Lieutenant Elizabeth Yamaguchi smiled as she regarded Commander Patricia Kingston. "Thanks for letting me borrow your officer Patricia."

"Oh.. Not a worry... Just be sure and leave me a copy of your final report... I look forward to reading it. Also send a copy to Celeste and Commander Ra'Vak on the Roanoke ..." the older woman paused. "Send Teval a copy too, jhe should read it.." she then smiled at Elizabeth. "I hope this goes well... because we both know it won't."

"Yeah Willdo." Elizabeth Yamaguchi made a quick note on the PADD in her hands as she sat down in Kingston's chair. "Mmm... comfy." she sighed happily as Kingston laughed at her. "Yes, a comfortable chair is a perk of this job... Just remember everything you've learned and you'll do well."

"Just then the door beeped. "Enter!" Kingston raised her voice. The door opened and in walked Warrant Officer Rachael Yamaguchi. The younger woman had a scowl on her face and she looked annoyed. "Right... I'll let you two get comfy." and with that Kingston took her leave in silence.

Elizabeth smiled as she recalled the note she had read earlier. "Operation: This will end poorly. Is a Go. Celeste sends her love and Patrica wishes you luck. I will end with saying I hope I have not asked too much of you. Mom."

Elizabeth shifted her attention from the PADD on her desk which she turned upside down so Rachael couldn't read it, before she turned her attention to her younger sibling. "Come on in Rachael. I won't bite."

"You... are going to evaluate me for... motherhood." Rachael inquired, it was also not a question either as both women knew this to be true.

"I've been asked to handle your case and be assured that I will do so properly. I will treat you no different then anyone else.. Have a seat and we can begin." Elizabeth indicated the two chairs before her.

"I don't need therapy." Rachael responded a trifle hotly. Before the shorter Yamaguchi took a seat.

Elizabeth regarded her sibling, she was not smiling as the large woman let out a sigh. "Everyone needs a little help from our friends from time to time.... I've read the particulars of your case... and my my... I can see you do need help Rachael.... Mind if I call you Rachael?"

"You're my sibling.." Rachael sighed. "Seriously!. Why are you involved anyway?.... You won't be able to keep this together.!"

"Thats irrelevant." Elizabeth responded. "You are my client at the present time, not my sibling." she then shrugged her shoulders in a rather gentle manner. "The fact that you are related to me does assist me greatly with my task... but I am not going to worry about rather potent details that I don't need to worry about."

"How so?" Rachael inquired as she regarded her sibling.

"Well... As you know. I've been training to be a ships counselor for the last few months and I've been greatly enjoying myself while I work..." the larger Yamaguchi smiled. "However... We are not ere to discuss me, my issues and concerns... More to the point, we are here to discuss you.. So... Shall we?"

"Shall we... Wait what?"

Elizabeth smiled as she regarded her younger sibling. "You have been through quite a roller coaster recently haven't you?, Saki having to adjust to a lot of things almost overnight and she can't do it can she?"

"Saki has rather specific needs.."

"Rachael.. perhaps I should explain to you why you are sitting before me rather then Commander Saia Azuresteel or Commander Patricia Kingston.. I'm simply the only person available.. so I was asked to handle you otherwise it would have been some hack from child services who frankly would have been out to shaft you with this... I have little patience for as they would have baited you with verbal traps and the like."

"So... I can expect the same from you?" Rachael jabbed at her sister

"Oh I find your lack of faith so deeply disappointing and disturbing." Elizabeth smiled as she parried her sisters jab. "Okay, so.. why don't you tell me what the issue is and we can see where it goes from there."

Racheal sighed. "Okay... When I was raising Saki on the planet. I was always around... Saki was taught to carry a bow with arrows, same as I was..." she paused. "I need to take up archery again."

"You should.. It would make an excellent bonding exercise for you and my niece." Elizabeth responded. "Anyway.. go on?"

"Well.. Ever since we came here, she's been acting out... She hasn't fit in at all and she is having issues socializing with others."

"Any ideas as to why this has come about?" Elizabeth inquired, cutting towards the heart of the issue before her.

"You know why Elizabeth... Stop being dumb." Rachael glared hotly at her sibling.

"Assume that I don't." Elizabeth answered. "Look... I was asked to handle your case and I told the powers that be that I would." Elizabeth explained for the second time as clearly the first wasn't enough. "Go on about Saki's issues." Elizabeth pressed.

"Saki doesn't fit in." Rachael snapped at Elizabeth, clearly coming to the end of her patience.

"Was she ever going to simply 'fit in' after the experiences she's grown up with as a baby to a young child... I mean come on Rachael.. You were raised here on Starships and starbases.. Hell you spent almost your whole life in space. Saki spent all of her childhood in a primitive village trapped in the middle of nowhere. Hardly what you had planned for her."

"So you think I should have given her up" Rachael glared at her older sibling who didn't even bat an eyelid at her.

"Wait... Why would you think that I think that." Elizabeth inquired, ensnaring Rachael in her own trap.

