Outbreak

Mission: Mission 20: Outbreak
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1400Hrs - December 26th, 2390

Ra'Vak was busy in engineering looking over reports when Senior Chief petty officer Uldyssian Davis stumbled into engineering, looking like hell. Ra'Vak looked at him, saying," Hey senior, wow you look like shit, what happened to you."

"I feel... terrible.." Davis responded wearily. "I think I might have ate something.. I'm gonna throw up..." and with that he ran for the engineering bathroom, the sounds of someone throwing up could be heard for all within a dozen yards or so.

Ra'Vak walked over to Davis, saying," yeah, go to sickbay, see if you can get that fixed."

"Willdo." and with that the larger then average guy staggered out the door, sickbay being his destination.

Shortly after Alurian Del wandered in with Sparky, both of them didn't look very good either. Ra'Vak could tell that Alurian was very green in the face. "Woah, don't tell me your sick too."

Alurian nodded, "Yeah I feel like shit." He tried to begin his work, but within a few minutes, he too was rushing to the bathroom, only he didn't quite make it." Ra'Vak saw Alurian puke all over the floor, before he managed to crawl his way to the toilet. Not wanting to waste time, Ra'Vak commanded," Hey you go to sickbay too."

After finishing his puking, Alurian nodded, and stumbled out of the bathroom. Unfortunately he didn't quite make it out of engineering before collapsing. Ra'Vak rushed over, though Aluain tried to stumble to his feet. Ra'Vak took Alurian's arm, saying, "I'll get you there, don't worry."

Shortly afterwords both of them arrived in a very crowded sickbay, with Ra'Vak asking the nearest medic, "Hey what is going on here."

"Symptoms appear to be of a flu-generic," Furban spoke rather stoically. "Unforgettably, we do not have a lab staff working on the blood samples because of the influx of crew coming in with said symptoms."

Ra'Vak brought Alurian to the nearest open bed, which there where not very many left.

Davis sighed as he tried to lift his head. "Uhhh..." he groaned before passing out.

Lieutenant Sokanon sighed. "Looks like we have an epidemic on our hands.." she paused. "everyone, go clean up and change into scrubs, infection outbreak protocal Five." she said.

Ra'Vak looked at Sokanon, saying," So, what does that protocol mean, am I stuck here for now."

"That protocal means we suspect something is loose and will take precautions as needed." she explained. "How many of your guys have medical training?" she paused. "Go on... I suspect that Engineering will need you more then I need you..."

Ra'Vak nodded, and left Sickbay to return to engineering. He was concerned considering that this was two of his engineers already went down within minutes of each other. Upon reentering engineering, he noticed that several others in engineering where looking quite bad as well.

Meanwhile in sickbay. Sokanon made the difficult step of contacting he senior staff one at a time about the situation that was brewing before she looked around. "How many we got in thus far?"

"Fifteen people.." came the report.

"Lovely..." Sokanon reported. "Attention, all personnel.... I need anyone with any level of medical training to report to sickbay immediately. We have a situation that we need help with."

Meanwhile Teval had just met up with Lieutenant Gyva Kar Nevai Kroo, a Pahkwa-thanh Male, and a very big guy. Kroo, a 240 cm tall beta, looked down at Teval, whom was more than a meter shorter than him.

Wow, Your big," Teval commented.

Kroo replied with," And your adorable. Mind if i pet you."

Teval replied nervously," Well as long as you don't try and eat me or something."

Kroo chuckled," Nah, never could harm anything as cute as you guys. So anyway, what is it you want."

Teval didn't quite know what to make of the massive reptilian, but relied," Well, I have an AI much like Aerin, and he said you where working on a Neural interface ship that could allow me to interface with federation computers, also there is a pilot whom has both her hands disabled, and could use one as well."

Kroo gave the matter some thought, " Well, I do have them on hand, but we will need to go down to sickbay, and ask some of the medical staff to help, I don't want to do it by myself. When do you want to get it done though."

Teval nodded," As soon as is convenient."

Kroo was about to suggest a time, when the Sokanon's announcement came over the comm system, prompting him to say," Well, I guess I better help out with that."

Teval wanted to find out what was going on as well, so he went with Kroo to sickbay.

As Teval and Kroo where walking by the lounge, Teval heard sobbing, and looked inside, to see Siaxx sitting in the lounge, staring at a bowl of cereal. He said to Kroo, go to sickbay, I'll handle this one.

Kroo nodded and moved off, while Teval went into the lounge, Saying," Siaxx, they need you."

Siaxx was sitting at one of the tables, a plate of burrito's and taco's on the plate with two large drinks before her, neither were alcoholic as she was looking out into space, tears streaming down her face. "What is it Teval?" she asked quietly.

"Sickbay needs your help, Siaxx," Teval said softly.

Siaxx regarded the smaller being. "Alright...." she picked up a Burrito and with two bites, she crunched through it before she picked up her plate before wolfing down her food, she washed it down with a pint of dark sweet smelling liquid. "Okay.... fuck that was great... I needed that."

Neither Teval nor Siaxx said anything as they went to sickbay, which, upon entering sickbay, was a scene of utter chaos. Teval immediately noticed that a lot of people where sick with something, and the medical staff was rushing around trying to treat people.

Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "Whats going on?"

Sokanon came by. "Siaxx. go gear up, full isolation gear.. its getting interesting.." the Caitian commented. "Its good to see you." and with that she zoomed off.

Siaxx turned to Teval. "I guess... its good to be seen... I'd best go get prepped."
