Mission:
Mission 37: The Troubles and Tribbles
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - July 22nd, 2391
Flight Officer Kameron Yamaguchi walked beside his wife as she was heading to the holodeck because she wanted to go to the beach, so she was wearing shorts and a shirt while he was wearing a pair of jean shorts and a t-shirt.
Kameron gently held his wife's hand as two other people came around the corner, the first one he didn't mind but it was the woman on the right that caused his blood pressure to spike.
Elizabeth walked slowly down the hallway, cane in her left hand as it was her left knee that had been almost destroyed by Tienn Iteela during the incident in question. The good news was that her baby was fine but she could take little solace in that fact.
"Ensign," Gyce greeted with a small smile, though her posture was that of a protective shield as she spotted Kam's look upon Iteela.
She spotted Tienn Iteela who skidded to a halt. "Umm... I.."
Kameron simply regarded her, a placid look on his face. "I heard you got acquitted."
"For the most part... I guess.."
Kameron glanced from Tienn to Gyce and then to Elizabeth and then back to Tienn as he considered his words. "Your drink was spiked...or so the scuttlebutt says..."
"It was... but that doesn't mean anything." Tienn responded quietly.
Kameron paused as he regarded her, clearly wanting to know what she meant by that, she didn't keep ether side waiting long.
"What do you mean by that?" Elizabeth asked softly, her dulcet tones making a marked contrast to her husbands flat, bass voice.
"I still remember everything... What I did to you ... was unforgivable."
"Forgivable." Elizabeth responded. "You were not of your own mind."
"It's what I keep telling her but Iteela wont believe me," Gyce half-smiled as she squeezed Iteela's hand supportively.
Tienn blinked as she fought off tears. "Of all the things I ever expected you to say to me... that wasn't it." she paused. "I could have killed-" was as far as she got before Elizabeth interrupted her. "Tienn... I learned a great deal too... While you were in the brig writing your tome of what happened... I too was writing my own tome... while granted mine isn't as ornate as your book.. I had to settle for a PADD.."
Gyce kept one leery eye on Kam still as she regarded Elizabeth. "Oh?"
Elizabeth raised an eyebrow. "I'm six one and I tend to be somewhat intimidating... especially when I get angry." she paused. "But... Tienn.... there is what I know and there is what I feel..."
Kameron regarded his wife. "Beth..." he said quietly.
Elizabeth regarded the smaller Bajoran woman before her. "You... destroyed my knee and almost killed my baby.. I don't know what to think where you're concerned... I look at this cane and it reminds me of you."
Tienn stood and didn't move.
Kameron likewise didn't move, nor did he say anything as Elizabeth continued. "I'd like to hate you... but I can't do that because that's not who I am... so... while I forgive you... I can't forget about it."
"Very noble of you," Gyce remarked respectfully.
Kameron regarded Tienn. "I decided to leave the matter for Elizabeth to sort out... Hating you would be insane... but there is how I feel on the matter..." he paused as he considered his words. "I don't know you Ensign... so I don't how you think or feel.."
"I 'm s-"
"Let me finish... Because Elziabeth here asked me to let it go... and I keep my word... but I'll be keeping an eye on you Ensign."
"And I, on you," Gyce spoke protectively as she stood in front of her girlfriend.
Kameron raised an eyebrow as Tienn gently placed his hand on Gyce's shoulder. "It'll be okay.."
Elizabeth looked at her husband before she turned back to Tienn. "We still need to be able to work together..." she paused. "I hope we umm..... can be friends.... if only to calm the fears of those we love."
Tienn nodded her head. "That sounds good...but... I don't understand you." the last four words came out in a rush. "I expect... even demand that you hate me."
"Because Tienn... that would be easy.." Elizabeth responded quietly. "and my husband would enjoy that I think."
Kameron regarded his wife in silence before turning his attention to Tienn. "As much as I would.... however the incident in question... was not committed against me. I was asked to let it go and I will... this time."
"Thank you," Gyce spoke graciously.
Kameron regarded the larger of the two women before him. "Alright then." as he looked at his wife.
"We'd best get going..." Elziabeth responded. "Till next time ladies." and with that she took her leave, shuffling off down the hallway.
Kameron remained a moment as he watched his wife use her cane, a soft sigh escaping his lips before he moved to her side.
"He'll come around in time," Gyce attempted to assure Iteela.
