Mission:
Mission 69: Tienn's Fall from Grace
Location: Watchman Station
Timeline: 1830Hrs - April 21st, 2392
Tienn Nerra was seated in one of the corner booths, with K'taro seated across from her, as a waitress came over, with two drinks and with a smile she placed them before the Bajoran and the Klingon. "You guys still need a few more moments?" she inquired
Tienn nodded. "Yeah... sorry.."
"Its all good sweetie." the fortyish something human female responded evenly before she turned and moved away again as Tienn sighed. "I can't decide on what I want to eat... What about you?" she inquired as she glanced towards the entrance, there was Kul in the lineup to enter.
"Oh, Kul found us." Tienn smiled.
Kul looked like he had been in a fight. K'taro looked at Kul but said nothing. "That female knew things." Kul struggled to say.
Tienn chuckled softly. "Thats Aleexa for you, she's not subtle that one... Have a seat sergeant. I'd say you earned dinner."
"Thank you major but I would like to return to the Hurgh maS." Kul told her. "I wish warnog and to be honest, I prefer Klingon."
"You are dismissed Kul. Thank you for your help." K'taro told him. and with that, Kul departed.
Tienn smiled. "Aleexa really wrung him out." she chuckled softly. "That woman is a Pah'Wrath in bed." as she regarded K'taro. "Are you mated with anyone?... anything like that.."
K'taro looked down at the table. "I am a widower. She was killed during the Dominion War. She was a navigation officer on a vessel that was destroyed."
Tienn mentaly sighed, but then she knew why she asked, she wanted to be sure. "I'm sorry." she responded, not sure of what else to say.
"Don't be." K'taro told her. "She died fighting. She died with honor."
"Fair enough." she responded as she decided on what she wanted. "Did you decide on dinner?"
"Something with meat." K'taro gave her a vague answer. "Why don't you order what you like for the both of us until I understand your cuisine?"
Tienn nodded. "Okay." and with that she signaled the waitress before she placed a large pizza for herself and two large steaks for him with a tankard of warnog for him and a large glass of soda for herself, the waitress took down the order and off she went.
Tienn smiled. "This place serves a little of everything... I don't think there is a Klingon place here otherwise I would have tried it." she commented.
K'taro was famished and picked the steak up with his hands and started to eat. "So tell me, how does a simple logistics officer become so proficient in weapons? Do you compete in tournaments?"
"No.. I am... or rather I was a Marine." Tienn explained quietly. "I'm assigned here to finish out my service before I get booted out of Starfleet for good." she explained while she shrugged. "I needed a security key for an exercise I was planning for my battalion, it wasn't filed properly and when I went for an explanation, things got stupid and I got into a fistfight with two people where I ended up losing.." she sighed. "It wasn't a bad loss however... One of my marines came down the hall yammering something at me so I laid him out too... then I got arrested for assault and conduct unbecoming... I lost my command and my career... My house doesn't want me because my brother attainded me." Tienn sipped her drink before the small woman shrugged her shoulders in a manner that said she didn't care, which honestly she didn't. "So... yeah.. I got... very little really left thats worth having."
"So the Federation removes officers that are expected to kill for fighting? I'm sorry but I am confused. That sounds like a normal day in the KDF." K'taro told her.
"Yeah.. I know." Tienn responded with a sigh. "Yeah... I got into a fight when I shouldn't have." she let out a sigh. "When I get finished.. I will go back to Bajor and reclaim my honor, taken from me by my brother."
"I am unfamiliar with Bajoran culture. Can you explain why you lost honor?" K'taro asked.
"A few months ago. my sister was severely wounded by several secret service agents who all but killed her during a tour of the sicbay on the ship she was assigned to." Tienn explained. "I questioned how the Prophets could permit something like this, I made the error of asking my brother since he is extremely faithful. He ruled that I had abandoned my faith... and so had me attainded. A Bajoran without faith is like a Klingon without honor." Tienn explained. "Except he did it unfairly as it was not his place.. It was my father's place... and I aim to go home and correct this injustice." she explained. "I have no idea when I will be doing this however.
"How does a Bajoran correct things?" K'taro asked, interested.
"Generally with a protest to the local vedek for the claim and the line... Me.. I'm not going to waste my time with talk... Kol is going to feel my wrath." as she regarded him. "Have you ever been to Bajor?"
"Do you mean in orbit or planetside?" K'taro asked. "If you mean planetside, no."
"Why don't you come with?" Tienn commented. "It could be awhile... But it would let us get to know each other better."
"What about your mate?" K'taro asked.
"I am not seeing anyone at present." Tienn responded with a smile. "I was seeing a Caitian but we both broke it off because of cultural issues between us.. " she paused. "My luck with men is just terrible." she added as the waitress came back with their food, she dropped off Tienn's pizza and the large plate of streaks went before K'taro for his dining needs.
K'taro grabbed three steaks as he nodded a thanks to the waitress. "These are good." He then started in on a fresh piece of meat. "that is too bad. I'm sure you would have made an excellent mate."
"Well... I'm not in any real rush." Tienn responded quietly as she picked up a slice of pizza, she rolled it before she began to eat it. "Besides.. While I'm not the easiest to get along with, at least I'm not a horn dog like Aleexa Binen, Now that woman is hard up all the time." Tienn suddenly grinned. "Everyone to her is fair game... even me."
"She gave Kul a good time." K'taro told him. "Do you eat like this often?"
"Actually.. I do." Tienn answered. "I find its always good to know about people before I meet them." she explained with a smile. "I can learn a lot from how someone walks, how they talk, their body language and how they eat their food." she added with a smile.
"That is rather astute of you." K'taro replied. "I do not have that patience you do."
"To each their own big man... You have the brute force and strength I can only imagine about." Tienn responded with a smile.
"Yes but that doesn't help in a ship battle or if that new junior officer is competent or a dolt." K'taro answered.
"Yes thats all true." Tienn responded. "I used to be an Engineer... I enjoyed my work... Except the Marines took note of me... and the skipper decided that I was a Marine so he arranged to have me become Captain Tienn rather then Lieutenant Tienn." she shrugged. "I was a rising star... Now I have been left with very little... and the worst part... I did it to myself." the small Bajoran turned her attention back to the Klingon male who was sampling the steaks on the plate before him.
Tienn smiled softly as she regarded him with a measure of affection as she turned her attention to her meal before her.
