Rearranging the living situation

Mission: Mission 38: Last One Out, Get the Lights
Location: Various Locations - USS Dreamcrusher
Timeline: 1100Hrs - July 27th 2391

Brianna walked into Celeste's quarters. She had been living there with the Andorian twins for the past few weeks. It had been an adjustment for Brianna. She wasn't used to living with anyone. It had, for the most part, been a positive experience. Now, things were going to change. Brianna looked around the quarters. "Anyone home?" she asked.

The bathroom door opened and Pava Sh'Yamaguchi emerged, she was wearing a pair of black jeans and a sweatshirt. "Oh Hey Bri." she greeted her mom's girlfriend. "Whats up?"

"Hey there Pava." Bri warmly greeted the girl. "I need to have a talk with your Mom."

The bedroom door opened as Celeste walked out. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt that read 'I love my attitude problem.' "Whats up?"

Pava chuckled. "Normal;y I'd say 'go on in' but apparently you decided not to take a nap afterall."

"I couldn't sleep."

Pava simply smiled. "I can't comment on that... anything I say will get me in trouble so... I'm going to keep my mouth shut and say nothing."

"Less stress Pava. you'll live longer." Celeste turned to Bri. "Wanna go into the bedroom?"

Pava paused. "I'm late anyway... I'll leave you guys to it." and with that, the Andorian Shen departed.

"We can talk about it in the living room." Hobbs replied. "It will be public knowledge soon enough." Hobbs then sat on the sofa and activated her PaDD.

After Hobbs had pulled up the data she wanted to show Celeste she hesitated. "Well," Bri paused "I'm getting transferred to another ship."

Celeste's smile lost most of its cheer. "I figured that this was coming sooner or later... where you being sent?"

"Well, that might be the good part." Bri told Celeste. "I'm going to be the battalion commander on the USS Argonne. That ship will be part of the new task force around the Roanoke."

Celeste blinked her eyes slowly. "So... its an officers rank for you... I thought you hated having a commission..."

"This would be a great opportunity to command," Hobbs told Yamaguchi. "It could qualify me for higher command duties."

"Don't let me stop you," Celeste responded as she gently took Brianna's hand in her own. "Don't apologize for succeeding in your career..."

"Well, we just started something good here and now I'm going to be leaving soon," Brianna admitted to Celeste. "I feel kinda down right now even though this is good for my career."

Celeste smiled. "Don't worry about it... Argonne is not far... and I will still be here... I will always be here.." she paused. "Our relationship will endure this..."

Hobbs was silent and nodded in agreement. She stood up and went to the replicator. "Do you want a drink?" She asked Celeste.

"I'll have whatever you're having." Celeste slowly at the other woman as the door opened and in walked a taller than average woman wearing medical teal with the rank of Ensign. "Hey Aunt... Oh, I'm sorry... I didn't know you were busy."

"No no.. its fine... besides its past time you two met..." Celeste responded. "Brianna Hobbs, this is my cousin's daughter, Ensign Elizabeth Yamaguchi.." she turned to Elizabeth. "Beth. meet Brianna Hobbs, my girlfriend."

Elizabeth cheered up instantly. "Its good to meet you at last Brianna." she gently shook hands with the other woman. "You're the one keeping my aunt on the straight and narrow.."

"You mean this is her docile side?" Brianna asked.

"Yep." Elizabeth answered as Celeste glared darkly at her. "Beth... must you?"

"Yes. I must." she smiled.

"I guess I'm not surprised," Bri told Elizabeth. "Celeste is the type of woman who knows what she wants and will fight to get what she wants."

"One shouldn't be." Elizabeth smiled. "Nobody screws with a Yamaguchi..... ever.." she regarded Celeste. "You chose well."

"I take it your family is very close Celeste?" Bri asked.

Celeste nodded. "We are yes... mom and Dad aren't as liberal as my kin assigned among the battlegroup here." she smiled. "Its great having so many around. Beth here, her siblings, her parents and all of their cats."

Elizabeth smiled. "Oh yes..." she paused. "not to mention my little one.... its story is already complicated and it's not even born yet." clearly she didn't know the gender.

Brianna didn't know how to reply. All of her known family was dead. She thought of something to say. "I guess the holidays are interesting?"

Celeste and Elizabeth shared a look. "You have no idea.." Elizabeth grinned at the other woman. "big family get-togethers.."

Celeste nodded her head. "So... when does your assignment and commission take effect?"

"My assignment actually doesn't go into effect until the Argonne joins the task force. Then I'm to be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. Until then, I'm stuck with you on the Dreamcrusher." Hobbs smiled at Celeste.

Celeste raised an eyebrow as Elizabeth laughed. "I'd gotta go down to sickbay and check on Jaris and Torilla... you know kids are."

"I do," Celeste responded. "So.. what's going to happen with them?"

"They'll be living with their Dad of course... don't worry. we're not taking them in." Elizabeth responded before adding. "It was nice to meet you Brianna," Elizabeth added before she took her leave, leaving Celeste alone with Brianna. "So... how long are you... stuck with me?" Celeste inquired.
