An Overdue Promotion

Mission: Mission 45: Dust and Echoes
Location: Various Locations - USS Spirit of Winter
Timeline: 1130Hrs - October 20th, 2391

Captain Bernard Montgomery was seated behind his desk, reading reports and checking items off on his rather lengthy to do list, the Spirit of Winter was knee deep in her refit for the new weapons and shields, along with a few other things and he was overseeing it as a proper Captain should.

He found himself looking at the crew roster before he tapped the display before him. "Computer. Is Lieutenant Autumn Yamaguchi still aboard ship?"

"Affirmative" came the response from the ships computer system, a smile appeared on his lips as he tapped his combadge. "Montgommery to Yamaguchi. Lieutenant would you mind coming by my ready room please?"

Meanwhile in sickbay. Autumn Yamaguchi placed the final crate of medical supplies away in one of the closets as the page from the ships Captain came in. She raised an eyebrow as she tapped her combadge. "Understood. I'm on my way sir." Yamaguchi responded.

With that she placed her medkit on the small table next to her, which at present was designated as her work station before she departed sickbay.

Several minutes later she reached her destination, Autumn Yamaguchi tapped the door chime at her destination. "Enter!" came the response.

The door opened and in walked Autumn Yamaguchi, she came in and went to the center of the room before she came to attention. Montgomery regarded the smaller woman before him. "Lieutenant. I hereby promote you to the rank of Lieutenant Commander with all the rights and privileges thereto." before he handed her a small black box with his left hand then he shook her hand with the right hand.

"Thank you sir." Yamaguchi responded with a smile

"Congratulations... You're dismissed Commander." Montgomery responded. Yamaguchi turned and departed.
