Mission: Mission 114: Be All My Sins Remember'd
Location: Various Locations - USS Pembo
Timeline: 0930Hrs - November 2nd, 2393

It had been just over forty-eight hours since the battle that had seen the near destruction of the USS Pembo and now she would soon reach the destination she was hurting towards at high warp. "Tienn, time till arival?" Yamaguchi inquired as if she were reading the Federation news service dispatches rather than in a ship that was presently fighting for its very existence.

Tienn turned her head ever so slightly as she answered her commanding officer's question. "Arrival in sixty seconds Captain..." the young Bajoran fought with her pannel as she tried to hold the ship's course. "I'm losing helm control..." she sighed as she realized she wasn't going to hold it. "Dropping to impulse..." she added a few seconds later. "I've lost control of the helm..."

"We're slowly spinning." Lieutenant Smith responded. "I'm assisting the helm to compensate."

"Nice flying ladies... We made it here..." Harrison sighed as she fought down a wave of panic.

Ilea looked down at her commanding officer. "We're presently inside the systems Oort cloud. Several weeks away from the stars even at impulse." she paused. "We're almost nine hundred AU out from the stars..." she added.

Yamaguchi nodded her head, while she processed that infomation. "Lovely. What our present course and speed.?" she inquired of Tienn who seemed more composed, calm and collected now that the ship and her crew were alive, in one piece and were at sublight rather than speeding along at high warp.

"We're presently speeding into the system at half impulse... More or less on a heading for the two suns down at the centre of the gravity well." Tienn answered. "At our present speed... We're about eight months from being able to harness any energy from the two suns in the system..."

Harrison sighed. "Lovely..." she turned to Dragon. "Taselle... How bad is it?"

"We have almost sixty hull breaches. Big and small, all over the ship... Since we're now at impulse... I can have two crews go EVA and start patching up the holes... and we can start the various repairs all over the ship... Inside the ship, well. The situation is better... Except for the warp drive which I will need to take offline... It'll need a full once over skipper." Dragon explained. "We have missile launchers but no phasers... Also... Long-range communications and sensors are out... We cannot call for help..."

"Lovely," Yamaguchi answered. "Do we have any coms or sensors left?"

"Coms... Only within the ship and on the hull... Sensors... Short-range only." Dragon explained. "When we get back to Vanguard. We're going to need time in the shipyard for some very serious repairs skipper..."

Yamaguchi knew all of this but she would note it for her final report. She then reflected that it would be an interesting report if she even got to write and then file it. "How long do you require for all the repairs?"

Dragon paused. "Well. For everything except the warp drive." she regarded the other personel before her on the bridge. "Two days..." she paused. "The warp drive is our major bone of contention at the present time." the large Cardassian female explained.

"How bad?" Harrison asked gently.

Dragon tapped the display once before she turned back to face Harrison and Yamaguchi. "If I were back at Vanguard. I could have it done inside of a week... As it stands... Half the coils in the starboard nacelle are fused... I'll need to rebuild the coil assembly from scratch... Six months... At least."

Tienn Halaar watched as everyone else fell silent in stunned disbelief. "So.. Whats opur new top speed and how long can we maintain it?"

"At present." the Cardassian woman felt utterly beaten. The look on her face said as much too. "Warp three point two... For four hours... Six, if we're cautious..." she then let out a loud sigh. "I have a team of six people going over the warp core and all the various drive systems... But for now, we're stuck at impulse." Dragon explained. "I've already begun assembling what I need to make new drive coils its gonna take time."

Yamaguchi knew she could press Dragon to work harder but it would gain nothing. "Alright... Are we still mission capable?"

Dragon paused, she had not been expecting the question. The Cardassian held her silence for a moment and then she nodded once. "Yessir, we are..." she answered. "But we need to stay undetected.." she paused. "We are also rather short on energy as well... If we can get close to the suns and collect some of their energy, it'll resolve all our issues over time."

"Alright then," Yamaguchi answered. "Helm... Steady as she goes... Take us to those stars... Best possible speed."

"Aye Captain..." Tienn turned to Dragon. "At our present speed. It'll take us weeks to get there... I'd like to make a short-range hop at warp to get there... But even at warp one... It'll still be hours away..."

"It's actually five days at warp one, to get to the stars." Lieutenant Suvak Duval commented softly, the first words he had said since coming to the bridge.

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "Alright. Helm. Get us underway then... If we can... Taselle. Pull anyone you can use for these repairs...I want them done R.F.N. Whatever you need to do... Do it."

"Aye Captain." Dragon answered. "I'll be in engineering." and with that, the large framed Cardassian departed from the bridge.
