The Blues of February

Mission: Mission 63: Second Nature
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1200Hrs - February 24th, 2392

The USS Incheon had delivered their dozen or so personnel to the Roanoke's battlegroup, four of them were crew replacements for people leaving and all of them were assigned to the USS Dreamcrusher.

Commander Daniel McKnight who was acting Captain of the USS Dreamcrusher, he was also better know as 'Karass' was presently meeting with these new replacements. "Alright. The two of you for sickbay, head out the door and follow Lieutenant Shepard. The Operations officer will come with me and the Security Officer will step outside and go with Lieutenant Selgae." he paused to breathe. "The last of you will follow Ensign Jameson to Engineering and he'll get you both sorted out." he explained to the six new arrivals

"Alright. You two cadets. You are here for one week so don't do anything stupid and don't say anything daft. I know you are here on leave to visit with your mom.. "

"Yessir." Pava responded evenly.

"Alright. You two know your way around so I'm going to cut you two some slack... Do not give me cause to regret my decision." he paused a moment. "Please kidnap your mother and get her off this ship, I don't care how you two do that... " He then smiled. "Dismissed cadets."

McKnight nodded to his charge as the two departed, Pava and Pasha moved off of the transporter padd, duffel bags over their shoulders as they shared a look. "You think mom's okay?"

"She's not..." Pasha responded lightly. "We'll probbaly find her in sickbay." They then stepped off of the pad.

As the two walked out of the transporter room, they almost ran down Colonel Brianna Hobbs who was heading towards them. "Colonel." and both of then snapped to attention.

Brianna casually acknowledged them. "Cadets." She then stopped in her tracks as she recognized them. "Pava and Pasha!" She gave them each a hug. "What are you two doing here?"

"Well we're here for spring break." Pava responded as she hugged the other woman back. Pasha smiled as he hugged the human woman who was now smaller then he himself was. "Its good to see you Brianna." he responded. "Hows mom doing... We've not heard much and... well we keep hearing mom's having issues. So we stuck in for leave time and managed to get ourselves out here." he explained.

Brianna didn't know how to respond. "Your mom is a little...down. Don't worry though, she will be very happy to see you."

"We hope so." Pava smiled at the the woman. "What of you Colonel?" she inquired as Pasha hefted both of their bags like they weighed nothing. "Will we find her at home... or at work.." he paused. "Knowing mom. it'll be at work.... which is fine by me!"

"Your mom's in her usual place, at work." Brianna told them. "After you get stowed away why don't you pay her a visit?"

Pasha grinned at the woman who was two inches shorter then he was. "Oh we plan on doing just that."

Pava gave the other woman a soft smile. "Its good to be home." she paused. "Do we drop our gear at her place... or yours?"

"Celeste's quarters are bigger than mine so I would go with hers. Besides, we spend more time at hers."

"Alright." Pava responded, a wide smile on her lips as she smiled at Hobbs. "I've missed being home."

Pasha smiled. "Andor was... interesting." he paused. "Our bond groups were more accepting then we had expected."

Pava smiled. "It was... educational." as she grinned at the human woman. "We'll go drop our bags off at home and then surprise mom.... with your permission?"

"Yes, get moving and visit your mother!" Brianna told them.

The cadets both turned away and fled down the hallway. They reached their destination a few minutes later as they dropped their bags at the door before they went in search of the human woman they called mom. "Computer... Locate Celeste Yamaguchi.?"

"Commander Yamaguchi is located in in her office."

Pava nodded. "Lets go." and with that the two went off down the hallway towards their new destination.

A few minutes later they reached their destination, they both went into sickbay as they glanced around, clearly looking for someone. "Can I assist you cadets?" Lt Commander Tanya Stevenson inquired with a smile.

"We're here to see Doctor Yamaguchi. She is not expecting us." Pasha responded. "We're her children you see and we are surprising her."

"Ahh." Stevenson smiled warmly at them. "She is in her office, which.. isn't here anymore.... " the Asian woman responded. "Its located on deck five, section two, just off the starboard side of the main bridge. Go on in and please... make her smile at least... None of us seem to be able to lift her spirits.."

Pasha smiled. "We'll do our best Doctor." he paused. "Can we... steal her from you for a week or so?"

"I would be in your debt if you could just make her smile.... Getting her to take a week off would be just heavenly." Stevenson responded with a grin. "Its not like we're shorthanded.."

Pava grinned back. "We will relieve you of the burden." the Shen responded.

"Well, the Commander is in her office... You guys know the way?"

"We do."

Stevenson smiled. "Then I will leave you to it." and with that she moved off as Pava and Pasha both turned and both the cadets departed the sickbay, before moving down the hallway. "Main Bridge."

The lift started moving but moments later the doors opened and both stepped out, before they crossed the bridge and they tapped on the doorchime.

Celeste was seated at her new desk. "Enter." she commented as she regarded the PADD in hand as she was busy tapping away at it. "Okay... Gorehowl will take me two weeks to make.... I need another warblade of Azzinoth.."

"We will assist you in making those." Pasha commented to Celeste who responded with "Okay sounds good." she paused "Wait what!?" she turned to regard her son before she did a quick double as the PADD slipped out of her hands and landed on the floor before her.

"We weren't gone that long mom and we heard you've fallen off of the wagon." Pava went into the office as she gave her mother a hug. Celeste wrapped her arms around her daughter before she gave her a hug. "You two... have no idea... how happy... I am to see you both."

