Mission: Mission 49: The Stars Look Down
Location: Various Locations - USS Argonne
Timeline: 1045hrs - November 6th, 2391

Command Sergeant Major Jeffery Duval was annoyed, no he was more appointed then anything else as he walked towards his destination on the USS Argonne.

He reached his destination moments later before he tapped on the door where he knew that Daisy McKnight was working, before settling in to wait, PADD in hand.

He smiled at the aide who was working at her desk. "You okay sir?"

Duval winced. "I'm not an officer." he said with a soft smile. "and I am here on business.." as he closed his eyes, he cleared his mind while he waited.

Daisy came into the office. "Hello Sergeant Major." daisy addressed Duval. "What did our marines do now?"

"Mmm.." he responded. "Nothing actually." he responded. "I dropped into say Hi to my hot Klingon..." he smiled. "Also I wanted to ask about expanding my business.... and have a franchise aboard the Green Dragon... so your guys can have a place to chill and break things.." he explained. "But first... I wanted to catch up with my friend... not seen you in way too long."

"I've been adding new marines to my unit." Daisy told him. "And I'm stomping out fires caused by some of our marines."

"Yes I've noticed.." Duval responded. "Hopefully, things calm down for you guys." he responded. "I noticed you took a few of your guys from Roanoke over here too."

"The Roanoke only has a reinforced platoon. We have to fill out two battalions and a support companies." Daisy smiled. "They are more useful over here."

"Fair enough." Duval responded. "Those polywater incidents have got to stop happening...y'know what I mean?" he inquired. "With me... it was... Luhanna Wintersnow and she is... unbelievable."

"Yeah, I always heard crazy girl sex was always the best." Daisy replied. "The problem is you have to deal with a crazy girl when your not having sex."

"T'Nae finds this situation downright hilarious." Duval answered. "I am fortunate in that regard that my wife is an understanding woman... We both know people who are not." he sighed. "I'm glad I dropped by... Its not often I see my friends these days.." he smiled down at her. "In any case... I'm looking at expanding my business... I'm going to go and see the Colonel and the skipper... get their perspectives... on opening a franchise here.. so your guys have a real pub to let off stead... of course it'll need tweaking to accommodate a ship of marines.." he paused as he handed her his PADD. On it was his plans and ideas.

"Hmm, a bar here." Daisy talked out loud. "Tired of shuttling marines from the Roanoke's brig to the Argonne's brig?"

"You could say that." Duval responded with a soft chuckle. "I figured it the Marines want a space they can trash, I should be on their own ship... so I'll set up a large bar here... of course I'll need lots of tables, chairs, glasses and probably a lot of other breakables.." he regarded her. "Besides... you and I both know how marines are."

"Sadly, yes I do. We have two battalions of infantry and a company of engineers on board." Daisy stated. "They will need some place to let of some steam."

"Fair enough.... Who do I see to go and arrange things?" Duval inquired.

"I would run it by both the Captain and Colonel Hobbs." Daisy told Duval. "I'm sure they would agree."

"I'll do that." Duval responded. "Anything else we should discus?" he inquired.

"When you try to sell the idea make sure you are offering more than a bar." Daisy informed Duval. "Also remind Hobbs that it is a place to eat with some other activities."

"A good idea... Thank you Daisy." Duval responded as he nodded to her, a smile on his face. "Well... I'd best be off... I got a couple of other people to see..."

Hobbs was working at her desk when she heard the door chime. "Com in please." She responded.

The door opened and in walked Duval. "Mornin' Colonel. You got a few minutes?" he inquired. "No... I am not here to press for damages but... I am here to help the Marines by giving them an outlet."

"Oh, do go on." Hobbs replied.

"Well.. This is my idea." as he handed her the PADD in his hand. "Since I'm always kicking your marines out... I figured I could try something else." he briefly explained. "I was thinking of creating a lounge for your marines so they have somewhere to let off steam and get into fights and break things.."

"Well, marines shouldn't break things." Hobbs replied. "But that would be like asking Ferengi not to seek profit. This lounge, will it serve food?"

"Of course.. It'll also serve as a bar but it'll be a restaurant too. Afterall... The Marines should have their own space rather then earn themselves a bad name.... which... lets face it. Thanks to Nye, we got a lot of cleanup to do... I want to hire twelve doormen, two chef's and six cooks along with a bartender to help me run the place... You can use being a doorman or being a dishwasher as a punishment detail should you wish."

"Do you have a basic layout plan?" Hobbs asked.

"I do." he responded. "Two entrances and one escape route through the floor." he explained. "I was thinking of something similer to what we have on Roanoke, an irish pub setting."

"Can you include a dance floor or large area were we could hold a banquet?" Hobbs asked.

"I can put that in the space aft of the main food eating area." Duval responded. "Here." he marked it on his plans. "I still need to see the skipper... and get his approval."

"I'm sure you should be able to get it." Hobbs told Duval. "Sorvok might not totally understand why but I'm sure he'll give you the go ahead."

"I'll go talk to him." he responded. "Give my regards to your girlfriend.."

"Celeste is always happy to hear from friends." Hobbs replied.

"Fair enough.. I'd best get going.." he paused. "Computer. Locate Commander Erasmus Sorvok?"

"Commander Sorvok is on the bridge." The computer replied.

Duval nodded. "Thanks for your time Colonel.."

Hobbs nodded. "It was my pleasure."

As Duval entered the bridge he spotted Sorvok in his command chair talking to Anjou. "Sergeant major, what can I help you with?"

"Mornin' Captain.... I'd like to open a bar - lounge - restaurant on your ship." he produced his PADD. "Since the Marines have lack of a space to unwind. I'm thinking... I could give them one."

As Sorvok was looking over the PaDD Anjou spoke up. "I hope you will have a decent stock of wine. You can bring some culture to this hinterland of civilization."

Duval chuckled softly. "Oh... I will... my empire is slowly expanding.." he explained.

Sorvok handed Duval back the PaDD. "Everything looks in order. I have three queries. One, is the bar open to all Star Fleet personnel and their kin? Two, have you proposed this idea to Lieutenant Colonel Hobbs? Third, will alcohol be served during entire hours of operation or will they be restricted?"

Duval raised an eyebrow. "Yes. It'll be open to everyone." he responded. "and yes. I talked to the Colonel and she had a couple of requests of me, namely a dance floor and alcohol will be available but its limited..." he explained. "mostly its going to be synthale."

"Excellent." Sorvok noted. "You have my approval, Sergeant Major."

"Please make sure there is real alcohol. Real alcohol that is quality." Anjou added. "You have the potential to raise the status of this vessel, Sergeant Major."

"Considering I sell only the good stuff.." Duval answered in a dry tone. "and the Green Dragon is expanding across the ships in the battlegroup...."

"Excellent Sergeant Major." Anjou replied. "I am sure you will do very well here."

"Thank you... Doctor." Duval answered evenly. "I'll need to make sure most of the stuff I bring is not of the breakable kind." he rumbled before turning to Sorvok. "So.... any questions sir?"

"No Sergeant Major." The Vulcan replied. "It appears you have everything in order."

"Excellent... I'll send in a repair crew and start construction of what's been approved." Duval responded before he took his leave. "I'm going to perform an inspection before I start. by your leave sir?"

"Good day Sergeant Major." Sorvok replied.
