| Personal History | Born to Yuri Soloviev and April Dragon out of a romance, he spent his eight years of life never knowing who his mom is. After his birth, April decided to pursue her career and schooling within Starfleet. So much so that Yuri actually decided to leave April and take their 6 month old baby with them. He went back to his home city of St Petersburg and spent the next year six years raising the young Paul Dragon Soloviev. He met another woman, Anita, when Paul was four and married her a year later. Yuri had decided for the sake of Paul to tell Paul about his real mother and gave her a picture of April which Paul always treasured. When Paul was six, Yuri started work as an engineer that helped build bio domes for various Starfleet bases around the quadrant. It was also post Dominion War and the need to rebuild these facilities were in great demand. He moved to the Moon and lived in the Old American Quarter. It was here that Paul grasped the basics of English and became fluent as far as possible given his age. He also spent a lot more time playing in the School’s Holodeck gardens. There was only one place to find him, in a tree. It was his favorite place. Paul quickly grasped the programming to have a different tree to create different challenge to climb. He spent numerous hours in those trees looking at the only picture of his mom dreaming of meeting her one day. And still Yuri always answered his questions about his mother. Tragedy struck when his step-mom and Yuri died in a freak accident when a transport they were on from the construction yard was hit by a freak meteor shower. They died instantly. In his last will and testament, he specifically stated that Paul rejoin his mother should anything happen to him. And that was what happened, he went to go join his mother April Dragon who at the time was assigned to the USS Challenger. This was where he met then Lieutenant Vrr'Srhann'rr 'Siranna' who was very close to his mother and it was the Caitian to really bring mother and child closer together. Paul and April eventually came to an understanding but the issues arose again when April began dating Commander Duran Jerrold, eventually the two men were able to make their peace as Paul thought that Duran was going to steal his mother away. When Paul Dragon came of age, he went into Starfleet academy and went into Engineering, he did well here, he spent a lot of time doing classwork and while he was doing it because he wanted to graduate as soon as he could, he met Selene Desmoulin, who was an orphan. She too wanted to graduate early and the two by this point were dating quietly, he was able to give her a great deal and she also completed him, before they had graduated, they were married and expecting their first child when disaster came in the form of a Pirate attack. During the Pirates attack, it caused heavy damage in engineering, enough to cause two plasma conduits to explode and rupture, this very nearly killed his wife, it roasted her alive and while she needed to have most of both legs, her left hand and most of her right arm replaced with bio-synthetic implants, she also lost her baby as she took a blow to her front, the baby died but she survived only because of the baby Selene and Paul took some leave time after Paul very nearly executed one of the prisoners they were able to capture, Commander Leslie Ironhewer was able to talk him down, saying. "Don't do it... this scum isn't worth it... let him go and he'll get done for everything we've suffered... I promise you." Paul did indeed let it go and he helped his wife come to terms with the magnitude of their losses. They ended up having a single child and then a set of twins the next time around after she had adjusted to the implants. Selene likes to spend her time in the gym as she find it helps her focus but she's also been hurt many times in the gym as a result of this, Paul often find himself seducing his wife in the gym or he's talking her to sickbay to heal her various wounds. Now the two of them are settling into their assignment on the USS Toronto, him as Chief Engineer and her as Chief of Science. |
