Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1330Hrs - January 22nd, 2394
Lieutenant Savannah Yamaguchi approached the double doors that were the entrance to the hospital. The two parted at her approach. She passed into the main lobby of the hospital as she ambled over to the front desk. "Hey. I'd like to get a quick medical check done. I want to know the genders of my two infants."
The nurse regarded her with a nod. "Do you have an appointment honey?" she asked.
Yamaguchi shook his head. "I do not," she answered honestly.
"Okay. First, what's your name?" she asked of Savannah.
"I'm Savannah Yamaguchi," Savv explained herself.
"Okay. So if it's just a genetic scan then I can squeeze you in." she paused a moment, "If you wouldn't mind taking a seat. I'll page someone free for you."
Savv did as she was asked, she went over to the waiting area before taking a seat. She then lapsed into a meditative trance while she waited.,
The nurse then tapped her display. She then sighed. "Any available Doctor to the front desk," she commented via the com system.
Meanwhile, ensconced inside her little den of sin was Lieutenant Commander Calliope Pravdin-Burgoyne. She heard the summons as she pulled her jacket off of the coat rack next to the door, she then went out into the hallway. Mostly any available doctor was usually done if someone wanted something small. Or it was a walk-in that needed a hand with something.
She went out into the hallway. "I'll take it guys," she commented as she passed two other Doctors who were heading to the same place. Pravdin-Burgoyne reached the front desk as she regarded the nurse who was sitting there. "Hey. I'm here for yur walk-in who needed help."
The nurse pointed Savannah Yamaguchi out. "She just wants a genetic scan done on her twins. Or so she said to me."
"Okay. I'll look after it and whatever else she needs." Pravdin-Burgoyne answered with a nod and a gentle smile on her face. She then went over to the young woman. "Savannah Yamaguchi?" she asked.
"Yes," Savv answered.
"I'll see you now. Follow me please." Pravdin-Burgoyne responded before she turned. She then made her way back to her office, and Savanah followed in silence.
The two entered the office as Pravdin-Burgoyne sat down in a chair. Savv sat down across from her. "So, what can I do for you?" Pravdin-Burgoyne asked.
"I'm looking for a genetic scan of my twins," Savv answered. "I wanna know the genders. Also if there are any issues with them," she explained.
"Okay. Thats easy enough to handle for you, honey." Pravdin-Burgoyne smiled at the other woman. She produced a medical tricorder and went to work. "Okay. You do carry twins. Also, they are in good health." she paused a moment. "Okay. Genders." she then closed her tricorder and smiled at Yamaguchi. "One male and one female," she commented. "My congratulations."
Savannah smiled warmly at the Doctor. "Excellent news. Thank you, Doctor," she answered. "That was all I wanted," she added.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I was expecting you to want more. Check, blood pressure and the like." Pravdin-Burgoyne expalined with a nod. "I'll update your paperwork."
The meeting was over as Savannah departed, she then made her way home. After a short time, she entered her quarters where she found Gabe and her mother still present. Torilla smiled. "Hey Savv. I was just telling Gabe how your chat went with Jason Reeves."
Gabe smiled. "Showed me what was said would be more accurate." he clarified his mother's statement with one of his own. "It was quite an event," he added.
Savv sat down next to her husband. "Well. I got the genetic test back and I had a full physical done. Both of them are healthy. It's a girl and a boy. so names?"
Gabe slowly smiled. "Savv. I think you're more interested in honouring your biological family's legacy than anything else. So, with that in mind."
Savv regarded her husband. "Why do you say that?"
"Because you've just met your biological mother. A major event for anyone. Then you lost her and now you've just met your biological grandfather and found out that you had an aunt on his side. Your's not the last Reeves. You not alone any longer." Gabe explained.
Torilla was sitting in silence as she regarded the two people before her. She could feel the conflict raging within Savv's heart. "Yeah. Gabe. Your right." she paused. "What do you think of Jason for the boy and Kimora for the girl.?"
"I like it. Kimora beats out my name. Sally." Gabe then smiled. "I wasn't expecting a second son. So Jason is an excellent choice too." he paused. "Jason Yamaguchi. Maybe your grandpa will approve. I'm sure he would approve of Kimora Yamaguchi." he added with a wide smile.
Savv smiled in response as she felt herself finaly laying those ghosts to rest. 'Goodbye Mom." she whispered softly.
