Mission: Mission 50: This Grey Spirit
Location: Various Locations - Battlecruiser Ryazar's Shield
Timeline: 1900Hrs - November 18th, 2391

Division Admiral Talon Yamaguchi was wearing a simple black one piece bathing suit as she was floating in the pool area. "Gods this is friggin amazing!" she muttered aloud to herself as she dove under the water and disappeared from view.

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi who had come over not that long ago was wearing almost identical attire except hers was a dark green, slipped into the pool as she watched Talon emerge from the water. "So... Talon... I heard you moved your office down here..." as she looked over at her husband who had brought the dogs and the kids with him.

Grey Wind charged into the small pool head first, looking as happy as a clam with Nymeria following him moments later.

"Yep. I did." Talon responded with a smile. "Ahh Torilla. This is freedom, no uniform and I get to work out in the pool whenever I wish." before she stretched her arms upwards

"How often do you get laid?" Torilla inquired bluntly.

"Oh. Twice daily." Talon responded in a cheery tone.

Torilla blinked, this was a surprise to her. "I had... no idea."

"Davijaan Yeager and I are friends... we've been keeping it subtle for now. No need to telegraph our presence." Talon explained.

Torilla nodded despite herself. "Because of your messy divorce." she filled in the blanks.

"Yeah... Besides.. here I get to sit back and unwind... I get to not wear the uniform and I'm making good progress in getting to know our allies.. all in all, its good for me to be here rather then on your ship."

"I can understand... still I'm glad you're happy here." as she looked at Ryuukei who had appeared a few yards away.

"I didn't think I was gonna like this assignment... to be honest... Now I find I'm spoiled rotten.." Talon responded. "My next ship MUST have a swimming pool I can turn into an office like this one.."

Ryuukei swam around with Weyai, then commented. "Well I imagine installing a swimming pool that resembles a natural spring in one of your ships would be a bit of a challenge."

"Considering how therapeutic they are." Talon responded with a smile.
"Anyway... would you guys objected if I requested the small spring nearest to my quarters for my own personal uses?"

Talon smiled as she saw exactly where this was going.

"You can set it up so that it is reserved for certain times of the day or night," Ryuukei replied," But with the amount of people on the ship, I cant keep any of the baths private all day."

Talon paused. "That's fine too. Mostly in the late evenings." she responded as she floated. "Somewhere where I can relax... Besides, I get more done when I'm swimming or floating in here then I do in uniform, sad really."

Ryuukei didn't have any comment on the matter, instead he just played with Weyai.

Torilla smiled. "I can see why you like it aboard this ship." she regarded her sibling in law who nodded in response. "The kids love it, the natives are friendly and... adorable." she paused. "I get to sit around and do almost nothing while petting the Kurokuri." Talon regarded Torilla. "Didn't you serve with a few?"

"I did... Teval and Hakaya. Rachael was stranded planetside for eight years with them... Saki tends to wear little in the way of clothing as a result. that girl wears shorts and tank tops in minus ten Celsius."

Talon smiled. "I can see Marie turning out much the same..."

"So... How are things between you.. and Captain Yeager?"

Talon raised an eyebrow in an inquiring look as she regarded the larger woman. "How do you... know about that?"

"Talon, You may be many things but... you'll never be subtle. You tend to telegraph things. Interest in men in one of them." Torilla smiled gently.

Hyril Akarin, along with Hako Tazar and Irukiya Okava entered the bathhouse, Hyril made the comment to Ryuukei," Hey Ryuukei, having fun."

Ryuukei nodded, while Weyai had her arms wrapped around him, " So how is your day going."

Hyril sighed, " Its going, we are taking another crack at trying to work on that transporter, but we are having to completely redesign the power converter needed to convert our electrical systems to run federation equipment."

Hako sat at the edge of the pool, letting his feet drop into the water," Its a complex process."