"Oh we know." Pasha responded before Pava released her mother as he embraced her. "We're here for the next ten days.."

"Thats fantastic... Why didn't you tell me you were coming?."

"Because you are having a rough time and we didn't wish to add to your burdens." Pava responded with a smile. "Now we;'ll give you ten minutes to finish whatever it is that you are doing.... because you are taking some time off... and we are somehow going to put a smile back on your face.."

Celeste raised an eyebrow. "How do you plan to do that?"

Pasha was equally blunt. "Well we came here on vacation... So you can take some time off as well... and come planetside with us, we heard this world has some lovely beaches. Now never mind the forge and your projects, we will help with those too... Whatever you want... so long as we're doing it together... and out of uniform." Pasha gave her a rather evil glare.

Pava then took a seat in her mothers office, as she settled in to watch her. "I am timing you. Finish what you need to finish..."

"You two are not serious.." Yamaguchi responded.

"I am seldom otherwise mother." Pasha responded as he looked at her. "You know this to be true, why would you question my motives?"

"Well... I figured you would have developed a sense of humor by now."

"I have one, I just find that it gets in the way most of the time." Pasha responded as he sat down next to his twin.

Celeste sighed as she knew that he would carry her out of sickbay should it become necessary, she tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Shadowsong, mind stepping in here please?"

Shadowsong came into Celeste's office. "You screamed oh fearless leader?"

"Yes... I'm taking the next eleven days off.. on pain of being kidnapped."

Shadowsong's smile lost none of its luster. "Good... You 'need' to get out Celeste, this work... its not healthy for you or your baby."

Celeste looked mildly annoyed as she regarded Shadowsong. "I will be the judge of what happens to this baby and furthermore-"

"Furthermore it would be wise if you stop fucking with me on the matter of your unborn bay and the rest of the people who actually do care about you Celeste." Shadowsong responded, while still smiling. "I would advise you to stop talking and do some listening for a change or else."

Pava was not surprised with this situation in the least as she left out a soft sigh while Pasha regarded Celeste. "Want anything from the replicator?"

"I still have three minutes." she regarded Shadowsong, a dark glare in her eyes while Shadowsong glared right back at her. "Celeste... You are pregnant and you still push yourself twice as hard as the new guys here.."

Pasha came back in with four drinks , he handed two to Pava who in turn handed one to Celeste and Pasha handed the forth to Shadowsong. "Whats this.?"

"Water.." Pasha responded. "All four of us have a glass of ice water each." he then proceeded to drink his entire glass in one go.

Pava was finished with hers in two swigs while Celeste shrugged. "Fuck it." and then she polished hers off in one smooth motion while Shadowsong sipped hers. "Celeste. I'm going to be blunt with you. You need to stop pushing yourself and take it easy... Don't make me make this official.... Because I will... if I must..." and with that she drank her drink before she handed the glass back to Pava. "Thank you cadet." and with that she departed.

Celeste sighed before she picked up her PADD and went back to work before Pasha sat back, counting down the seconds before he rose to his feet. "Alright, time to go."

"I'm not finished." Celeste protested as Pasha took the PADD from her as he glanced over it. "Supply requisitions?" he huffed a sigh. "Lets go mother." as he gently grasped her smaller hand in his massive one.

He handed the PADD off to his twin who began tapping away. "What are you doing!" Celeste protested.

"Finishing your work. In a tenth of the time." Pava explained as she finished the work and handed the PADD back to Celeste. "Mom, you took the hardest road to victory... Come, we're going to the beach... and so are you." and with that the two Andorians walked out of sickbay with Celeste between them.

Brianna was waiting in the corridor. "Ah good, no need to shoot her with a phaser, set to stun then. She didn't come easy though did she?"

The three of them were surprised with the appearance of the Colonel.
Pasha recovered first. "Well we are gonna be here for ten days and two hours." he explained. "Mom could either come along peacefully or she could hear me nagging her on the subject for the next ten days."

Pava grinned. "It could be worse... right?"

"Yes, it could be. You have learned well from your mother." Brianna told them.

The two Andorians bowed to her before they both turned to Celeste. "Mom?"

"Yes." Yamaguchi responded. "Where are we going?"

"We are going planetside... I feel like showing off my figure and you need to get out too." Pava explained. "We will go home so you can collect items then we will depart... Colonel. You're welcome to come too."

"thank you Pava, I think I will join you." Brianna replied. "I think I might need a swimsuit this time."

Pava smiled. "Excellent... So... Lets go back home so we can go grab a few items.... and then we go lounging on a beach... Lets go."

Pasha smiled. "Come on mom, you'll have a great time."

Yamaguchi regarded Hobbs. "I think I just got kidnapped again."

"Not kidnapped, benign intervention." Brianna corrected Celeste.

Celeste went down the hall, Pasha before her and Brianna behind her.
"There is a difference?" she inquired.

"Of course there is!" Brianna shot back. "We are here to help you have a good time."

Yamaguchi paused. "Oh alright... Lead on.!"

"Children," Brianna addressed Pava and Pasha, please show your mother to her quarters.. She's going on vacation for a week."

Pava and Pasha both nodded. "Consider it handled. mom?"

Celeste nodded in agreement. "Sounds good to me."
