Mission: Mission 112: The Heart of a Truth Long Lost
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1200Hrs - January 22nd, 2394

Jason Reeves regarded the young woman on the display before him. He could instantly tell that she was his blood, she was his descendant. She had her mother's eyes. "Don't be, honey. He won't get near you. I'll have his head first." Reeves slowly grinned. "Now that I have great grandkids to get to know and spoil." he slowly smiled. "I suspect your spouse's family are already sharpening their blades. I shall not deny them their due. But I do want to get to know you, if thats permissible."

Savv slowly grinned. "Yes. It is. I look forward to getting to know you, Grandpa."

"Likewise, honey." Reeves answered. "I have so many questions. I hardly know where to start," he added, a wide smile on his face.

"I know. I'm in the same boat too. I have a lot of questions about Mom too." she paused as she registered that he had mentioned his other daughter. "About my aunt Leila as well," she commented.

"Leila is assigned in your area of the woods. Shje's part of group five or six, out of the ninety-second fleet." Reeves commented. "I'll contact her and let her know that I found you, after all this time. She will be overjoyed." he paused. "Her first meeting with you might be face-to-face." Reeves mused. "I know she's due back on Starbase Vanguard in a little over a month. So I suspect she will want to meet you and yours," he explained.

"Good," Savv answered with a gentle smile. "I look forward to meeting her," she commented. "But my list of relations is growing. Thats even better," she added as her smile widened.

Torilla smiled with joy. She had not expected this chat to go this well. Now that the door was open, these two could discuss relations going forward.

Reeves regarded Savv as he picked up a PADD. "I'll send you my contact information. The same thing I have with your aunt. That way, if you call. I'll know it's either you or Leila." he commented.

Torilla nodded as she went to work. "I have it," she commented. She transferred the information to a PADD before she handed it off to Savannah. "Here you go, sweetie," she commented before she nodded to Reeves who nodded back.

Reeves regarded Toprilla. "Who are you, before I forget to ask."

"I'm Torilla Yamaguchi. Savv's mother-in-law." Torilla explained.
"For several years. I was her only serious parent figure," she added.

Reeves paused. "Wait. What?" He then added. "I guess that puts paid to the notion that the mother-in-law is someone to be feared."

"I wasn't going to tell you so soon," Savv admitted. "But when I was placed into foster care. I was never adopted by anyone. I sorta fell through the cracks and spent my entire childhood in the system." she commented. "Gabe was the first person in my life to show any serious interest in my well-being. Being invited to come home to meet his family for Christmas was a real experience." she then smiled. "That's when I met mom here," she explained with a gentle smile. "I was utterly terrified and mom here was able to sense it. She was able to calm me and reassure me that I was welcome. Little did I know that my relationship with Gabe had started there, even if it took us another year or so to get it together." she then grinned. "Due to shall we say various medical concerns that have since been resolved," she added. "Gabe did not want to rush and I loved the relationship. Just hanging out with him was a raw experience."

The two discussed their mutual intrests and shared a couple of tales before they said their farewells. Savv smiled as the screen went black.

"I'm sorry Savv. I spoke out of turn. I didn't mean to say that about you." Torilla explained. Savv turned to face her. "Don't worry mom. I wasn't sure how to tell him I was unwanted."

Torilla gently hugged the younger woman. "You have a grandparent in your life now and an aunt who has a family of her own," she commented.

"It's time I found out about the gender of my twins. Then Gabe and I can discuss names." Savv commented.

"Okay. Do you want either of us to go with you?" Torilla asked in a soft tone of voice.

"No," Savv answered in a soft tone of voice. "It won't take me long. Besides it'll be fine. I want a few moments to process what just happened." she explained with a gentle smile. She turned and went out of the study. She then departed her home a moment later. Her next stop was the Starbase hospital. She made her way top her destination before she found herself at the hospital's double doors.