Talon smiled. "I hope my guys are making themselves useful." she responded. "Mev says they are making progress with the replicators... but they can only make simple things like soups and thats about it whenever the system doesn't break down." she sighed. "Typical... plasma for everything."

Hako looked at Talon curiously. "You know, that has me completely baffled, why does the federation use plasma as a power transfer system for virtually everything, that just sounds so incredibly dangerous."

Talon simply shrugged. "Who knows.... You are preaching to the converted." as she smiled. "Ahh... I mean I've gotten more exercise in the last four days then I have in the last four months... aahhh." Talon screamed as she suddenly was pulled underwater.

Torilla smiled as she popped up. "Ahh.." she looked around. "No more Talon-" before she too was pulled under, presumably by Talon.

None of the Akurians said a word, just looking at the spot curiously.

Talon appeared a moment later. "Ahh.. much better.." she paused. "Torilla pulled me under... She likes to misbehave a lot" she smiled as Torilla appeared a moment later.

"Yeah, we noticed," Weyai responded as both her and Ryuukei pulled themselves out of the water.

Suddenly there was a blur as an rather large object shot around the corner and dove into the pool, before the massive squid slowly rose out of the water as Torilla screamed. "What the hell."

Jake turned as he too jumped. "Woah!"

Talon turned her head as she sighed. "Mev, you really should be more
subtle.." she regarded the large squid.

"Its lovely in here..." Mev commented as he waved his tentacles.

All the Akurians had cleared the pool at that point, Ryuukei was the first to let off a sigh, "Why did he have to do that." He and Weyai then began to dry themselves off.

Torilla glowered at the squid. "You just scared me half to death... What did you do that for?!"

"I thought-"

"Yes.. you thought.." Torilla added angrily. "Did you ever consider that someone in here has a medical issue, startle them and they drop dead of a heart attack!... But no... you HAD to rush in here and scare everyone out of their fucking lives.."

The Squid rotated so it regarded her with its one eye that was closer to her. "I'm-"

"Silence!" Torilla responded loudly. "I do not give you leave to speak!"

Talon floated in silence as she regarded her sister in law who angrily dressed down Mev's foolishness before she finally wound down. "You didn't care to consider that I might have-"

"Torilla." Talon said gently. "You've made your point. No need to keep harping on about it."

"Yes.."

The squid rose out of the pool before slowly shaking loose all of the water. Torilla raised her hands to ward off the incoming storm of droplets. "Humans... Have you finished with your say.... Now I will have mine." as he growled loudly, a sound that came across as nails on a chalkboard and broken glass, along with dry ice being shattered all at once.

Torilla quivered as the noise went through her, she clapped her hands over her ears in fright. Talon did likewise as the dogs began howling, Jake growled. "Goodammmit!" as he likewise clapped his hands over his ears to block out the sound.

A moment later, all was silent again as the megasquid floated up and then departed quickly.

Jake knelt down to reassure the deeply upset twins that all was well before he looked at his wife and thought. 'I'm gonna take these guys home. I'll keep the with me... you okay?'

Torilla looked at her husband before she nodded in silence.

Ryuukei massaged his ears which were in pain. "Ow, that did not feel good, why did that have to happen."

Weyai looked at Greywind, whom looked equally unhappy. "Yeah buddy I feel your pain."

Jake cleared his ears. "Oh... god.... why?" he whimpered. "Okay... come on guys... time to go." he said as he quickly gathered the twins and the two dogs before the five of them departed.

Torilla stood there, fuming as she had yet to dispel the rage that even now flowed through her system like icewater as Talon regarded her. "Torilla... What in gods name was that for!"

"Do not fuck with me Talon." before she turned and stalked off, out the door into the female changing area.

Talon stood motionless as a sigh escaped her lips.

While he and Weyai began to dry themselves off, Ryuukei added," So whats with her."

Talon breathed out and then in slowly. "I haven't a clue." she responded. "But... thats not normal for Torilla.." she paused as she pondered it. "I'll talk to her about it.... after things calm down.."
