Boomer was sitting in the lounge wanting to enjoy a decent meal but what he didn't or couldn't have known was that the Green Dragon was a very dangerous place since there was something horribly wrong. the first hint he got was when one of his flight deck personel suddenly collapsed to the deck.

Boomer went over to his side. "Johnston... easy. You okay?"

"I feel like shit skipper." the man groaned as he turned a few shades of green.

Boomer noticed as he called for a beamout of his fallen man from the Green Dragon before glancing around the room, he noticed a few people looked ill.

He tapped his combadge. "Boomer to Toshnarr. " he paused a moment to consider what he wanted to say "Go Red Two"

The response was slow in coming but after a few moments what he got back was enough to make his blood run cold. "The Fires of Winter won't help us this time sir."

It was code between Boomer and many of the guys in the air wing to ask if there was something going on aboard ship as Boomer found out that there was an epidemic aboard the ship.

Tressa had her tricorder out and was scanning a man who was lying beneath a table; she pulled his shirt open and saw a dark bruise on his chest.

"Elevated temperature, contusion..."

Boomer looked at the smaller woman. "We'd best get out of here... this place just became the disease capital of the ship... come on.."

"We have to quarantine this room," she said as he pulled her by her arm.

"I know." Boomer responded. "Don't touch him..." he gently tugged her outside of the lounge. "According to Toshnarr its a bug that suddenly appeared aboard ship from nowhere..." Boomer sighed.

"Does Medical know?"

"Toshnarr does and he is medical... so I assume everyone else does too." Boomer commented. "If its airborne, we're all screwed.."

"We should get to the bridge, no I should report to Sickbay..." she said.

Boomer nodded. "That more or less makes two of us..." he sighed.

"We've been exposed," Tressa said. "Xavier and Kaylee! I have to get the kids!"

"No... you'll infect them..." Boomer gently caught her hand. "We'll figure something out... until we know what we're dealing with... they will be in the school... where they'll be safe..."

"Safe?" she said, her voice betraying her uncertainty. She took a deep breath. "So Sickbay then..."

"Yeah.." he said quietly. "I guess dinner is off.." he added, almost apologetically.

She squeezed his hand gently, leaning forward against him for a moment.

"Just when we get a moment to ourselves..." Boomer said quietly as he slid an arm around her as a sigh escaped his lips.

"That's our luck," she said. "You think the kids will be okay?"

Boomer nodded his head instantly. "I do. yes..." he commented. "The school staff will keep them inside under lock-down to keep them away from the bug."

She stayed close to him, wanting desperately to believe him.

"Come on..." he said quietly. "We'd best get to sickbay and try and find out what exactly we're dealing with." he paused a moment. "the kids will be alright.." he commented.

Suddenly the com system beeped. "Attention, all personnel.... I need anyone with any level of medical training to report to sickbay immediately. We have a situation that we need help with." came a distinctly Caitian voice.

Boomer looked at Tressa. "Megszakad a szivem..." (This breaks my heart...) as he sighed. "Come on... lets go." Tressa felt almost numb as he quickly led her away.

"We'll get through this.." he paused. "I hope.."
