Fleet Captain Siaxx Dvald-Vaxx sighed softly as she rounded the corner and found herself coming face to face with a man who had spent the better part of two years dogging her existence. "Admiral Lasky. Fancy meeting you here..."

"Siaxx..." Lasky answered. "Yes... You never call, you never write... It's almost like you and I don't get along." he commented in a rather dry tone of voice. "How are things?" he inquired of the small pregnant Boilian female before him.

"Ahh, you know... The usual..." Dvald-Vaxx answered in a coy tone of voice.

"Assume that I don't know the usual," Lasky answered with a rather evil grin. "Come now Siaxx... Don't be coy, it doesn't look good on you."

"You already know about Elizabeth and her situation," Dvald-Vaxx answered quietly. "Leave it be Tom... Let others handle it," she commented, afraid that the two of them were going to fall back into the old habits of warfare and mistrust, which had dogged both for over two years now.

"You never asked me who told me... Or why anyone did." Lasky answered quietly. "Walk with me Siaxx, nice and slowly... I do not need to be stressing you more than you already are... It would displease your husband and I fear I am quite high on his shit list at the present time." Lasky commented evenly.

"Chen doesn't care too much about you." The small-framed Bolian explained as she began walking beside Lasky, she did apprecate the slow pace but she was capable of far faster then this, as she knew he was too. "He lets me fight my own wars..." Dvald-Vaxx answered. "No, your issue is not my husband, it's my son." the small Bolian commented. "Ma'haat is ferociously protective of me, considering he knows what I endured as a teenager," she explained.

"Oh?" Lasky raised an eyebrow as he mentally recalled a few details he was privy to regarding the events that had happened to Siaxx when she had been a teenager. Part of Lasky was happy her uncle was dead while another part of him was angered over what had happened. Lasky also knew about Siaxx's various children and the fact that they all knew of the details, what didn't help matters was their various reactions to various events. Ma'haat was her second child but he was meaner than his elder brother and more dangerous to boot. What was more interesting was that he had feelings for Saki Yamaguchi-Cullen. He raised an eyebrow. "He will make some girl very happy someday... Maybe it'll be Saki." as he suddenly smiled at the Bolian who regarded him with a suspicious glare. Lasky grinned in response.

Dvald-Vaxx looked suprised as she regarded Lasky with her usual suspicious glare. "How do you know about that?" as she asked the question, the answer was obvious as to how he knew about it.

Lasky saw no need to make up stories out of school so he decided to simply tell Siaxx everything he knew. "Well... Rachael had mentioned it in passing. She was uncertain about matters because of Saki's unusual upbringing. Torilla also mentioned it in passing, she was unsure of how she felt about her granddaughter dating at so young an age." Lasky explained. "I told them both to not worry so much about it and let Saki handle the matter as she felt best. Both women should be there to help Saki with matters should their attention be needed but that this was a Saki issue and it should be resolved by Saki, alone. She will be direct in what she wants and when she wants it. Ma'haat will know in no uncertain terms to what Saki wants..." as he smiled down at the small Bolian beside him.

"Oh..." Dvald-Vaxx answered as she regarded Lasky with an odd look on her face. "I was not expecting you to say that so easily."

"Siaxx," he commented as he gently took her small hand in his, he then turned her so she faced him. "Let's go into that office so we can discuss matters and avoid any issues between us... We've already worked so hard to resolve the last issues between us."

"Alright," Dvald-Vaxx answered softly. She suddenly stumbled and before the small-framed Bolian could fall over, Lasky caught her before he gently picked her up in his arms. "Let me handle your burden Siaxx. If only a moment." and with that, the two walked into the nearby room and were gone from sight. Thankfully nobody had been present to observe either officer or their conversation.

Dvald-Vaxx was not the type to be manhandled so lightly but she knew that she had come within only moments from twisting her ankle, so rather than complain, she simply watched Lasky and said nothing. She prefered only her husband carry her anywhere but she knew that Lasky was acting with good intentions while he carried her in his arms, so she would not protest.
