| Personal History | Thel was an incredibly brilliant commander, known for utilizing advanced tactics that made his forces unstoppable. Among his people, he was noted for being one of the youngest Sangheili to attain the ranks of both Shipmaster and Supreme Commander. During times of conflict, 'Vadamee was known for his tendency to lead campaigns from the front lines. His unorthodox tactics in comparison to the Sangheili at large quickly caught the eye of Starfleet Intelligence who decided that he was the most dangerous asset the Sangheili had due to his unpredictability and tactical flexibility. It was also because of this that the Federation decided to contact them during the Dominion war in the mid-seventies and their friendship has only flourished since then. Vadamee's influence within the Sangheili fleet had grown so great that Sesa 'Refumee suspected the Council may perceive him as a threat to their power even before learning of his appointment as Ambassador to the Federation. It was a posting he refused as he sought a military posting, he turned over leadership of Keep Vadum over to his brother and went off to see what the Federation had to offer in terms of warfare and martial skills. He decided to enhance his piloting skills by flying Starfighters for the Federation so off he went to join the academy, not as a flag officer but as one person seeking to improve himself through combat. Vadam'ee showcased an amazing talent for flying starfighters, showcasing his already formidable skills time and again, even rescuing two downed pilots in a mission that had gone bad. He was one of two dozen pilots to earn the coveted Grankite Medal of Tactics when he and his wing developed some new tactics, using lots of jamming pods to confuse enemy sensors. He served through the Dominion War, being shot down twice and clashing with the Jem'Hadar many times on foot. He survived the war, first shot to last and while he respected the Jem'Hadar, he showed no respect for the Cardassians. The rest of his assignments were simply more chances for him to showcase his skills which he did time and again, proving without question that this guy was something to be feared and respected. He was assigned to become the Commander of the Air Group on the USS Courageous by order of Admiral Nechayev as she saw him as a threat to her power base, thus she wanted him out of the way. After the destruction of the USS Courageous, he was assigned as the CAG of the USS Tigers Claw, he accepted without incident or comment, he has remained here, to this day. |
