Mission: Mission 71: Orion's Hounds
Location: Various Locations - USS Courageous
Timeline: 0945Hrs - March 20th, 2392

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi came to the briefing lounge, she knew full well what this was going to turn into and she had come prepared by leaving her own flight staff and senior level flight commanders at home, she would take notes and brief them later.

Commander Horatio Lorne regarded Torilla Yamaguchi with a soft smile. "Hey Capt'n... Hows things..?"

"Am I just being paranoid about this Flight Commander?"

"No... I had that feeling too..." Lorne sighed. "Maybe he'll surprise us... But.. I doubt it." the two entered the room to discover they were among the last to enter, the last person came in behind them, Lt Commander Jennifer Dale was clearly in no rush, she carried a large PADD in her hands as she selected a seat, followed by Lorne while Yamaguchi looked around the room before she herself sat down in the chair she had selected for herself, with a long sigh for she expected this to become a very long and dull briefing rather then a conversation. 'Maybe I', just getting old and brittle in my thought processes... But I doubt it.' Torilla thought to herself.

K'miras popped the top of his flask, which was filled with a vodka mix and commented. "Don't plan on us winning this exercise, we are going to lose anyway." He then took a swig from the flask.

"I had that thought myself." Yamaguchi responded softly.

Wukari could smell the Alcohol on K'Miras, and immediately she know this wasn't going to go well.

The Akurian Commander, an Axavaki female named Famoti Mixigriau with a Racconlike fur pattern commented. "Well this looks like it could be interesting.

K'miras shook his fluffy head. "nah, I got something interesting. He then reached into his bag and pulled out an old looking bottle of some kind of alcohol. "Now, this is the good stuff, whom wants one."

Famoti shrugged. "Eh, I guess I could try one."

Sergeyev couldn't resist the temptation. "Hay, hand me a glass of that too."

Yamaguchi smiled. "I'll have a glass with you." she responded as she leaned forward while she regarded the Caitian before her.

Wukari decided to be brave as well.

Torilla watched as several glasses worth of booze was poured, the Caitian then dished them out to their various recipients. She receved hers. "Alright.. So how long before dinglehopper gets here?" she turned her attention to the main entrance as she spoke. "He's already late."

K'Miras shrugged. "Who knows, who cares." He then took a swig of the drink along with everyone else. Unfortunately, due to the Drinks age, it was far far stronger than normal and damn near tasted like pure ethanol.

Wukari coughed and sputtered, dropping the glass on the ground while Famoti barely downed half of it before stopping and gagging.

Sergeyev pumped his left arm but managed to down the whole thing. He shook his head and slapped his cheek after finishing," Wow, that stuff kicks like a mule."

Yamaguchi waited before she downed half her drink in one swig. "Mmmm... good." she got out as she wheezed softly. "Wow... strong... What is that stuff?" she coughed softly as her eyes began to water. "Oh god... How do you drink that?"

Robby quietly walked in, nodded respectfully to those gathered, and then had a seat at the table.

Meanwhile, back at the center table, Torilla had tears streaming down her face as she grasped, fighting to breathe. "In Horists name.." she gasped. "I guess... one has to have... " she coughed softly. "Strong..." she paused a second time as she mentally evaluated what she had just said. "Really strong alcohol tolerance for this stuff.." she sighed before she polished off the rest of the contents of her glass in one go, her mind went blank for a moment as she suddenly found herself fighting to remain conscious and awake. "How... do people.." she blinked as she fought a second wave of vertigo. "Drink this and remain functioning...?"

K'Miras eyes went wide as even with his incredible alcohol tolerance, he got hit hard. He let of a loud belch and looked at the bottle. "OK, that wasn't so good." He then tossed the thing in a random direction, inadvertently hitting Anthony "muzhskoye dostoinstvo" Brunel in the back. The bottle then dropped to the floor with a loud crash.

Brunel's response was instant. "Hey!" he snarled. "Watch it shithead." before he threw a PADD at the person who had hit him with the bottle, the trouble was that he missed and the PADD shattered against the far bulkhead. "You wanna piece oh me!"

Another random drunken pilot commented, "Whats the matter, someone take away your manhood, girly man."

Brunel went over to the man and began punching the man with his fists. "I will fucking HURT you!" he snarled

Yamaguchi meanwhile gently shook her head, fried half out of her mind. "Oh I feel... like shit.." where upon she spotted the two men fighting, she tried reaching out with her psionic abilities but she used far too much force and threw both men away from each other to opposite sides of the room. Brunel landing on his back on the deck as the other man went crunch into a bulkhead wall.

Yamaguchi sighed before she flopped back down on the table, out cold from the booze.

