The OISU

Posted on Fri Mar 13th, 2020 @ 8:33pm by Grand Admiral April Yamaguchi & Master Admiral Pasha Andreyev & Grand Admiral M'Tala & Grand General Tom Walther

Mission: Mission 91: The Sum of All Fears
Location: Various Locations - The Sherman System
Timeline: Aug 17, 2392

Admiral Yuvo walked onto the command center of the Cosmic Noble where Ryuukei was already located. Ryuukei pointed out the holo-display. "Well, OISU officials are here."

Yuvo nodded, looking at the holo-display, which displayed the newest arrival, the Formidable class superheavy starship Great Eclipse, which was 38 kilometers long and a mass of 258 billion metric tons, and the flagship of the 11th JIF.

"When do the federation officials arrive," Yuvo asked.

Ryuukei looked at the time. "They are scheduled to arrive in 5 minutes.

Moments later the first nine of twelve Federation ships appeared from warp, mostly smaller ships, four Akira and four Achilles class ships were the first to arrive along with a small carrier which the sensors read as the USS Envoy which was a variant of the older Galaxy class before she began disgorging fighters of out her hangers. There were several more Federation ships arriving for this meeting and among those was one Guardian Class starship, marked as 'USS Reaper - BB65'

Captain James Munroe turned. "Very nice," he commented. "Number one let's inform the President that we have arrived at the conference site."

"Aye Captain." and with that. Commander Harry Fletcher went about seeing the order carried out.

M'Tala walked onto the bridge, looking at the main viewscreen, which showed the massive 38-kilometer long Akurian starship. "That is one massive ship."

"Yes," Munroe responded. "There are two Akurian warships. The second is the Cosmic Noble variant but this one is much more massive," he explained. "I wonder what it would take for the Federation to make something along those lines," he added aloud, while in thought.

M'Tala nodded. "Alright well, Kurso has informed me that these ships are not easy to transport into, so we will have to use shuttles."

Munro nodded. "Very well," he commented evenly before he turned to his first officer. "Inform the President of that fact," he commented before he turned to the Operations Officer. "Prepare several shuttles for departure."

"Yessir." came the response.

Hursk then left the bridge and went to the shuttle bay. When she got there she saw the president was already present, along with Grand Admiral Pasha Andreyev, Grand General Tom Walter, Marshal Myzar Zinov, Grand Admiral April Yamaguchi, and the legendary Ambassador Jean-Luc Picard.

Meanwhile, on the Noble, Yuvo could barely believe what Cirroko just told him, "Wait, there is a supreme Councilor on board the Great Eclipse?"

Cirroko nodded, "Yep, Supreme Councilor Streibo Leisaa is here."

Yuvo ran a hand through his tail in surprise. He didn't think that the OISU would send a supreme councilor, the highest ranked official in the OISU, to visit the Federation so soon after its discovery. "Well, looks like the OISU is more interested in our find than I thought."

"That makes two of us," Cirroko remarked. "Well, we might as well get to the great eclipse ourselves."

Yuvo nodded and followed Cirroko to the nearest teleporter gate room.

Zeyss showed up in the shuttle bay to meet up with his rather large entourage of admirals. Once he boarded the shuttle he said to everyone else in the shuttle, "So, are we ready for this."

There were a few looks around the room as April Yamaguchi sighed softly. "We'll be fine," she commented lightly. "After all, we do come in peace so do they," she added quietly. What she left unsaid was 'we hope.'

Zeyss headed for the presidential shuttle, which was a modified mosquito II class large runabout, followed by a rather extensive entourage of secret service personnel, federation admirals, and officials. The large mosquito class runabout had been in service with the Federation for some time, however only recently did ships get large enough to dock one internally. However, even a guardian class starship struggled to fit a single Mosquito within its largest hangar bay.

Yamaguchi regarded the massive runabout. "Only the largest ships can handle those runabouts." she paused. "I guess we're going to mass produce them now.?"

"Yeah that's the plan," Zinov answered as the group boarded the runabout. "We are going to start seeing far more of these things in active service."

As soon as everyone was aboard, the massive runabout left the hangar bay of the USS Reaper and headed for the much much larger OISU starship, its IFF code displaying the name, Great Eclipse. In the background a third superheavy starship exited FTL and entered the star system, this one also a Cosmic Noble Class. This one carried the name, Astrohammer.

Yamaguchi raised an eyebrow. "I always get a warm, tingly feeling inside when I see those ships." the Grand Admiral commented in a soft tone more to herself than anyone else.

General Walther regarded Yamaguchi. "Anyone ever tell you, that you worry too much.?"

"I do," Yamaguchi answered. "Hey, I just had two babies, I am entitled to worry." as she shifted her attention from the massive ship to the General who was addressing her. "You expect this to go poorly?"

"No," Walther answered. "I expect this to go nowhere. I'm German, we understand such things." he rumbled back at her.

"Wow, that's depressing," Yamaguchi answered. "How long till we land?." she inquired. "I'm getting seasick."

"April, we're in space, you cannot get seasick while in space," Walther responded in a dry tone of voice.

April simply facepalmed. "Oh dear god. Why me?" she inquired aloud. "How long before we land?" she inquired but there was no response save a few snickers.
