"Are you sure you still want to Come," Varkon asked his diminutive Kiva Kurokuri friend Seykai.

Seykai replied confidently," Of course I am sure, you guys are going to need me, lets face it, I am one of the best at signals intelligence in starfleet, and I cant just sit here and do nothing while Teval and Hakaya are being tortured by the romulans."

Varkon didn't say anything more as they entered Roanokes transporter room and where beamed over to Dreamcrusher. The pair then wasted little time going to the bridge, and upon seeing the First Officer, Commander Telios Wintersnow, Varkon asked, " Is Captain Zuko here."

Commander Wintersnow regarded the unusual looking pair. "The skipper is in his ready room... can I ask what this is in regards to?" she was expecting the casual brush off, her body language indicated that that was what she was expecting.

Varkon gave her a simple answer," Well, two of our friends are being held by the romulans, we want to assist in the rescue."

Wintersnow raised an eyebrow. "Nothing wrong with that.." as she gave Seykai the once over. "I assume you're here for something other then combat.?"

Seykai nodded," Signals intelligence, that what I am good at."

Wintersnow nodded her head as she regarded Varkon. "Well... I will not deny you the chance to rescue our people." she rose to her hooves. "The skipper is expecting us." she went over to the ready room door before she tapped the doorchime.

The door opened and Zuko was standing at the door, saying," Well, lets go to the briefing room real quick."

Varkon and Seykai nodded then followed Zuko to the briefing room. Zuko then proceeded to call everyone whom was relevant to the operation to the briefing room, then said to Varkon," Well, I can definitely see us having you be apart of the rescue team, your species can shrug off quite a bit of abuse can it."

Varkon nodded," Yep, that and Teval and Hakaya are friends of mine, I cant just abandon them."

Zuko sat down in his chair, saying," Well fair enough," Then looking at Seykai he added," And what will you be doing. I know that because your species lacks thumbs, you wont be of much use in a fight."

Seykai wasted no time explaining," Well, seeing as you are an Ankuri, there are a few things that you may already know about. You know what an AI host is, right."

Zuko hadn't quite expected this answer, but he relied simply, "Yeah, I am aware of AI hosts, I take it you are one. Kiva Kurokuri usually do make good AI hosts."

Seykai then continued," Well, then I won't need to explain that, but either way, my skill is that I am really good at signal's intelligence, I figure that you could use my help."

Zuko just shrugged," Well, having a few extra analysts cant hurt, especially when time is critical. I take it Teval and Hakaya are also friends of yours."

Seykai just nodded while Zuko then asked, " Do you have any energy manipulator abilities.

Sekais answer was short "No, never had them."

Zuko then looked at the door as the other people involved in the op began to file in.

Commander Wintersnow filled in next followed by a shorter then average Bajoran woman wearing Marine green and a skirt, which among the marines was something of a fashion crime considering skirts didn't hide much. "Ahhh.. is this everyone?" the Bajoran inquired.

Rojas appeared in regulation dress along with Oriana who was in civilian clothing. They both quietly took their seats.

Hobbs also arrived. She looked for Tienn and sat next to her.

Tienn smiled as she regarded Hobbs. "Sergeant Major, Always a privilege." she commented quietly with a smile.

Zuko then proceeded to grab everyone attention, wasting no time in beginning his briefing. "Well, now that everyone is here, I'll go ahead and start. Yesterday, as some of you already know, Nine of Roanokes personnel was nabbed by the romulans, three of them were beamed off the ship, while the other six where captured when one of Ronaokes CAP patrols was ambushed by a romulan warbird and taken. The warbird took two of our fighters and an EWAC delta flyer, so we think that they are after our technology, because one of the people they took from the roanoke was the leader of their R&D team, Aerin Ranval. Since the USS Song of the East will be taking our position in guarding USS Roanoke, we will be the ones going on the rescue mission, along with the USS Toronto. Any questions so far."

"Will we be attempting to talk for our people or simply fight for them....?" Wintersnow inquired. "Also... if we are going to recover them using force... how many Romulans is too many?"

Zuko answered simply, "Talking for our people will only work if the romulans are even willing, which so far, we haven't heard a word. So In all likeliness, there is no choice in the matter. And as for too many, well I guess too many would be when there is more romulan ships around than we have torpedoes for."

Wintersnow raised an eyebrow. "Alright.." she responded. "Then... we will need more ordinance." a sigh escaped her lips. "Do we need to be in spacedock to receive our VLS systems?"

Zuko shook his head," The VLS tubes are in place, but starfleet hasn't finished finalizing the designs for the missiles yet, so we will have to make do with using our industrial replicator to keep up our supply of ordinance. plus so far the only fighter that the romulans have is those little attack flyers, which are only good for ground attack."

"Captain, I need to plot a course for the ship. Do we have any idea what direction we will be going?" Oriana asked.

Wintersnow nodded her head. "Well with the Toronto providing AWACS support, we will get our people back.... one way or the other."

"Captain, will you be wanting Marines backing up security for this... or just Marines alone?" Tienn inquired.

"Well, I'm not expecting that we will be boarded, however, when it comes to rescue operation itself, the marines will be leading the boarding actions if necessary." Zuko explained.

Tienn nodded. "My people will be ready for anything, I'll start running battle drills as soon as I leave here..... but we still need to know where we're going." she indicated the exotic looking Conn Officer who's question had still yet to be answered.

"We will be following Toronto as she uses her EWAC sensor array to locate the Romulan Ship that took our people, " Zuko explained.
