Mission: Mission 69: Tienn's Fall from Grace
Location: Outer Zul'Drak system
Timeline: 0700Hrs - May 5th, 2392

The Federation fleet emerged from warp in the outer Zul'Drak System as the USS Shinano and the other carriers with her began disgorging the thousands of starfighters from her hangers. Division Admiral Talon Yeager smiled as she watched the tactical display as she noticed the thousands of starfighters forming up into their various formations around their command ships when suddenly several dozen warheads came in from off the display.

Fleet Captain Kell Donos noticed the incoming warheads as well. "Starfighters, get those warheads."

The starfighters began to maneuver as Donos smiled. "Brilliant move. They saw us coming and launched early, hoping to spook us."

Commander Duran Syal, seated on Kell's right simply smiled. "Then they gave away their main tactic to us a little too early. However, they might try rushing us while we're swatting those things aside."

Commander Lakaris Dvald meanwhile finished her preparations. "We don't have see-whizz but my guys and I have come up with something that might help."

Donos nodded. "Feel free Lakaris. Let the Klingons feel our wrath."

"Gladly." the tall female Bolian tapped the firing controls before her with one finger. Suddenly dozens of bright orange places of fire emerged from the phaser arrays of the USS Shinano and the other ships, quickly swatting down and detonating the dozens of Klingon warheads that were flying towards the Federation forces.

Donos smiled. "Status?"

"All Klingon missiles destroyed. No losses to our own guys." Duran turned her head.

Donos nodded. "Admiral?" he inquired of Yeager's opinion since she was nearby on the flag bridge, she could hear everything that was being said on the main bridge just next door to a sealed compartment. "Lets move further into the system Captain. The Klingons are waiting for us."

"Agreed," Donos answered.

Yeager regarded the display of the system before her. "All ships, move into the system but stay together. Those tactics only failed because we got lucky. They might try it again."

The responses came fast and quickly before the fleet moved into the area with the second to last set of yards which were being defended by the Gorn, the area was alive with hundreds of explosions and ships from both sides, being battered by other ships from both sides.

Yeager smiled. "They are keeping the enemy focused on themselves. Attack now." and just like that, in Yeager's mind the die was cast and now all that needed to be done was to see the battle through to its logical outcome.

The Federation fleet turned and began morphing its formation as larger fleet units deployed for battle and the smaller units began to screen their larger cousins. Donos smiled. "Open fire.!"

"Fire!" Yeager's voice boomed over the com system, as thousands of missiles flew from their launchers on the swarm of Federation ships and their attendant starfighters before speeding downrange into the Klingon fleet, massive explosions could quickly be seen appearing all over the Klingon formation from the sides and angles they didn't expect as several Klingon ships were shattered by the force of the impacts.

The Federation forces advanced upon the Klingon force as thousands of warheads passed between the two forces as the Federation forces advanced towards the Klingon formations, with Federation starfighters shooting down the Klingons missiles as they moved towards their enemy.

Donos watched the information on the forward display. "Kenco, have groups four and five tighten it up."

Kenco nodded his head. "Aye, sir. Contacting them now." he let his fingers run over the display as he did so. His wife, seated nearby turned her head towards Donos. "I;m reading a Klingon battleship phalanx turning towards us."

"How many battleships?" Donos inquired, needing to know what he was facing

"Sixteen." came the response from the Vulcan female.

"Lovely. Let's kill them." Donos rumbled.

Duran Syal slowly grinned. "Lakaris. Target all sixteen and spam your ordinance"

Dvald nodded her head. "Spamming the ordinance. Emptying the launchers now." as the Federation ships began to start their maneuvers to engage the Klingon forces which were taking a real hammering from the enemy forces.
