A Simple Meeting

Mission: Mission 54: Where Snow Meets Sky
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1030Hrs - December 10th 2391

Lt Commander Jordal Hunt was wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts along with a pair of sneakers, his usual gym attire as he entered the main weightlifting area.

He looked around as he spotted a human female, a Bajoran male and an exotic looking being he assumed was female from a species unknown to him or so he assumed at first but then what he assumed was a light fixture behind her was in fact one of her horns.

"You're a Dranaei." Jordal said softly before he went over to an unused bench as he proceeded up start his workout routine, which in todays case was chest, shoulders and traps. Lower bench press was where he would start, a smile graced his lips as he proceeded to round up eight forty five weight plates.

Lt Commander Luhanna Wintersnow regarded the massive stranger with a measure of interest and trepidation, she knew she was exotic looking but she suspected that the stranger knew more about her species then he let on. She tapped the 'stop button on the treadmill before she hopped off, her hooves making a soft clopping sound as they made contact with the deck material.

Jordal meanwhile proceeded up test the weight as he sighed, suddenly a shadow crossed over his line of sight, he shifted his attention as he found himself staring up at the Dranaei female he noticed earlier.

"Need a spot?" Wintersnow inquired. "I am Luhanna Wintersnow. Morale Officer and general annoyance." she then smiled. "Did I say that aloud?"

Jordal smiled. "If you're offering.. Sure." as she gently grasped the barbell before she helped him up pick it up, she then let it go but she kept her hands nearby in case he dropped it. She smiled as she counted off eight reps then she assisted him in putting the barbell back on the rack.

Jordal sat up. "Mmm... Yep..." he then made the note on his PADD before setting it back down. "Go again?" Wintersnow inquired.

"Yes.. three more sets."

"Okay." Wintersnow sounded almost eager. "You've encountered Dranaei before.." it was not a question.

"I have yes.." Jordal responded. "I have a son with a Dranaei.." he added. "Stratton is in school.."

Luhanna nodded, she had indeed heard of this child as some had assumed that this boy was hers when in fact he was no relation to her on any level whatsoever. "I've heard about him." and with that she helped him crank off another four sets of eight reps a piece. "Okay. need to up the weight by ten pounds." Jordal made a note on his PADD before he began dismantling the barbell and the weight plates on it.

Luhanna's workout was finished but she opted to stick around and spend some time with the massive beast of a man before her.
