Mission: Mission 45: Dust and Echoes
Location: Planet Surface - New Holland
Timeline: 1000Hrs - October 21st, 2391

Captain Torilla Yamaguchi looked around as she hefted a pack off of her back. "I hope Luhanna can handle the kids, noble team, and the dogs... Jake can't remain around forever."

Saki nodded as she dropped her bag in the center of the area while her grandmother drew her tricorder. "Let's see.." she paused as she did a quick scan of the area. "No bugs... no insects of the like."

Saki smiled. "Yay!" she cheered.

Sarah too smiled brightly. "I don't like bugs either."

Weyai investigated the nearby stream, when Arumi caught her by surprise and pounced on her, knocking both of them into the water with a loud splash. Moments later both of them resurfaced and Ryuukei looked down at his siblings," So how is the water."

"Cold." Weyai answered as she waded to the embankment. Ryuukei knelled down to give her a hand, but the moment Weyai grabbed on, she tugged Ryuukei into the water as well.

A moment later he resurfaced as well, remarking. "Should have seen that one coming."

Several of the groups children including Jiao Anderson's two teenagers came over to see what the commotion was about. Kimora was wearing a bikini while Sian was wearing a dark blue one piece suit. "Mmmmm."

"How is it?" Kimora asked her sister

"Cold.."

"Alright.. in you go." and with that Kimora pushed her sister into the pool, who let out a loud scream as she disappeared below the water.

"Much better." Kimora smiled as Sian gave her an angry glare. "Why you!" before she splashed her sister who screamed in surprise from the cold.

Takov and Nuyari where the next to jump in, both taking large leaps into the air before landing in the water with a splash. Hakaya, whom was following, didn't jump in the water, instead she went to a log that had fallen across the river and simply sat there, her feet dangling in the water. Teval took a seat beside her, while Savo, Kiyuo and Yavi all found their way into the water.

Torilla looked at Saki. "Okay girls, go change. I'll wait for you." as she slipped off her uniform to reveal a dark red one piece, she smiled as she felt the smooth kiss of the cool air on her skin and her suit as she felt the excess heat quickly bleed away.

Saki came back a moment later wearing a black one piece that wasn't baggy on her at all. "Very nice... your mom pick that put for you.?"

"Nope... Sarah and I picked out matching suits for us both."

"So are we ready?" Sarah as she as adjusted her swimsuit cover and checked to see if her books were in her bag.

"Alright.. Shall we?" Torilla commented.

"Yes please," Sarah suggested politely.

Torilla turned before leading her two charges down towards the recently discovered pool area. "Interesting.." she paused. "Its a shame Rachael couldn't be here for this." she sighed. "She should be home in about two weeks." as she smiled at her twin charges.

Torilla's foot got caught on a roof and she went down, flat on her face. "Ooooh." she landed in a heap.

"Grandma Torilla!." Saki reacted with alarm as she knelt by her grandmother's side, to check her over. Sarah chased her as she too was concerned about her grandmother.

Torilla lifted a hand. "I'm okay... just my pride." she smiled as she slowly sat up. "That will teach me for not paying attention to where I was going.."

"You need an icepack?" Sarah asked Torilla with concern.

Torilla smiled even though the front of her from her chest to her knees was splattered in mud. "I'm okay sweetie. Its just my pride that got bruised." as she gently hauled herself back to her feet.

Saki regarded her dubiously. "You sure?"

Torilla merely smiled. "I'll be fine.." as she looked down. "I'm not bleeding from anywhere.." she paused before she turned to lead her charges down to the watering hole.

They quickly arrived at their destination. "Okay, girls go on in... but make sure you stay in sight of someone okay?"

"Sure Grandma"

Torilla regarded her as she raised an eyebrow. "Okay.. go play you two." and with that Torilla walked into the stream bed before she walked into the water, before she dove into the water, allowing the water to wash the gunk off of the front of her suit and her body.

Sian meanwhile was floating in the shallows with Kimora nearby as she dunked under the water and disappeared from view. Saki meanwhile dove right in head first, no regard for whatever was under the water.

Nuyari was only narrowly missed by Saki's dive, prompting her to look curiously at the spot where Saki disappeared.

Saki popped up a few moments later, with a loud gasp of air. "Ahh this is great!" she called loudly to all within range. "Last time I did this... I was nude..." as she looked down at the black suit she was wearing. "But this is okay too."

Nuyari looked at her curiously, "What is the point of swimsuits."

"It keeps non-furries warm, I guess," Sarah answered shyly.

Saki turned her head and with scarcely a ripple in the water, she inhaled and then slipped beneath the waves a second time.

Torilla meanwhile was floating in the shallows, the sun warming her face and body as she lay there, she smiled as she sensed her granddaughter nearby swimming. 'Saki?' she thought

'Yes?. I'm being good..' came the response.

Torilla slowly smiled, yes Saki had learned well. Rachael was going to be so pleased with her daughter.

"What she doing?" Sarah asked Torilla.

Torilla regarded Sarah as she lifted her head. "She's below you." as Saki popped up and proceeded to quickly cup her hands together and splash Sarah with water. The older woman lifted her head out of the water, while she watched the grandkids interact in silence. "So... How many of you Kurokuri kits are there around here?" she inquired of Nuyari

Nuyari started heading over to Hakaya, briefly pausing to answer Torilla. "Same number that its always been, five of us."

Torilla smiled. "You all get along with each other?" she inquired as she cast one glance at the two grandkids, splashing each other with water.

Nuyari looked at Torilla apprehensively. "Of course, we are siblings."

Torilla smiled. "Good.." she paused. "Its a nice day for a swim..." she admitted. "Weren't you guys and Saki raised together?"

Saki meanwhile stopped splashing Sarah as she turned. "Grandma?"

"Yes?" Torilla inquired.

"Yes we were raised together.." she responded as she smiled. "Hows things with you guys.?" she said to Nuyari

Meanwhile Torilla turned her attention to Sarah. "I wasn't sure what you wanted for dinner tonight sweetie... so I brought I little of everything.." she commented as she continued to float.

Nuyari was about to answer, but out of the corner of her eye, she caught Takov with a Dodgeball. She narrowly evaded the ball, which hit Saki instead.

Saki shrieked in surprise as she hefted the ball before throwing it at someone else nearby, before she moved in towards one of the smaller Kurokuri.

Torilla watched in amusement, a smile on her face. "Sarah... I'm going to teach you how to float." as she gently led the ten year old away from where Saki was playing with the Kurokuri.

"I know how to swim," Sarah smiled brightly as she followed Torilla. "My dad likes to surf."
