Mission: Mission 36: The Crusade Against the Infidels
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1800Hrs - July 7th, 2392

Teval walked onto the bridge, as it was his turn to take the evening shift. Walking over to torilla, he asked, "Well, how are things going."

Torilla was seated int he command chair as she looked rather happy and bored. "Oh, I could complain but... I can't work up the energy." she responded. "I assume you are here to kick me out of here and send me home?" she inquired as she fought down the urge to pet the smaller being before her.

Teval nodded," Eh something... like... tha..." Tevals voice trailed off as a Romulan bird of prey appeared on screen, decloaking right in front of roanoke.

Rykar, whom was at the ops station mentioned, "Um, Torilla, bird of prey in front of us."

Torilla rose to her feet as she frowned. "Well... decloaking in the middle of a federation battlegroup is really stupid in itself. "I assume they want something..." Torilla commented to nobody in particular. "tell everyone to stand down... and hail the Bird of Prey, I'll let them explain themselves before I have them shot.."

Ryker shook her head, "No need, they are hailing us."

Teval shrugged, "Well answer them."

Teval couldn't hide his surprise as the last person he ever expected to see appeared on the screen. Aerin Ranval's face appeared on screen, saying, " Sorry I couldn't come back earlier, the Romulans kept me busy, but I have a gift for you guys."

"Aerin." Torilla greeted him. "We were out looking for you.." she admitted. "Its good to see you."

Teval just looked at Aerin, saying, "Aerin you reckless idiot, are you trying to get yourself killed."

Aerin gave Teval a look, "Oh don't worry about that, this bird of prey has an interphase cloak, I only deactivated the cloaking part, the ship is still out of phase, so your weapons couldn't hurt this ship anyway. But either way if you guys don't mind, I'm tired of eating romulan food, so can I come onboard now."

Torilla paused. "Ohh." she slowly smiled. "So... this bird of prey belongs to you now?" she paused. "Do you need a crew to operate her or no?

Aerin nodded, "Yeah having someone else coming on board to crew the ship would be helpful, currently, my AI is running it, but an actual crew is preferable. And also, the ship belongs to you guys now, I don't want it."

Torilla nodded before she turned to Ryker. "Contact the Dreamcrusher," she commented. "Ask them to supply a crew for this ship... and tell them to keep this hush hush."

Rykar nodded and sent out the relevant messages while Teval commented," Well Kiyuo and Yavi will definitely be happy, as well as Karryn for that matter."

Torilla turned before she made her way back to the command chair, then she sat down in it. "Well... I won't stop them from their reunion with him." she responded. "So... Teval, whats your opinion on all this..?"

Teval just shook his head saying," At this point I'm still trying to figure out how he got here."

Torilla sat back as she regarded the smaller being in an almost playful tone. "Why not go ask him?" she then quickly leaned forward as she ran her hand through his fur on the top of his head.

About 20 minutes later Aerin arrived on the bridge, munching on some food, prompting Teval to say, "I guess you weren't kidding about not liking romulan food."

Aerin nooded, then pointed at Teval, saying," You look like you could use something to eat too. Look at yourself, your a twig."

Teval did look down and finally noticed just how thin he had gotten over the past couple of months, then just shrugged," Eh just havent had much of an appetite lately."

Torilla regarded Aerin with a gentle smile. "Aerin. Its good to see you."
before she turned to Teval. "You sure you're not hungry?" she commented. "I won't be offended is you eat while we talk."

Teval shook his head, "No not really." Aerin just sighed and moved on to the next point, "So, did I miss anything important."

"Several of our personnel were kidnapped about the same time you were, we've since recovered all except you. Trasker was killed and the others suffered various forms of torture." Torilla explained over the events. "We're still missing two... Eyes and Norsvin Korr.." she paused. "Your little toy... gives me an idea..... I'd like to go look for our missing people." she paused. "We will need the very best we have for this operation."

Aerin gave it some thought, then said, " Well, whenever you guys want to go, I'll come along."

Teval then added," Seykai will also be useful for this mission, guy is pretty much the best signals analyst in all of starfleet."

Aerin then asked, "Who all was captured by the romulans."

Torilla paused as she thought about it. Froststorm, Teval here, Hakaya, Trasker, Eyes, Korr. Howe and Mendoza." she explained.

Aerin didn't say anything immediately, while Teval commented," Yeah, the romulans, they weren't exactly nice to us, if you know what I mean."

Aerin looked up, saying," Well, anyway, let me know when you paln to set off, I'm going to go say hi to Karryn, Hakaya and the kids."

Teval sighed saying, "Well I'll come with you then."

"I'll go over the rosters of these ships... I want to crew that Bird of Prey with our meanest and our scariest." she then smiled. "and Teval, go eat something already.."

Teval didn't say anything as the two of them left the bridge.

Hakaya meanwhile, stared nervously around her quarters. She just couldn't shake the feeling of the walls closing in on her. She felt like a caged animal in a zoo, unable to escape, unable to even move.

Kiyuo meanwhile, was curled up with her sibling Yavi, when something woke her up. Leaving Yavi sleeping in bed, Kiyuo got up and walked over to the living room, where her mother sat on the couch, arms wrapped around her legs. She could sense something was wrong with her mom, so she cautiously approached, and gently nudged her mothers tail.

Suddenly and without warning, Hakaya acted on instinct, swiping with her claws out. only one claw caught Kiyuo across the cheek, leaving a shallow cut, and more surprised than anything else, Kiyuo ran away crying.

Hakaya, realizing what she had done, snapped out of it and went after Kiyuo, crying, " Kiyuo, come back, I sorry...."

Kiyuo jumped in the bed, waking Yavi up, while Hakaya came over, pcicking Kiyuo up, holding her in a gentle embrace. Kiyuo stopped crying when she heard her mothers own sobbing and attempts to apologize.

Moments later Teval and Aerin walked into the room, and Yavi was the first to notice them. On seeing aerin she exclaimed," Look, Daddy's back, and she quicky ran over to Aerin, and Aerin caught her and pciked her up. Kiyuo, completely forgetting what just happened, also ran over to Aerin.

Hakaya, meanwhile walked over to Teval, and with little warning, hugged him tightly. Teval, a little surprised, just simply hugged her back. Then Hakaya's apologies started coming," Teval... I'm sorry I've been such a jackass lately, I don't know whats going on with me."

Teval knew pretty much exactly what Hakaya's problem was, but he decided not to bring it up, nor did he attempt to make excuses for hakaya either. He just stayed quiet and let her speak, however soon Hakaya started sobbing uncontrollably. Teval just had no clue what do do, so he just held his distressed sibling, while Aerin let Kiyuo and Yavo wrestle him to the ground. Silversnow and several of her kittens looked at them curiously.

Minutes later Karryn walked in the room with Takov, Nuyari and Savo, while silversnow meowed loudly. Noticing Aerin, Karryn commented," Ah, there you are, your late."

Aerin looked up at Karryn, both Yavi and Kiyuo where cuddling with him at this point, "Well I was held up by some romulans, they kept me busy."

Karryn sighed, "So I have heard."

Meanwhile on the bridge. Commander Torilla Yamaguchi turned her head as she felt a wave of rage followed by disgust. the taller woman let out a sigh as she recognized the source.

Also in her quarters, Elizabeth Yamaguchi also felt the source of the wave of rage. "Wow..." she said quietly as she shook her head. "Thats impressive"

Kameron regarded his wife. "You okay?"

"Yeah... hold me would ya?"

Kameron sat down on the sofa as Elizabeth made herself comfortable on his lap, he gently curls his arms around her as she rested her head on his shoulders. "Someone is angry..."
