a half-grin. Thinking about how he behaved with Olmos earlier, he felt a bit different about that now.

Rachael smiled, she knew about what happened as Ennis had not been shy with the information. "Commodore Olmos scares the crap outta me." she admitted. "Considering she has five solid pips and..... I don't know her.." she sighed as Perdacus climbed into her lap, she gently petted the cat. "What breed of cat are these two sweetie?" she asked Sarah. "They look... a little different then the average house cats... larger too."

"I forget... But they're really cool," Sarah yelled happily across the quarters.

Rachael opened her mouth to respond when Perdacus touched the end of her nose with his own, purring very happily at her. "Oh hey.." she responded as the second cat also climbed onto her lap. "Sarah... are these ... two... normally... like this?" Rachael inquired while she was getting mobbed by the cats.

"They want what you're eating," Sarah laughed once she walked into the room to see Rachael.

"Ahh I had a tuna sandwhich earlier." she responded. "Now now you two... I know you like fish..." as Perdacus sniffed at Rachael's mouth before he wailed loudly at her.

"If you're good... I'm sure the girls will give you some fish for din dins kitty." Rachael gently petted him before she kissed him.

"Hey Rachael?" Sarah asked shyly.

Rachael turned to Sarah. "Yeah sweetie?" she inquired of the redhead child that looked nothing like her. "Whats up?" as Sandstorm curled up on her lap.

"You aint replacing my mom - I know that," Sarah insisted with a smile. "But I love having you as a mom."

Rachael instantly calmed as she relaxed. "Okay... I wanted to be clear.." she paused. "Just promise me one thing..?" she inquired. "Never forget who and what she was to you. I can not and I will not replace her... in you or your brothers eyes.... and... Daniel will never know her.. Which is really sad."

"I know that. Mom's never forgotten for me," Sarah assured. "But you are also my mom... Cause I love you too."

Rachael gently gave Sarah a hug as she wiped at her face. "Mmm.. y'know I had this great speech rehearsed about how I respected your mom and that I didn't want to replace her... I was dreading this conversation actually-errkk." as Perdacus, purring happily gently touched Rachael's mouth with his paw as he meowed loudly at her.
"Hi and I love you too kitty." as she gently kissed him on the nose. "I'm sure the girls will feed you some fish for din-dins."

Sandstorm rested his head on Rachael's lap as he closed his eyes, putting happily. "I think kitty is hungry... how do you guys feed them?" Rachael inquired of Sarah.

"Just put food in a bowl, really," Sarah answered with a shrug.

"Because I think these two either like me or want to have me... as their dinner." Rachael commented as the first of the two meowed loudly at her.
