Mission: Mission 39: By Fire be Purged
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - August 2nd, 2391

Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi looked exhausted but then all of the medical officers did, as the clean team was busy cleaning sickbay of the fact it looked like a slaughterhouse. Beth was sure that every other fleet ship was doing the same thing too.

She went to check on Teval. "How you doing little guy?" she inquired.

Teval put his hands up, while Hakaya sat next to him, keeping him company, "Well my hands hurt like hell."

"Let me see what I can do about that." Elizabeth looked like she had been crying, her face was puffy and streaked with tears. "Yeah... I can administer you something.. it'll only dull the pain.. it won't take it away."

Teval sighed, saying," To be honest, I'll pass on the pain pill, the pain at least least me know I am still fucking alive."

"Easy little guy." Elziabeth responded. "Do you wanna talk about it.?" she inquired as she gently ran her fingers through the fur on the top of his head. "I was in here all night... I saw things... things I'll never forget.." she paused. "so... I do know how you feel..."

Teval held up his left Hand, which he couldn't even feel anymore, "To be honest though, I cant even fell my left hand anymore."

"You did take some very serious burns." Elizabeth responded. "Don't Kurokuri have wickedly strong healing abilities?"

Teval nodded," Yeah, we can recover from injuries that other people wouldn't. For example, we do have the ability to regrow lost limbs, though regrowing a whole arm can still take several years."

Elizabeth sighed softly. "You're going back into the OR... We need to operate..." she muttered something in an obscure language

Teval tried to stand up, but an immense Wave of Dizziness came over and Hakaya had to catch him to keel him from falling. Teval muttered," Eh, this is serious isn't it."

"Yeah... your hand is a write off... and you got thermal damage too." Elizabeth flagged down Sokanon with a shout and a wave of her arm.

"Yeah.. whats up?" Sokanon asked gently.

"Teval needs surgery. His hand is cooked, he has several issues.." as she showed the Caitian her tricorder data as the Caitian nodded. "Indeed.. you want us to operate Teval?"

Teval nodded, "As long as it doesn't require someone else to die, I'm fine with it."

Sokanon nodded. "Very well... right this way..." she paused. "Mind the mess... the slaughterhouse is still being cleaned..." as the female Caitian led the way towards the OR.

Hakaya looked at both of them, saying," Do you two need assistance, I know my medical training is pretty minimal, but I know everyone is pretty overwhelmed here, I shouldn't be sitting around doing nothing."

Siaxx nodded. "I can use you.. follow me around and help me with my stuff.." she responded. "Most of the heavy work is done already but... all my guys are exhausted and they need rest... can you help with post op stuff?" she inquired. looking after people, checking on them, seeing to their various needs the like like?.... basically you'll become a nurse."

Hakaya nodded and followed Siaxx while Teval followed Sokanon and Elizabeth as best he could. Just before he got to the room, Teval felt another massive wave of dizziness, and he only managed to stop himself from falling by grabbing on to the door frame.

Elizabeth turned around when she heard him stumble, as she gently scooped him up in her arms since she was so much more massive then he was. "Come on little guy.." she tried not to coo at him.

Teval looked up at Elizabeth, not particularly surprised by being picked up anymore, "Well I guess being little and cute has some advantage's."

"It does... yes." Elizabeth answered as she carried him into the OR.

Sokanon turned. "Bring him over here... this won't take long.."

Teval couldn't help but be nervous, he didn't like operating rooms in general, and even though he wasn't shaking or anything, his heart did start beating faster and his fur started to stand on end. "Hey, yeah, lets just get this over with."

"Alright... I'm going to sedate you... so we can operate." Sokanon paused. "We're going to have to remove your hand... there are too many issues with it. the muscle tissue is damaged and the bones are all damaged by thermal exposure as well. "

Teval nodded, as he was set down on the bed. Curling his tail around him he added, "Just make it quick."

Elizabeth gently ran her fingers through the fur on the top of his head. "It'll be alright. You're surrounded by friends here." as she gently administered the sedative. "Hakaya and I will both be here when you wake up.."

Teval nodded and laid down, his nerves settling somewhat as the sedatives went to work.

The medics went to work and about four hours later, Elizabeth looked exhausted as she nodded to Hakaya. "I'm going to wake him out of his slumber. I told him you'd be here.." before she administered the stimulant. "Hey Teval... wake up."

Hakaya nodded as Teval slowly stirred. She walked up next to him and gently rubbed him between the ear's. She tried her best to ignore the severed stump where his left hand was.

