Mission: Mission 103: The Rumblings of Discontent
Location: Various Locations - USS Solemn Penance
Timeline: 1310Hrs - August 27th, 2393

In the brig, there were four security guards on duty, usually, it was two but since the battle had started. Commander Walters regarded the four men before him and Gwen Adams. "Well guys, here it ends," he commented in a soft and sad tone of voice. "I must thank you for your excellent care of us. But you know what must happen now?"

The foursome regarded each other, warily. "We don't scare easy..."

"He's right." the second man answered, in a frightened tone. "We should never have done this!."

"You can join them then." as he was quickly relieved of his sidearm, the third man also handed over his sidearm. "Cage me as well then. I always thought you guys were mad... All I did was follow orders... Brevik was removed and nobody answered my questions." the third man sighed. "Now I will pay for my crime of betraying my Captain."

"Get back Commander." the first man growled as he dropped the forcefield, in came two security guards and the forcefield went back up. The fourth man looked uneasy. "Would you help us, Commander...?"

"I would. You were only following orders." Walters commented evenly. "You fed us very well, you were excellent jailers," he added with a nod, as the forcefield came down and the three security guards were placed in their own cell with the last man trying to guard them all. "You three guys are fucking kidding me right... you betrayed your uniform!."

"No,.. you betrayed yours... We saw that too late and we will pay for our crimes..."

"Not if I have anything to say about it," Walters answered. "I could have helped you four, you made no crimes, not against me anyway but the system will want you for illegal confinement. I will do what I can for you, I'll ask Captain Brevik to do the same... I can't promise anything, however... But I will do what I can."

"As will I," Adams answered in a quiet tone of voice. "You'll have the three senior members of the crew of this ship speaking on your behalf... That'll count for something."

"Maybe." The leader answered quietly as he turned his head. "Here comes your rescue..." and with that, he dropped his sidearm, as he turned away from the door and knelt down on the floor with his hands behind his head when suddenly there was a soft popping sound as the door slid open and in came a half dozen marines. "Go go go!" the leader shouted. "Do not move!"

"It's alright!" Walters shouted at the marines. "He's friendly, he was protecting us from others... It's alright!"

The forcefield popped as it fizzled out and a marine appeared as if conjured by magic. "Commanders Walters. Master Chief Adams?"

"That's us," Adams answered. "Its good to see you, Captain."

"Its good to see you both alive and well. I'm Captain Tom Winters. Captain Brevik sends his regards... I'm here to rescue you and evacuate you to the Fall of Berlin... What of them?" he indicated the security guards with a suspicious glare.

"Evacuate them too... They were caught in an impossible position, wanting to do the right thing and following orders doesn't always work together... They were guarding us and they treated us well, Shkreli beat us both, they provided medical assistance. They are casualties of the situation Captain."

That was enough for Winters. "Alright, you guys heard the man, let's evacuate them all to the Fall of Berlin." and with that, the six rescuees were removed from their cells and evacuated.

Winters smiled as he watched the marines evacuate the wounded and the prisoners, they seemed to be in excellent condition which was odd considering they had been under lock and key for almost a week now. "Alright, saddle up, let's move out..." he paused. "Sickbay is our target." Winters then turned and left the brig area alone, his marines all proceeded to follow him as he moved towards his next objective.

Along the way, Colonel Gloria Schmidt and her last few marines, three of them in all, moved down a hallway when they ran into three other people. One of them was the new Wing Commander who looked rattled and nervous, the second was the air group master Chief who looked resigned and defeated and the last was a young woman with a fierce look in her eyes. "Are we all that's left?"

"All of us that's not on the bridge..." came the answer from Schmidt as a voice could be heard shouting nearby. "There they are, get 'em!" as The marines moved to stand back to back, they lifted their rifles as several of Solemn Pennances crew began to charge at them from various directions, the marines began gunning them down with their weapons on stun. "Keep those weapons on stun guys..." Schmidt ordered evenly.

The marines obeyed without question, all the while the large horde of Solemn Penance crew just kept coming. "We need to move, let's go!" the bodyguard commented.

"Go to where!?" Schmidt inquired. "We can't go anywhere." she tapped her combadge. "Schmidt to the invading marines, mayday, mayday, we're trapped by a large mob of Solemn Pennance crew who is after revenge. We surrender... Repeat, we surrender."

"We're almost to you. Hold on." as a forcefield sprang up nearby, followed by two more and around the final corner, came several marines led by Tom Winters. "Gloria Schmidt, What happened..." he commented as he approached her.

"We were going to surrender, we're all that there is that's not on the bridge when they attacked us..." Schmidt answered quietly as she slid her sidearm back into its holster.

"Wait, you were a part of the mutiny.?" Winters answered quietly. "Starfleet crew I can understand but... You were a marine... We have never participated in any mutiny before... Until now." he sighed. "I can't believe it..." as he shook his head, clearly he was disgusted with her. "Of all the people... Marines, please these people under arrest and evacuate them to the Rawalpindi." he let out a soft sigh as the small group was all detained quietly, none of them protested and were evacuated away. Leaving Winters and his marines alone. "Alright, let's evacuate the wounded over to the Fall of Berlin..." he paused a moment. "Winters to Brevik... All objectives complete sir."

"Fine work Captain, regroup on me, we're getting set to storm the bridge and your company would be desirable."

"Copy that, on our way... Winters out." and with that, he tapped the combadge on his uniform chest. "Status?"

"Almost done sir." and with that, the last wounded member of the Solemn Pennances crew was beamed away. "Correction, we're done."

"Fine work guys, let's go meet the Major and regroup." then he raised his voice. "Kay, let's go guys" and with that, Winters moved off down the hallway, his marines following in behind him.
