Lieutenant Kameron Yamaguchi was sitting in the lounge, the time was seventeen hundred hours and Elizabeth Yamaguchi was with him, the two of them were waiting for their third companion to join them. Commander Thomas Lasky whom both Elizabeth and Kameron had issues with but both for different reasons.

The door opened and in walked Commander Lasky, he looked around as Elizabeth waved at him, he stopped, turned and came over to the two younger Yamaguchi's. His relationship with Elizabeth was extremely complex but his relationship with Kameron had been almost completely destroyed by what Lasky had done to Torilla Yamaguchi several months earlier.

Elizabeth shifted her position ever so slightly as she blinked her eyes. "Have a seat Tom... Now all know why we are here.." there was something off in her tone which instantly set Lasky on edge.

"Yes... We do." Lasky responded in the same tone, as he sat down. "So... out with it."

"You tried to kill the woman I call mom. You can never be forgiven for your actions." Kameron growled the opening salvo at Lasky.

Lasky turned his head as Elizabeth had a one second warning before he snapped. "I don't WANT your forgiveness!" he snarled.

Kameron's temper fused white hot. "You disgust me.. How the fuck do you still wear that uniform and keep that rank is beyond me. Teval must have a soft spot for you... considering what you did..."

"I know what I did... I neither ask your forgiveness or your pardon for it.... But you are missing sight of something else"

"Oh this is going to be rich." Kameron sneered with a soft growl on his tongue. "Well... out with it already.... The universe grows old!"

"Zara was mind controlled." Lasky responded. "Torilla condoned it."

Elizabeth's anger was simmering quiet nicely but she opted to let her husband have his say first, she knew he wanted to get it off his chest and out of his system so she decided to let him. Otherwise it would poison his soul and she felt Kameron was better then that, that was why she arranged this meeting in a neutral site, rather then his quarters or her place. "Zara knew she needed to sort herself out and mom helped her time and again... hell Zara helped mom with her own problems.."

"You mind-fucked her for that."

Elizabeth's temper fused white hot before she clenched her fist before she hauled off and smacked him with the back of her hand. "How fucking dare you!" she whispered softly.

Lasky gingerly touched the side of his face with his hand as he sighed. "Yes, my point is made.." he responded. "You mindfucked her and you condoned having her mentally controlled."

Kameron smiled darkly. "Zara Tane is a worthless, excuse of a woman and you are not far behind her old man.." as he glared darkly at Lasky.

"I do not care what you think of what I did... I did what I did for my own reasons." Lasky snarled at Kameron.

"Oooh so this gives you the right to assault and abuse people at will." Kameron sneered coldly. "How amusing"

Elizabeth growled softly. "So... the honor of it pays the act of it.." she responded quietly. "Before you say it... either of you... I get it.. I know why you felt the need to break my mothers face... you were protecting Zara but Tom.... what you did ..... was unforgivable... "

Elizabeth rose to her feet. "I've said all I wanna say on the subject... " as she looked down at Lasky, with sadness in her dark brown eyes. "Goodbye Commander." before she slowly turned and walked away, as if grievously wounded.

Kameron rose likewise. "Seeya 'round Commander." was all he needed to say on the matter as he followed his wife away from the table, he could almost hear her thinking as he knew she would need a moment.

Elizabeth went out the door. Kameron followed her out as she stopped to wait for him. "I.... I don't know what to think.." Elizabeth admitted. "I violated Zara because I was protecting my mother.."

"Don't." Kameron said. "Do say it... Don't even think it..."

"What do you mean..?" Elizabeth inquired.

"What you did to Zara and what Lasky did to your mother were both for the same cause... Protecting the ones we loved." Kameron sighed softly. "You felt you were doing right.... and ... dammit... so did he..."

Elizabeth sighed softly. "How do I keep wearing the uniform after my own transgressions.?"

"I don't know... But you can make amends... and so can he.."

"Not like either of us will give him the chance..." Elizabeth sighed.

"Oh I dunno... I like to think there is hope.." Kameron responded as he gently took his wife's hand in his own. "There is always hope."

"Kameron Yamaguchi... Have you become an optimist?"

"I like to think I'm mellowing out.... Slowly.. but I'm making progress... I sent that letter to Dad... by the way... Both of them... Yours and mine.."

"I didn't think you and General Solusar would ever attempt to get along after what happened.... Not that I helped."

"You said what was on your mind at the time... and you also slammed the door in his face... he earned that... even my siblings agree... well all except Coral."

"Not that Coral will ever give me the time of day." Elizabeth sighed. "She was a fucking asshole and you know it."

"I am not disputing that." Kameron responded. "Everyone else on both sides would agree with you." he added. "Come on... Lets go home... and I can help you with your back issues."

Elizabeth regarded her husband with a smile. "Okay.." she responded before the two of them set off down the hallway.