Teval slowly opened his eyes, looking up at Hakaya. They where motionless for a moment, then Hakaya wrapped her arms around her brother, and held on, while he hugged her back, with his right arm.

"We were able to heal what we could... but your hand.... I am sorry." Elziabeth said quietly. "I'll leave you two alone." and with that she turned to depart.

"Wait," Teval asked," I just have one quick question, I wont have to stay here too long will I, I prefer not to spend much time in places like this if I can help it."

Fordring came over. "Nope... Sorry my little football... you're not staying here... Siaxx asked me to see to it that you got to the location of your choice,... they need this bed for others." and with that, he gently picked up Teval in his massive arms.

"Football," Hakaya asked, puzzled, while Teval sighed, "Don't ask. Anyway, we'd prefer to go back to our guest quarters on Dreamcrusher."

Fordring chuckled softly. "I'll tell you later." he responded as he extended his arm towards Hakaya. "Jump on my back." he commented. "Next stop, the nearest transporter room..."

Hakaya didn't argue as she climbed up Fordrings arm, and then perched herself on Fordring's shoulder. It wasn't until she was perched up there that exhaustion hit in full force.

Fordring noticed as he made sure that Hakaya didn't fall off. "Come on.." he said quietly as he spotted a half dozen others, passed out around and on biobeds. "I'll be back for you guys shortly. I got packages to deliver."

Fordring was barely halfway to the transporter room when both Teval and Hakaya dozed off completely, both of them exhausted from recent event's.

Fordring walked the rest of the way, knowing full well that his two charges were asleep. "I'll get you two guys home."

Ten minutes later, he arrived at his destination, before he relized he had no hands so he sighed. "Fuck." and with that, he headbutted the door.

Karryn answered. "I have two people to deliver... where would you like them?"

Karryn, eyes only half open and looking wrecked herself, Said," Yeah,.. uh,.. bring them to their beds." She stood aside to let Fordring through. Aerin, whom had also been assisting the medical staff, was already sprawled across the couch, fast asleep.

Fordring nodded. "Okay." and with that he dropped off Teval on the bed then he gently set Hakaya down next to him. "Thanks." and with that he took his leave.

Hakaya woke up only enough to vaguely realize she was in a bed with Teval, so she snuggled up close to him, trapping her arms and tail around him and went back to sleep. She didn't even notice Karryn curling up next to them.

Meanwhile, back in Roanoke's sickbay, having woken up from his long slumber, Varkon entered sickbay, still soot-covered to the point of being nearly pitch black, and his uniform a burnt, melted wreck.

Crewman James Locke took one look at him and promptly screamed. "ARRGGHHH!!!. Its the demon!"

Siaxx blinked as she jumped while hearing the scream. "What ... huh?" as she climbed to her feet only to fall forward and end up kissing the table. "Oh fuck me!!" she whimpered as she slowly collapsed off of the table to end up in a heap on the floor. "Shit..." she paused as she closed her eyes. "maybe If I'm quiet... he won't eat me.." as she quickly nodded off.

Not long after Siaxx had passed out, Aryssa left Phoenix's room and picked her stepmother up off the floor. With effort, she carried her back to their quarters and put both of them to bed.

Varkon looked rather perplexed, completely oblivious to the state of his appearance.

Fordring went over to the doorway to see what the commotion was. "Oh.. hey Varkon.." before he turned back. "Varkon... what the hell.... I thought you were dead.... nobody has seen head or ass of you in almost twenty four hours... were you sleeping on the hull or something?"

Varkon shrugged, "The lounge chairs are comfy."

Fordring sighed softly. "You got blown out into space... how the hell did you survive?"

"I'm a brikar."

Sokanon blinked her large eyes open as she yawned, displaying quite the impressive set of teeth. "Mmm... whats going... on?" as her eyes slid closed and with that she conked out again.

Fordring reached down as her picked up Windspirt. "Time to take you home girl." and with that he set off on his next errand.

Nalla yawned as she watched Windspirit being carried away. Then she went back to work with transporting debris out of her patient's scalp.

Windspirit didn't even stir as she was carried away.

Ten minutes later, Fordring came back for his next charge as he regarded Sokanon. "Come kitty... time to go home." as he gently picked her up as if she were his child, she mewled softly in her sleep as he hefted her out the doorway and was gone.

A short time later Fordring returned as he looked around for his next package, finding nobody he regarded Nalla as she was the last one left.
