Mission: Mission 34: Between Two Fires
Location: Various Locations - USS Toronto
Timeline: 1130Hrs - June 21st, 2391

Lieutenants Paul and Selene Dragon were by most accounts, exactly what they looked like, a happily married couple who served together but today was not the usual shift for them and their quarry was starting to vex both of them, most grievously, the two of them were in the USS Toronto's lounge which was known as the 'Highlords Inn' but then when one asked what the ship was named for, most would assume the city in the Canadian north on Earth but for those who actually knew, it was actually named for the Toronto Colony.

"I'm telling you, that someone out there is fucking with us." Paul Dragon growled

Selene regarded her husband with a bemused look on her elegant features. "What is it with you and sex....?" she inquired. "When someone is pissing you off, out comes a sexual reference, when you're in a good mood, more of the same... seriously... is sex the one thing you enjoy most. more than anything else?"

Paul regarded his wife, a look of deep amusement on his face as he knew how she thought considering he had known her since they had met during their first year at the academy which was roughly seven years ago now, sometimes she was very easy to toy with like now. "That's because after we finish this shift, I'm going to do unspeakable things to you," he replied

Selene blushed a shade of deep brown, she had not been expecting him to bluntly hit on her and in public no less. "Oh My... Well, that's profound..."

Meanwhile, at the front of the tavern, the doors opened and in walked a rather attractive looking Caitian female named Vrr'Srhann'rr or for those who didn't know, she answered to 'Siranna' as it was easier to pronounce. "Mmm... barkeep, I am looking for Lieutenant Paul Dragon, I understand he is here?"

"Indeed... may I ask who you are?" the barkeep responded with a smile. "In here, nobody wears the uniform if they can help it, Highlords orders."

"Indeed... I am Vrr'Srhann'rr... " she introduced himself. "Paul Dragon is known to me. I am an old friend of his family."

"I see... Well, he's right over there..." John Cutter indicated the table nearby.

Vrr'Srhann'rr bowed to him as she thanked him, she then turned and made her way over to where Paul was located, she greeted him with a smile as she said his name.

Paul Dragon looked at her, before her stepped out of his chair, his arms quickly coiled around the Caitian female before he picked her up in a big hug. "Siranna, I'm so glad to see you."

Selene Dragon had seldom ever seen her husband be this expressive with anyone outside of their immediate family as she watched with deep interest as she waited in silence.

"Siranna, meet Selene Dragon, my wife."

"Mmmm.... Pleased to meet you Mrrr..." Siranna smiled at the human female that she didn't know. She, however, knew Paul extremely well as she had served with Paul's mother while April Dragon had been commanding the Relentless and before that the Challenger, it had been Siranna who had become involved with Paul's situation in which he had been returned to is mother because his biological father and his stepmother had died. Since Yuri Solotev had left no instructions as to what would happen with his son.

Starfleet Child Services had shipped him back to his mother, a woman who had no idea of the young man her son had become, she and Paul would take quite awhile to get to know each other, what helped was that they shared similar interests and hobbies but what didn't help was that April was dating the USS Challenger's chief counselor, a relationship that had helped her immensely and would also benefit Paul as well, he had someone in his life who would help him understand his mother.

Siranna was the ships procurement officer and she met Paul by chance when he was wandering the ship because he had gotten lost, she had walked him home after finding out who he was and the two got talking, it was the start of their relationship which would continue for years later as April got married and went on to have five more young children.

Paul started feeling neglected, April Dragon and Duran Jerrold both tried to help him as best they could but he needed to find his own path so he applied to the academy.

He met Selene their first year together as Siranna was promoted to Commander and Exec, she also lost touch with Paul back in '88' and now she was reunited with him.

Siranna regarded Selene Dragon. "You are most fortunate Ms Dragon to know Paul."

"I know..." Selene responded with a smile. "How long have you two known each other?"

The barkeep observed the meeting in silence, he watched over those in the Tavern with a keen eye, a level head and a quiet resolve as he slowly smiled. "That'll teach me.." he muttered to himself.
