Lasky gently placed the small-framed, heavily pregnant Bolian female into a nearby chair, before he pulled the medkit off of the wall. "I want to be sure... I don't need issues coming at me because I was an idiot." as he regarded the small Bolian female nearby before he came back to her. "I think we both should try avoiding that concern again... Wouldn't you agree?"
"Fair enough," Dvald-Vaxx answered as she kicked off her boots. "Oh...." she sighed as if she was just finishing a sexual encounter rather than expressing a sigh of relief. "Starfleet designs really crap footwear... You know that, right?" Dvald-Vaxx asked Lasky gently, before settling in to expect a long bollocking on the matter. What she got was a major shock to her.
"Oh. Tell me about it. Which is why I never wear it." Lasky indicated the black pair of sneakers he was wearing. "These are a Torilla-inspired design. Y'know that woman really is something of a genius when she wishes to be..."
"You get to bed her on a nightly basis," Dvald-Vaxx commented with a smile on her lips. "You really did get the forbidden fruit."
"I did," Lasky answered as he went to work on looking at the small Boilians wounds. "Your wound... It's nothing major, you went over on your heel." Lasky regarded Siaxx. "You really should stop wearing heels, honey... According to Plataea, they are a nightmare to work in. Especally while being pregnant."
"They are..." the small Bolian agreed. "Alright." Dvald-Vaxx sighed softly. "Now... What about Elizabeth?." the small Bolian pressed.
"I do not plan to get involved but I am concerned about her well being... I have too few friends in this world and I am not about to start squandering the ones that I do have..."
Dvald-Vaxx regarded him with a look in her eye. "Take care lest you let your heart become a weapon... Don't let your personel feelings get in the way... I know that on some level you are in love with her." her eyes lost nothing as she explained something Lasky had already known for years.
Lasky nodded his head, accepting her statement at face value as he had decided to not fight with the small-framed Bolian. "You're not wrong Siaxx... Plataea knows it too."
Dvald-Vaxx regarded Lasky with a curious look. "Do you think Plataea is envious of her niece?"
"I hope not... She's the one I had children with. Not Beth." Lasky answered softly. "Siaxx... What are you saying?" he was unsure of where their conversation was heading and thus, he decided it was time to bring the matter at hand to its conclusion.
"I am saying that maybe Plataea feels insecure where Elizabeth is concerned. I saw what bringing Kurt to term did to her and did for you." the small Bolian commented softly. "It changed the essence of who you were... It brought out a side of you that I didn't think even existed... A man who cared... A man who could be a father." she paused as she considered if this was wise to be said but then Dvald-Vaxx threw caution to the wind and elected to press on with what was being said. "Tom, when I first met you, you were a walking rage care, full of hatred and anger... You were ready to give up and die... Then Elizabeth came along and either by accident or fate, she gave you a chance to change who and what you were... Elizabeth was the one who gave you hope... Who gave you a future... Elizabeth made you believe again..." she paused. "Plataea didn't do that. Elizabeth did." Dvald-Vaxx then smiled. "Plataea only picked up where Elizabeth left off..."
"Siaxx... second chances are so rare... She gave me a third and a fourth... Then along came Rachael who did it as well." Lasky commented softly.
Dvald-Vaxx nodded her head. "That incident over Goranar. I honestly believed you were out to fuck Rachael..." the small Bolian commented. "Considering how things went down between you two... I didn't think things would ever get resolved between you two..."
"I never bothered filing charges. I figured my words were enough... But I never bothered to ask why she came up to the bridge... I never stopped to think about it at the time... but time has made me wise... As have other people... Namely yourself." Lasky sighed softly. "and yet, here we are. Again... We've come to this crossroads again and again..."
"Indeed." The small-framed Bolian woman agreed. "Here we are... What will you do now?" as she looked up at him, not unkindly.
Lasky sat down next to Dvald-Vaxx in the next chair across from her. "I was going to go to Elizabeth but... Now I don't know." he sighed softly.
"Tom, you are a good man... You do care and that is something that's all too precious in this world." the small Bolian explained softly. "Paying Beth a visit would not hurt..."
