Mission: Mission 90: Revisiting a Supernova
Location: B'kayor system, multiple vessels, primarily Akurian command ship Washaibos
Timeline: May 4th 2392

Kasana sat in her science lab looking over past events when Rachael Yamaguchi walked in. The Kurokuri looked up at the former Borg queen commenting. "How many species do you know of having the ability to make star's go supernova.?"

Commander Rachael Yamaguchi regarded the small being as she paused. "Mmm." she began to search her massive memory database that was part of the collective. "To the best of my recollection. Nineteen." she paused. "The Federation is, however, not among them." she paused. "Most of them were assimilated by the Borg already and there are only five species remaining. Should I list them for you?"

Kasana shook her fluffy head. "No, no need. It's just amazing that someone can even do that. The Akurian Confederation has been in space for eight thousand years and we have never been able to do something like that."

"The Federation discovered that a man named Tolian Soran was using his mad weapons to move something called the Nexus," Yamaguchi explained. "The crew of the Enterprise did not obtain the information to do so." she paused. "Why do you ask anyway?"

Kasana looked back at her computer screen replying. "Well, I have just been reviewing the event that occurred in the HD-385784-2395 Star System. It was a supernova created by a single large ship. We never really determined just what they were doing in that system, as at the time, the system had too much subspace instability to explore."

"I recall reading about that incident," Yamaguchi responded. "Mind if I have a look at the records from that encounter?" she inquired.

"Sure," Kasana got out of her seat, allowing Rachael to look at the computer, with the information of the event on it.

Rachael slipped her metallic form into the chair that the small being had just vacated. The Queen narrowed her eyes as she regarded the visuals before she tapped the display once. "That is a Tylwyth science ship," she commented. "Tylwyth hulls are composed of some extremely dense materials, mostly synthetic but exceptionally durable." she paused.

"Your entire group would have been able to take him but not without heavy losses," Yamaguchi explained. "But they do have the ability to not only blow up a star but also drain them of energy as well."

Kasana brushed a knot out of her tail while replying, "Well according to the latest probes, that system has settled down by a bit, so we might actually be able to study that area, figure out just what the hell they were doing."

"I'd welcome the chance to see this myself," Yamaguchi responded evenly. "Who do we contact to make this happen?"

Kasana set down the brush then answered. "We will have to talk to both Federation Starfleet command and to Nevanzi and Ukia Erivai. However, as far as I know, this ship, the Washaibos, is not assigned to any specific tasks at the moment. and we are not scheduled to do anything for a week or so."

"Alright," Yamaguchi responded. "I can request a ship from the Federation but they have their hands full with the Klingon assault on the Gorn Hegemony." she paused. "Or should we do this together?"

I suggest we schedule a meeting with a Federation admiral and an Akurian Admiral on the matter," Kasana suggested.

"Agreed." Rachael Yamaguchi responded. "What else do you have?" she indicated the records. "Did we miss anything?"

Kasana grabbed the computer with her notes on it. "No, this should be everything. Let's go."

Racheal followed the smaller being in silence.

Kasana walked into the command center of the old DS9 space station that was currently being used as the joint command and control hub for federation and Akurian activities in the B Kayor system.

The station was an old, dingy and rather battered space station, having seen continuous service for nearly 50 years now. Originally built as a Cardassian mining station of Terok Nor, the station became famous upon the discovery of the Bajoran wormhole and its renaming to deep space 9. However, in 2383, the federation decided to replace the station with a more modern Immense class starbase, which was finished just 6 months ago. Since the old DS9 was left intact, and B'kayor was so deep into Federation territory, they decided to tow the old space station here, while they figured out what space station they wanted to build in the system.

Kasana walked over to where Ukia Erivai, Zoka Ukar, and a Federation Admiral were talking.

Jake Yamaguchi smiled as he regarded the woman who was his mother, except she was now encased inside Borg armor plating. "Hey guys, welcome." he greeted Rachael and Kasana. "We were just discussing recent events," he explained. "Go on with what you were saying Zoka?"

The Android general turned her attention back to Jake. "Well I was just mentioning that all my Army units have returned to B Kayor, as there seems to be little need for their use, plus the space battles are moving at a very fluid pace, so my army units cannot redeploy fast enough to really keep up."

Yamaguchi nodded. "I understand," he commented. "I have it on good authority that April is planning a major strike into the Klingon Empire itself. She's working on getting approval for her plans but that's all I know. She tells me very little." he turned to the new arrivals. "So, what brings you two here?"

Kasana held up her notes," You remember that incident in the HD-385784-2395 Star System. Well, the activity there seems to have settled down enough to try sending an expedition there again."

Jake paused. "Torilla was part of that assignment." he smiled as he recalled the incident. "Yes. I recall." he paused. "I don't have a lot of ships available. I can give you three ships. The Tvashtar, the Rhineland and the Warsaw." he paused. "Will you recall all three or some of them?"

Ukia Erivai explained to Jake, " It is standard procedure for large ships to always have escorts however with combat operations going on, we have very few ships to spare."

"Well, Washaibo's isn't doing anything at the moment, "Kasana suggested.

Ukia frowned," Yeah, but we only have two destroyers to spare. And with a ship as important as Washaibo's, I would prefer to have as many escorts as possible." Ukia then turned to Jake. "If you can spare all three ships, that would be great."

"Very well. I will have Fleet Captain Yamaguchi report to you for this assignment. However, he is my twin, created in a transporter accident so he is my double more than anything else."

"One of the reasons why I am not hugely trusting of Federation transporters," Kasana remarked in a dry tone.

Ukia then turned back to Kasana," Alright then, take the Washaibo's, and the escorts and head to that system whenever you are ready. But don't stay too long, I need you back in 5 days."

Kasana nodded and looked at Racheal, "Do you want to come too."

"Sure," Rachael responded, a gentle tone of voice. "I've love to," she responded.
