Mission: Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0900Hrs - June 5th, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi walked down the hall with Fives beside her. "You sure you want to be here Fives?"

"Yes... This is my responsibility as much as yours.... I want to raise this baby... and Elizabeth, her husband and and I did talk about it... at length.." Lasky explained.

"So Elizabeth is good for this.... I don't want-"

"She is... Wait, she didn't tell you?"

"No.." Torilla sighed. "She didn't...."

"Ahh.. I think it was because she wanted you to go to her..." Fives sighed as the two entered sickbay. "Hello Doctor, we're here for my appointment.."

Sokanon blinked her eyes as she nodded. "Yes... right this way. we are set up for you guys, Ensign Yamaguchi is already here and is prepared."

"Okay.." Torilla sighed. "Lets do this."

Windspirit walked in, surgical garb donned, saying to Sokanon, "Well, lets get this started."

Sokanon nodded. "Very well. I will go scrub up and join you in a moment." she responded

Torilla said nothing as she followed Windspirit to wherever she was heading.

Nalla came into the room freshly scrubbed and alert. At first, she looked to her student and wondered why she would go through the pain most women endured at childbirth.

Torilla regarded the smaller woman. "Nalla... You been briefed?"

"I have," Nalla confirmed with her typical mechanical headbob. "I need a drip put in Ensign Yamaguchi with 30CCs of progesterone and a muscle relaxant."

Sokanon nodded her head. "I'll see to it." and with that she turned and moved off, leaving Torilla and Nalla alone. "Nalla...I'm sorry I won't be able to help you with your project." Yamaguchi said quietly. "At least until I heal from this."

"It is your project more than mine," Nalla corrected in her own unique manner that Torilla knew was concern. "This could also be a method to learn more about the female reproductive process as well for your people."

Torilla nodded her head. "Sounds good." she responded with a smile. "You sure you wanna be here Fives?"

"Yes. I should show that I care..... so yes, I'm sure I want to be here, this is my fault too." These were the first words spoken in about five minutes so everyone had assumed that he wasn't paying attention.

"We should get you on a bed beside your daughter," Nalla prodded as she gently squeezed Torilla's shoulder for comfort. At least she thought so, being more of a mimic to someone else's reactions.

Torilla nodded her head. "Alright..." as the two women moved into the operating area where Elizabeth was lying on a bed, her eyes were closed as she looked like she was asleep. Fives followed in silence.

Nalla signaled to Windspirit to close the sensor palette around Elizabeth. And she waited for Torilla to get in place before she did the same.

"We need to calibrate the transfer just perfect," Nalla cautioned Windspirit as she started to spool up the fetal transporter. "Remind me to page R&D for a better targeting lens. This is a good one, but nothing as exact as my portable surgical transporter."

Torilla made herself comfortable as she remained motionless, while looking up at the ceiling.

Fives made himself comfortable in a chair, he was well out of the way as he kept his silence, content to watch.
