"It matters not... I was a cadet when Gabe and I met..." Savannah paused as she turned to her husband. "Tell her. You tell this tale better then I do." She tried to smile but she failed.

Gabriel paused as he looked at his spouse, he knew why she had passed the microphone over to him, so to speak. It was so she could have a moment to compose herself. She needed a moment to process what she was being told. Gabe nodded his head. "Okay." he turned to Reeves. She was quite a looker and if she was present and closer, he might have been interested in her.

Gabriel regarded the older woman before him. "Savannah and I met by chance... She wanted some help with her math homework." he paused as he recalled the event. "Then she asked if I could help her move the sofa... I decided to move the sofa using my abilities... Our relationship was a casual thing... It started slowly. Then came Christmas Break... Keep in mind that the two of us were only just starting to date... I had a home to go to and Savannah didn't... To her, Christmas was just another day..." Gabriel smiled. "To some... its the end of the world... To Savv... Its Tuesday."

Reeves nodded her head as she smiled. "Sounds like Sav turned out better then I did." she paused. "So... What happened next.?"

"I decided to ask Savv here out on a date... I said it was lunch and I asked her if she wanted to come home with me to meet my family for Christmas... Sav had never really had a decent Christmas and she was not expecting to be invited." he explained with a gentle smile on his lips. "Officially, however, we had just begun exploring the possibility of a relationship... But unofficially, Savv and I were now dating... Of course, she was a hit with the ladies of my house... My mother especially." he smiled. "Mom and Savv hit it off right away. Of course, mom took me aside and told me to be gentle with this delicate wallflower... I knew I couldn't rush into things anyway and I wasn't going to... Because of... Shall we say various medical concerns which have been resolved in the time between then and now." Gabe sighed. He hated discussing his Halanan side with anyone. "What took most people two weeks, took us two years... I wanted to be sure... and I wanted Savv here to be comfortable with things... As Halanan's mate for life and I am more Halanan then human... Neither Rachael nor Elizabeth had that issue... But then none of my other siblings does either... I guess I was just cursed with it... So I needed to be fully sure of things... Once we both were sure... Things progressed with speed... Gideon came along in our third year at the academy, the twins were a year later and here we are now... Several years on..."

"Oh wow," Reeves answered. "So you didn't want to screw around, imprinting yourself psionically on anyone else... Even Savannah here." She commented. Gabriel was impressing her more and more by the minute. Jake and Torilla had clearly done something right somewhere with this young man before her.

"No," Gabe answered. "I wanted Savannah to be comfortable with the notion that I mated for life... Mom and I seem to be somewhat unique in that ability... That's another that thing that's also been resolved... Thanks to medical science giving me the ability to separate our bond should it be required. Mom however doesn't have that concern, she likes being mated to my dad." Gabe suddenly grinned. "Personally I think they make such a cute couple. But that's me," he added the last with a rather wide grin on his face. "Besides... In Savannah I trust. All others pay cash."

Savannah smiled as she gently gave her husbands hand a gentle squeeze under the table.

"Fair enough," Reeves answered with a gentle smile on her lips. "I wish things had gone better for me." she paused. "So, how did you meet Torilla?. April spoke of her sister-in-law often."

Savannah smiled. "Torilla Yamaguchi... I remember first meeting her and being absolutely terrified of her. What did not help was that she could read my every waking thought and emotion..." she paused. "I felt her touch my mind, trying to calm me... It was... Really strange... I could hear her voice inside my head. Telling me it was alright... That I was welcome... I was a completely open book to her and that alone, sealed our friendship..."

"I heard she was a telepath..." Reeves said quietly.

"Mom is a telekinetic too. She passed those abilities to all of her children... Including me... and I've passed them onto our children.." Gabriel explained with a gentle smile.
