I'm Not Crazy, I'm Just Talking to the Voices in My Head

Mission: Mission 19: Taking out the Garbage
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1200Hrs - December 26th, 2390

The last 16 hours had been interesting for Teval. He had spent the time getting to know his AI, Kima, and as it turns out, Kima's memories from before the injury, where still there. She had the ability to share those memories with Teval, and it was an experience that he was still trying to get used too. Another thing he had to get used too, was being able to talk through his AI, to Hakaya, Karryn, and Aerin, regardless of where they where on the ship. And As he found, out, the other AI's could talk to each other, and him as well, so he got to meet Hakaya's, Karryn's, and Aerin's AI's as well.

Needless to say, this was something that was going to take a while for him to get used too. As he was walking onto the bridge, Kima commented, 'What kind of dumbass puts their ships command center on the top of the ship, to these primitive idiots have any idea how to properly build a starship.'

Teval sighed, not realizing he was talking out loud again, replied," Now Kima, not so loud, no need to insult them."

Kima replied flatly, as several people stated staring at Teval, 'Your the one whom is saying things out loud you dolt.'

Torilla raised an eyebrow as she regarded Teval. "hey Teval... who's Kima?" she inquired as she suddenly narrowed her eyes. "Teval... on come over here.." she said, a healthy dose of motherly concern in her voice.

Teval blinked in embarrassment, and he just shuffled slowly to Torilla, saying," Um, yeah, Kima is an AI, I'm its host. We just met."

"Oh..." Torilla commented. "That explains a great many things." she commented. "I can feel a second presence within you..." she raised an eyebrow. "Tell me about her?"

Teval was a bit surprised, but was about to say something when Kima opened up her own mind enough for Torilla to detect it," Hey, I'm Kima, how are you."

Torilla almost jumped as she had thought that Teval had truly lost what little sanity he had left. "Oh..." she paused. 'Hello Kima' she thought. 'I thought Teval had honestly lost it... which... does tend to happen on this ship.... a lot'.

Kima corrected Torilla," No, Teval hasn't lost anything, he has just regained something.

Torilla raised an eyebrow. "Teval... do you need some time .... off?"

Teval sighed," No I'm fine, this is just going to take some time to adjust to, that's all, I haven't changed any."

Torilla raised an eyebrow 'Regained... how?' she inquired.

Teval just decided to explain," Well, I have a bio-neural implant in me, that is what holds the AI, which is formed by copying my own neural patterns, essentially. Well, when me and my sister ended up in federation territory, our implants where damaged and we where cut off from our AI's. Well, when we where picked up by starfleet, they didn't know what the implants where. Yesterday though, Aerin Ranval was able to reconnect the implant, and now I can communicate with and use my AI again."

"Ahh that's wonderful news.... isn't it?" Yamaguchi inquired as the turbolift doors opened and out came Siaxx Dvald, with a PADD in hand. "I'd like your signature before I hand this to the Captain." there was something in her tone as Torilla glanced over the PADD. "Siaxx... you can't be serious..."

"I am... This... has to be done.."

Yamaguchi slowly leafed through the page-long letter before she reluctantly signed the letter as the witness. "Siaxx.... It doesn't need to be this way."

Siaxx accepted the PADD back. "I'm Sorry.."

'Whats wrong with the blue one,' Kima asked tentatively

"I have no idea," Teval blurted out.

Siaxx blinked. "Whats going on?" she inquired.

Yamaguchi smiled. 'Kima, feel like helping me make the Blue one laugh?' she commented. 'I want her to think that Teval here has lost his mind.' what she said then was. "Oh I think Teval is losing it.."

Siaxx sat down in the chair to Torilla's left. "Oh.... is that bad?"

Teval gave a small growl in annoyance, while Kima wasn't sure what to really do, though she knew he wasn't very willing to play along.

Siaxx blinked. "Uhh... whats going on?"

Yamaguchi looked at Teval before she reached over to Teval, she gently pulled Teval onto her lap as she gently ran her fingers through
his hair as she gently rubbed behind one of his ears.

Siaxx thought this was amusing as a smile appeared on her face. "Torilla... you've gotten soft."

"No... just more understanding.."

Teval couldn't help but purr, when Kima commented, 'you always did like a good cuddle.'

This time being sure not to say it out loud, Teval replied with,' oh hush.'

Yamaguchi smiled. "The Skipper is in her quarters and... she's not seeing anyone... leave your PADD with me and I'll deliver it to her later... I'll give you until twenty two hundred to change your mind alright.."

Teval, still in the dark of the situation, asked," wait, what is going on here."

"Siaxx and Zara got into it... in sickbay and Siaxx attacked her.. twice.." Yamaguchi explained. "Zara revoked her medical license... and while Siaxx apologized.." Yamaguchi explained. "But things between them are now... broken." she paused. "Siaxx has come to resign. I want to talk her out of it."

Teval stopped purring in surprise, he didn't expect this one, and he wasn't sure what he could do. So he looked at Siaxx, saying," well, if you need someone to pet and cuddle, I wont mind."

Siaxx fidgeted. "Thank you." she paused. "It might help..."

Torilla handed Teval the PADD. "Thats whats going on.." she commented evenly.

"Hey!" Siaxx protested.

"You are intent on scuttling your career at this point.... you won't let me talk you out of it... would you prefer I ask Elizabeth or Rachael when she gets back to talk to you?"

Siaxx paused. "Point taken..... "

"Exactly.." Yamaguchi turned to Teval. "Go give her a cuddle.." she smiled.

Teval finished looking at the padd, shaking his head. Then, putting the padd, down and putting on the cute face, he said, " Siaxx, you really need a hug right now."

Yamaguchi gently picked up the PADD as she watched Teval crawl into Siaxx's lap as a sigh escaped the Bolian womans lips.