"Elizabeth.. You have never approved of how I raise my daughter... Don't play-" Rachael responded before Elizabeth simply raised her hand. "Rachael." Elizabeth addressed her sibling in a warning tone. "I do not suffer fools gladly... Try and keep focused now..."

"What is your issue anyway Elizabeth.." Rachael snapped back at Elizabeth, the smile on the larger womans face only widened.

"I personally don't have an issue here... You however do.. Because while Ennis and yourself are both career military, you are not exactly doing yourselves any major favors as you both are being rather foolish in regards to children."

Racheal growled at her sibling as she gave her a rather evil look. "I don't exactly see you having issues... you and Kam make it look so easy.."

"Thats because we communicate dear.. We discuss everything and I do mean everything. Besides.. Kam and I are both discussing how best to bring children into our lives and when they come, we will be ready for the little ones,, if and when the time comes." Elizabeth shrugged. "and again, with the distractions.. you are not very good at this... are you.... Having someone pry into your life."

"I shouldn't have to."

"But you are setting a rather poor example for my niece to follow.. Saki really is a bright girl. However she lacks attention and she needs it quite badly."

"What about Sarah and Daniel?. Are they being looked into too."

"I don't know... Should they be looked at?" Elizabeth regarded her sibling with a rather dark glare. "Should I predict disaster?"

"No..." Rachael sighed softly.

"Rachael... You have a rather disturbing tendency to work hideously long hours.. Thats part of your issue... You and Ennis have both put your careers first and I do not think he'll consider going into the reserves because you are both parents."

"Elizabeth... seriously... I want what others have."

"Well everyone has their own specific style... But you need to show Saki more time and attention... You 'should'-" Elizabeth took a moment to insert virtual quotation marks into what she was saying before pressing on with the rest of her statement. "-have weaned her off of the attention rather then force her to go cold turkey... So she acts out because she wants your attention..." Elizabeth narrowed her eyes. "I mean.. She's always had you there... and now.. you are 'not' there."

Rachael was silent as she listened to Elizabeth. "I mean... How could you not know this... You 'are' her mother after all." Elizabeth inquired as she spread her arms wide, her hands also faced up. "At least I hope so.."

"I have my reasons... Besides what does it matter... Starfleet child services was called by someone and now my daughter is going to go byebye." Rachael sighed darkly.

"Are you sure...?" Elizabeth inquired as she regarded her younger sibling. "You seem like you have given up... Do you always give up so easily?"

"Fuck you Elizabeth.." Rachael snarled angrily.

Rather then get angry as one would expect. Elizabeth Yamaguchi simply laughed at her younger sibling. "You are not my type... My husband would object and yours would protest." Elizabeth responded. "Besides incest is immoral."

"You have such a disgusting mind... Anyone 'ever' tell you this?"

"Oh... You'd be suprised... As many seem to think that us Yamaguchi's are insane, the women especially... But then... Rachael my dear... You are the one who brought it up." The larger Yamaguchi responded simply. "Besides.. You have done little to allay my fears about you... and my niece's future."

Rachael glowered darkly at her older sibling. "Elizabeth... I feel I keep repeating myself... Some asshole is going to see to it my daughter gets taken away and placed into care with someone else.."

Elizabeth regarded her sibling in silence before the large woman let out a sigh. "You've already given up. I don't even need to try to convince you one way or the other as you have already given up before you started...."

"You wouldn't understand..."

"Don't insult my intelligence Rachael. You of all people, know better then that.... Besides.. I did my homework on you... You've have a turbulent few months... haven't you."

"What the hell?"

"That business regarding Boot Camp... and Saki went from the golden little princess to the hellspawn of Satan himself... Oh she gave mom a real rough time with her drama, same with various others... " Elizabeth explained. "It seemed like nobody could control her but... then Saki didn't do a very good job of explaining what she wanted either.." Elizabeth shrugged. "Then there was the business of you being gone at flight school... She spent a little time with just about everyone it seemed, including Kameron and myself.."

Rachael regarded her sibling. "Saki is good at keeping secrets and lying to people... Including me."

"Yes... Ever wonder why?"

"I have actually.."

"Well let me explain this to you." Elizabeth regarded her sibling. "Saki has had your attention on tap all these years and then you decide to need to try and catch up to what you wanted and where you thought you'd be... Because you are eight years behind where you wanted to be in life.. Now Saki was a hinderance to your plans.."

"Thats rather cruel.."

"Its also the truth of the matter... You found yourself looking after a child with rather specific and special needs, she's a very smart child Rachael.. But her education is rather lacking and so are her social skills." Elizabeth responded. "Considering all you had to start with was a bunch of Kurokuri, Siaxx and Nurse Kishimoto... I'd hardly call that a stable enviroment to raise a child at all." the larger female explained. "Besides.. if Starfleet Child services does rule against you then we can make arrangements so that Saki goes to either mom. Gabe or myself." Elizabeth responded. "We're all stable in our careers and we know what we're after in life... Plus we all have the time to devote to it and so forth."
