Slipping into the Night - Part Two

Mission: Mission 61: The Blood-Dimmed Tide
Location: Various Locations - USS Dusk
Timeline: 1500Hrs - February 1st, 2392

Lt Commander Luhanna Wintersnow was presently seated in the command chair of the USS Dusk as she wore her uniform, with her eyes closed as the ship had gotten underway some time ago. "Skipper?"

Lt Commander Jordal Hunt regarded the Dranaei female before him as he handed her a large thermos, she opened her eyes as she regarded him. "Mmm.. Oh. Thank you."

"Its Lida juice. I figured you were thirsty." Hunt explained. "Lida.. Its close to Orange juice from Earth except this is sweeter." he added.

Wintersnow accepted the thermos before she tried a sip, she found it to be a little too sweet but that was fine, she would down a couple of mouthfulls then add another cup of water to water it down, nobody would care really. "Thank you." she said.

"Too sweet?"

"I wasn't going to be rude.."

"Do not be troubled," Hunt responded. "Its common to add too much Lida sauce to the drink and I don't know your tastes."

"Thank you though," Wintersnow responded as she downed another mouthful. "It's not too bad.. just a little too much." she smiled before she tapped her combadge. "Bridge to Engine room?"

the voice of the acting Chief Engineer came back. "Davis here. Yes, skipper?"

"How are the first load of mines coming along?"

"The first load is almost ready to be deployed, I'm presently working on refining the design for the second and third loads of mines.."

"Keep at it Chief." Wintersnow slowly smiled. "We'll be reaching our first destination in about two days time... I want to create plenty of mayhem.."

"Oh the mayhem is already built-in skipper," Davis responded with a soft chuckle. "We've begun building the second consignment of mines." Davis added.

"Right then Engineer. I'll let you be.. to contemplate your legacy of explosives." Wintersnow responded. "Bridge out." and with that she tapped her combadge once as she let out a sigh. "Well.. it seems my crew are insane." she rose to her hooves. "Jordal. You got the bridge.." she commented. "I'm going to tour the ship." and with that, she departed the bridge.

Jordal Hunt secured his station as he was relieved from an Ensign at the back of the bridge, he then went over to the command chair before sitting down as he closed his eyes, this allowed his mind to drift.

He smiled as he opened his eyes before he took in the scenery on the viewscreen which showed the starlines of high warp. It was to him something that never got old as he shifted his attention from the viewscreen back to the skipper of this ship, there was something about her that interested him.

Hunt sighed softly to himself as he returned his focus to the mission before them, getting to know Luhanna could happen within the confines of the mission parameters. Hunt told himself as the ship sped towards its destination.
