Mission: Mission 114: Be All My Sins Remember'd
Location: Various Locations - USS Pembo
Timeline: 1900Hrs - November 8th, 2393

Yamaguchi returned to the bridge but first, she had another stop to make and thus. She found herself passing through the doors of sickbay and abandoning all hope. She went over to where Kadian Paris was leaning up against a bulkhead wall. "Doctor... How are things?"

"Twenty-two wounded. Of these, nineteen are new..." Paris explained with a nod of her head. "Mostly the kind of thing you would expect from a space attack," she explained.

"Doctor. I'm afraid I need everyone at their post as soon as you can get them there." Yamaguchi sighed. "I'm sorry."

Paris was many things and this was her first assignment as Chief medical officer of anything. "Don't worry skipper. I'll get them there." the younger woman answered with a smile.

"Alright. Then I'll leave you to it Doctor." and with that. Yamaguchi turned and departed in silence. She reached a turbolift and was on the bridge some five seconds later. "Status update please?" Yamaguchi asked of the assembled bridge crew.

Half of the bridge crew was not present on the bridge as they were all off, handling other issues and problems around the ship. Benjamin Kuuztin was assisting down in Engineering as was Senior Chief T'Paaru. Lieutenant Suvek Duval was assisting in medical as was Ensign Paul Harrison.

Tienn Halaar turned her head. "Our present status is unchanged Captain. However, we know the enemy patrol that attacked us got a distress call off before we were able to disable them all."

Yamaguchi sighed softly. "Any word from the strike team?"

This time, it was Lieutenant Fred Noonan who answered. "They say their objectives are secured and they are busy downloading the captured data to us."

"How long?" Yamaguchi answered.

"It'll take ten more minutes," Noonan answered.

"Is there any way to speed that up?" Yamaguchi inquired.

"Not unless you wish to consider signal degradation and interference from the host star." came the unexpected response from Lieutenant Penthesilea Rohr. She was presently serving this assignment as chief tactical actions officer and up until now. Ilea as she was commonly known, had been rather silent until now.

"How long before their reinforcements can arrive?" Yamaguchi inquired, she wanted to know how long she had before this mission went south for the last time.

This time. It was Penny Smith who answered as she consulted her display. "They are thirty minutes out," she reported. "However as the slipstream drive is still another forty minutes from being repaired... They will arrive in the system before we are able to escape."

"Lovely," Yamaguchi answered in a flat tone of voice. Then suddenly, the comm beeped. "Red Queen to White Rook. Mission complete. Ready for extraction."

"Well Done Red Queen." Yamaguchi turned to Smith, who had not moved from her pannel. "Get them up here..." she commented to the younger woman as if ordered lunch from the menu in the galley.

"I'm already on it sir," Smith answered, while her fingers made their way over her pannel. Her efforts to carry out her Captain's orders succeeded as she turned her head a moment later. "Got them all. Transporter rooms one and two," she commented. "Also the download was completed."

"Outstanding." Yamaguchi turned her head. "Helm, break orbit..." she commented. "Take u down... Towards the star..." she commented with a smile. "They will be looking for our warp signature," Yamaguchi added.

"I already considered that. It was the first thing I had Engineering disabled when we finished disabling all of those ships..." Tienn explained.

Yamaguchi found herself regarding the younger Bajoran woman before her as she pushed aside an urge to want to take the other woman home and to her bed. "Very nice El-Tee. We just need to keep them off balance until we get our slipstream drive back and then we can escape."

The younger Bajoran woman knew what was being asked of her. She then brought the impulse engines to maximum power while she plotted a course that would take her near the system's star. "Alright. Here we go." Tienn commented to nobody in particular as she flew the ship heading down the gravitational slope towards the two stars.

"Captain." Smith turned her head. "The enemy reinforcements have arived," she reported.

"I think they are late," Yamaguchi commented. "Number and types of ships please Lieutenant?"

"I'm reading three destroyers and one cruiser..." Smith commented. "They are looking around... and are scanning the region." she paused as she turned. "They have located us... The two destroyers are assisting the base we raided and the cruiser is coming after us."

Yamaguchi tapped her combadge. "Bridge to Engineering. I hate to be a pain but... How long?" she asked.

"Two minutes Captain." Dragon's voice came back. "I'm almost finished," she added.

Yamaguchi smiled. "Penny, Tienn," she spoke to her Operations officer and chief conn officer respectively. "Prepare for slipstream flight... Any heading, any location... Use your best judgement."

"Bridge. Engine room. Slipstream drive is online."

"Well done Ms Dragon. Go Tienn!" Yamaguchi ordered. The display showed the starlines being warped as the drive kicked in. Within moments they were away from the system. On the first leg of their journey back to Starbase Vanguard.