Sergeyev didn't even bother to comment on the matter when Xiaxx entered on the opposite side of the room and asked for all the Fighter Corps CO's to approach him. He didn't bother asking for the starship captains. K'miras stumbled his way over while Sergeyev calmly walked Over. Fortunately Xiaxx was completely oblivious to the commotion that had gone down in the back.

Torilla was slumped over at the table. Horatio Lorne gingerly took a seat next to her, mostly to ensure that nothing would happen to her as Jennifer Dale likewise took a seat next to Lorne. "Think he'll ask for our input.?"

"Not a chance." Lorne responded with a smile.

Thel 'Vadam'ee strode over in silence but there was no mistaking his displeasure. "Will you ask the starship Captains to join us?" he rumbled as soon as he was in earshot of the Bolian male he didn't know nor wish to know. "Okay... We should use our interceptors and superiority fighters to blunt their attack, leaving our bombers free to focus on the base."

Robby nodded in affirmative. It was a great strategy, even though he missed flying his Valkyrie. "We could pull a hit-and-fade, Sir. Lead the opposition away and have the bombers come out of warp on the other side of the field."

Arbiter nodded, it was a sound plan and he said as much. "Its a sound plan.. keep their guys busy while we flatten that base."

Meanwhile Lorne regarded Torilla who was passed out from the booze. "Come on... Lets get her out of here before this fool demands things of us." he rose to his feet and together the two of them gently picked up Torilla Yamaguchi between them both. Yamaguchi was not a small woman and it would take them both to handle her.

Dale tapped her combadge. "Dale to Clarkstown. Medical Emergency.. Three to beam out." and with that, she along with Horatio Lorne and Captain Yamaguchi were beamed away.

Arbiter heard the transporter effect and he turned to see the three fleeters being beamed away, he simply shrugged and went back to the briefing.

One of Xiaxx's officer's, a vulcan with a very high inflated opinion of his own intelligence known as Strelk knew a secret. So he presented his idea, "However I know of a weakness of the Akurian fighter forces, the fact that they are drone controlled from their battlecruiser. If we take that ship out, or at least knock out its comm systems, we can disable their entire fighter wing, leaving our guys to dominate."

Another Bolian, known as Yaish Ragit, agreed with the Vulcan, "yeah that would give us a substantial advantage."

Xiaxx decided to agree with his subordinates, "Well, that sounds like a plan, disable the battlecruiser first."

Sergeyev gave a small smile, since he was the one whom leaked that particular information to the vulcan, knowing the man would gleefully swallow the bait whole.

Arbiter blinked. "You are aware of the capabilities of an Akurian battlecruiser?" he inquired.

Strelk gave him a look. "It's a big fat slow warship with very primitive looking projectile weapons on it, it can't be all that great."

Arbiter blinked his large eyes. "Well... we'll see now.. Won't we?"

Xiaxx then formulated a plan, "Alright, we take out the battlecruiser, disabling the Akurian fighters in the process. Fighter wings of Courageous, Roanoke and Argonne will be in the lead, equipped with maximum countermeasures and jamming pods to draw fire, while our strike craft will attack the ship, and my own fighters and the Akurian fighters will protect the strike craft. Then once they are out, we will hit the base."

Yuden Qethars, the Akurian fighter force commander, nodded in agreement, but not because she approved of the plan. The Ankuri commander was simply ordered by her own superiors to go along with whatever plan Xiaxx came up with. And she was also told not to reveal the existence of a surprise weapon, as a test to see how well the federation would adapt to a new surprise weapon system.

Arbiter reacted with surprise. "drawing fire... Where are you nine?!" he protested. "I'm not about to order my guys to act like meat shields for you."

Sergeyev addressed Arbiter. "Comrade, don't worry about it, its just a simulation. Besides I heard the new Countermeasures we have received are pretty good now."

Arbiter turned his head to regard Sergeyev, for a moment before she turned back. "Okay... Lets do this.."

Xiaxx looked at everyone with a stupid looking smile on his face," Alright looks like we have a plan, lets do it."

Arbiter opened his mouth to say something but he ultimately stopped right at the last second, he turned to Sergeyev but he nodded his head gently, he turned back to Xiaxx. "When are we having this exercise?"

"on the 22nd, 0900," Xiaxx answered.

"Alright... My guys will be ready to go." Arbiter responded bluntly.

"I'll make sure my guys drill hard in hit-and-face, Sir," Robby assured the Arbiter.

Arbiter regarded Sullivan. "Do not bother.." he responded. "Walk with me Flight Master." his voice rumbled like gravel falling off of a hover shuttle before he turned and departed the room. Robbie falling into step beside him. "Did you see and hear what took place in that room, just now.." he inquired with a soft chuckle. "In any event... The man has lost his job.."
