Mission: Mission 64: Mortal's Chiefest Enemy
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1515Hrs - February 23rd, 2392

Lieutenant Kameron Yamaguchi knew how his wife thought, she was at times such a predictable creature of habit but today he was worried about her, she had become quiet and she almost didn't want to be bothered by things or people, especially if she could avoid it.

Kameron regarded Elizabeth as she was sitting on the bed, clad in only her underwear, her shift had finished about a quarter of an hour ago and now she had zoned right out. "Beth?"

"Mmm.." Elizabeth turned as she focused on him, her eyes for a moment seemed to bug right out of her head.

"You're doing it again." Yamaguchi gently sat down next to his wife as he gently took her hands in his. "My first kill... I was doing it for a week.. Until Cyclops snapped me out if it... By telling me that I did what I had to do... It was him or me.. Its a shitty situation but had you not acted... He would have killed those wounded..." as he gently coiled an arm around her shoulders. "I know he left you no choice."

"It doesn't help..." Elizabeth Yamaguchi whispered softly as she looked at her husband. "I swore to do no harm..."

"I know.. and I know how seriously you took the medical vow.." Yamaguchi responded softly. "But you saved lives... By taking others.."

"He left me no choice.." Elizabeth responded. "I had to.."

"I know... Its alright... You did good.."

"I hate them.." Elizabeth whimpered softly. "I hate them... for what I have become... because of him.."

Kameron climbed in behind his wife, before he gently placed both of his hands on her shoulders. "Oh... noo no no no... the responsibility for this... my wife.. and mother to my children... is not yours... He sought to murder those who could not defend themselves... He didn't factor in you." Yamaguchi gently tried to sooth his wife's fractured heart with his words.

"I don't have to like it.." Elizabeth responded softly.

"I know.. and I know you won't... But you did good, you did what you were supposed to do, what you were trained to do... and other people will go home and name their children after you." Kameron smiled as he gently began to massage the muscles on her shoulders which were honestly like rock. "Bloody hell Elizabeth.. You are like rock."

Elizabeth slowly smiled. "Its been a long day in Dreamcrusher's sickbay."

"Fortunately I have other means to cure your ills.." Kameron grined at her before he kissed the side of her neck.

"Not all them Kam..." Elizabeth responded softly. "But.. thats not your fault.."

"It'll be alright.. not today and not tomorrow.. but soon.. This will be another lession in the road of life for us all.... I had honestly hoped you'd never know my pain..."

"Your first kill still bothers you?"

"Yes... I have four kills and I remember each of their names and faces... I may not like the fact that I killed them but that does not mean that I do not honor them.."

Elizabeth turned her head, her eyes sought out those of her husband's. "Now I... I understand.."

"Its something that I struggle with... As you know.." Kameron said softly before he breathed out and then in. "I do have some good news for a change.."

"Oh?" Elizabeth inquired as she turned to regard her husband, she waited for him to tell her the news. "Commander McKnight wants me to undergo science training so I can serve as this ships Chief science officer until someone else can be requested."

"Thats wonderful news.." the smiled before she stood up, she then slipped off her bra and panties before she recycled them. "I need a shower... and so do you." as she gave her husband a pointed look.

Yamaguchi smiled as he likewise stripped off and he followed his wife into the bathroom, he then closed the door behind him as he did so.
