Mission: Mission 111: The Sorrows of Night
Location: Various Locations - Starbase Vanguard
Timeline: 1245Hrs - October 25th, 2393

Solusar-Yamaguchi moved into the bedroom where he found his wife sitting on the bed. She had tears flowing freely down her face. "Kam, what have I done?"

"You told her how you felt... Sometimes it can be hard to do..." Solusar-Yamaguchi commented gently.

"I punched her... I've never done that before..." Elizabeth answered quietly.

"I know Beth. That's not like you." Kameron gently sat down next to his spouse, as he gently took her hands into his. "That's more my style... But you have been through an incredibly trying ordeal over the last few months... But it's over now..."

"Yes..." Elizabeth answered. "Is that your dad outside?"

"Yeah, he just showed up right as Doctor Fordring was leaving. That wasn't a pretty sight either. I was waiting for him to lose it but he didn't... A real display of self-control there..." he commented.

"I'll be starting work for the General tomorrow," Elizabeth commented quietly. "He is okay with my issues... Right?" she inquired.

"So you did decide?" Kameron asked of her, He gently smiled as he did so. "Good. It means that nobody else can touch you," he added. "Not least medical..." he added.

"What happened wasn't all Galiaan Fordring's fault... Galiaan was one of the more reasonable ones as she allowed me to get away with certain things when I was working with her like resting and taking a nap. Galiaan was good at handling my paperwork... No, it was the Beta watch guys who caused many of my issues." Elizabeth sighed softly.

Kameron regarded his wife. "Except Doctor Fordring has taken the fall for it."

"She will deal with the beta watch medics and clean up the medical issues," Elizabeth answered quietly. "Considering I punched her in the chest before she left..."

"I did not see that one coming," Kameron admitted softly. "Maybe Doctor Fordring can clean up the mess this little disaster has left behind," he added. "What will you do if she can't?"

"Then it will be time for me to move on..." Elizabeth paused. "I have skills in administration... So maybe I could move into Operations... I can ask to spend some time on the Starbase learning from Aunt Plataea before I take another assignment somewhere."

Kameron hadn't moved. "If that's what you want, then we'll see it done. I could always ask Tom Lasky to help with matters?"

Elizabeth almost dismissed the idea outright but she thought about it. "That... makes sense. I don't have an issue with it." she slowly smiled. "Give me a minute to get cleaned up and I'll be right out." she paused. "I can't let your dad seems like this. He might want to murder Galiaan Fordring. I got enough issues to handle at the present time, we don't need any more."

Kameron nodded as he stood up. "Alright. Though knowing dad, he's in the kitchen making dinner... Just like last time and the time before that."

"I don't mind actually... Your dad is a nice guy when he's not letting the uniform get in the way... But at least he's trying to work things out with you. Same with your mom." Elizabeth commented before she moved into the bathroom to begin cleaning herself up.

"Yeah... It's funny..." Kameron paused a moment as he considered the statement. "How a disaster seems to bring us all together again." he smiled before he moved into the living area where he found his dad was busy preparing dinner. "Hey Kam. I hoped you guys didn't mind my making dinner for you."

"I've never objected dad and... Frankly, I never will." Kameron answered with a smile. "You're a better chef than I am," he admitted, he sighed as he was expecting to take some flack from his father for his lack of culinary skills.

"Well, that is understandable," Solusar answered with a gentle smile. "You're always busy. Robbie and Beth notwithstanding," he added. "You never get the time to learn how to cook... Besides you can always learn later..." Ranik commented as he began dicing the potatoes into long, thin strips. "Elizabeth looks like she needs a meal that'll put some meat on her bones," he added after a moment. "So it's steak with coleslaw salad for you two tonight with a side of fries," he added.

"That sounds great Dad," Kameron answered. He went over to the replicator to get himself something to drink. He ordered three drinks, he then lifted all three before he handed one of them off to his father to took it without comment or question. He placed the second drink aside for Elizabeth and the third, he kept for himself.

"So, what was all that about earlier?" Ranik asked gently. "When I showed up. I wasn't expecting Doctor Fordring to be departing." He knew that something had gone down, he was unsure as to what had he wasn't sure if he wanted to know either.
