The Shattering

Posted on Sun Mar 1st, 2020 @ 10:47pm by Division Admiral Andrew Whiteshadow & Captain Tienn Ezas & Commander Tienn Iteela & Commander John 'Nuke Em' Sheridan & Fleet Captain Torilla Yamaguchi & Director Tienn Gyce

Mission: Mission 36: The Crusade Against the Infidels
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1000Hrs - July 8th, 2391

Commander Tienn Ezas was standing in one of the turbolift's on the USS Roanoke, PADD in hand as a smile graced her lips. The doors opened as she stepped out as Torilla Yamaguchi rose to her feet. "The skipper is in the ready room Commander."

"Thank you." as Ezas tapped the door chime and settled into wait.

"In," Zara called out, looking far more sober than she had in ages. She was sitting on her couch, munching on nuts as she went over colony requests.

The door opened and in walked Tienn. "Captain Tane?" she inquired as she placed a PADD before her. "Your Lieutenant Sheridan was most helpfull... I uncovered some evidence that should help the situation with Ensign Tienn."

"Your sister, given your looks," Zara pointed out as she took the files and loaded it into her computer to watch. "Right...."

Zara hit her combadge to the bridge, "Send Sheridan, Benice, Teval, and Commander Whiteshadow to my office in ten minutes, please."

Yamaguchi's voice came back. "Willdo." the Exec's soft accented voice echoed in Zara's office as Ezas remained motionless.

"Once everyone arrives and the evidence is looked at, we'll let her go," Zara promised.

A few minutes later Sheridan arrived followed by Commander Whiteshadow. The JAG officer pushed his glasses back top the brim of his nose. "Well this should be interesting."

Sheridan smiled. "Skipper... you screamed?" he addressed Zara

"Yeah... Have a seat and watch that, please." Zara indicated the PC on her coffee table.

Sheridan lifted the PADD as he tapped the display. The video began playing. "Mmm... well... Commander Tienn give this to you?" he inquired.

Whiteshadow raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as Sheridan finished watching the movie before he handed the PADD to Whiteshadow. "I love home movies.." Whiteshadow commented as he watched the tape a good three times as he regarded Zara. "I don't see an issue here.... but I have to ask... was Lieutenant Benice the intended target... or was it the Ensign in question?" before he turned to Sheridan. "You know who she is?"

"The theory is that Benice might of been the target," Zara supplied. "Why do you ask?"

"I got her in a cell for related offenses." Sheridan slowly smiled. "I know exactly who that waste of humanity is."

"This the drug thing you're looking into?" Zara asked with curiosity.

Sheridan nodded. "Indeed sir." he answered Zara's question.

Both Teval and Gunther walked in, Teval was at least somewhat aware of what was going on but he asked anyway," So whats the latest development here."

"Apparently we have new evidence to the case against Ensign Tienn," Zara told the new arrivals. "Everyone review this video and tell me your thoughts."

Both Teval and Gunther quietly watched the video, then when it was done, Gunther came to the realization, "Jewel Katana, she must have been trying to drug Lt. Benice so as to ruin her credibility, and make it easier to smuggle more drugs on board. Well, that's my theory anyway."

Whiteshadow nodded. "I agree with the Master at Arms." he raised an eyebrow. "watching this... I'd say drop the charges and let the Ensign go. If she's smart... she'll learn from this experience and if not then she will only do something else.... she'll know we'll be watching her of course." he shrugged. "I love it when my work is this simple."

"JAG might not like a simple release though. We may have to put a mark in her record for anger management issues. Could sentence her to counseling for a month. At least on paper, it looks like we're not letting her off," Zara supplied with caution.

Whiteshadow snorted as he waved his hand. "I don't really care what JAG likes and doesn't like." he responded. "Go ahead and stick the notation in her file and kick her out of her gilded cage." he responded with a smile. "Even if we were letting her off... I suspect she won't let herself off... which is good enough for me." he turned to Gunther. "How would you rate her behavior... as a prisoner I mean?... has she been poorly behaved or is she a model prisoner?"

"She hasn't given me any problems."

Whiteshadow smiled. "Alright... Consider this case dismissed.." he paused. "Captain... with your permission?"

"All righty then... I'll let you security boys release her," Zara spoke happily. "I feel like celebrating. Water anyone?"

Whiteshadow nodded. "Sure... I'll have some." he responded. "I heard you quit drinking... tell me... is that true?"

"What? No..." Zara protested with an easy smile. "I still drink... water on occasion."

Whiteshadow chuckled softly. "I guess they lied to me about you then..."

"To Justice," Zara raised a glass after she passed around others to her guests.

Whiteshadow nodded. "To justice."

Sheridan turned to the Master at Arms. "Come on.. lets go spring our well behaved prisoner.."

Gunther nodded and followed Sheridan out the door.
