In Comes the Twins

Saki Yamaguchi was busy kicking her legs as she felt Lieutenant Benice gently holding her up. She was wearing a simple black singlet suit which Rachael had replicated for her.

The door opened and in walked two women who were almost identical, the two Bajorans shared a smile, one of them wore a simple dark green one piece while the other wore a dark red bikini which covered a great deal of skin.

The two made their way over separately as one of them simply dove into the pool while the other gently slipped into the pool.

"Just focus on your breathing," Gyce said as she noted the twins. One she knew fairly well too. In her blue racer one-piece, Gyce felt at home in the water. "Cuff your hands when you paddle."

"Like this?" Saki inquired as she did so.

Tienn Iteela came over as she smiled. "Hey... "

The second Tienn popped up from underwater, as she sighed happily. "Nothing like being in the pool to make one's day complete." she deliberately made sure she popped up next to her twin for maximum effect.

Saki looked at the two women. "Cool... there are two of you..."

"Twins," Gyce answered and shook her head at the two other women. "You want to play detective and figure out which one is Iteela?"

Both Bajoran's smiled at the small child, only one of them knew Saki while the other one did not as Saki stopped swimming and was simply content to lie on her back as she floated. "Mmm..." she regarded the two women. "You... are not Iteela... your body... shape is different." Saki paused. "you're bigger then she is.."

The woman who had dove in wearing the dark red bikini smiled. "Not bad... Iteela, I see you weren't wrong." she commented as she regarded the other woman wearing the one-piece. "She's quick.."

"She's smart too." Iteela's accent sounded a little on the husky side whereas the other woman's sounded like she was more soft spoken.
"So... what are we interrupting?"

"Teaching Saki how to float and possibly tread water," Gyce answered and dunked her head for only a moment to cover the flush in her face at seeing Iteela.

The twins shared a look as Nerra smiled. "I think... she likes you."

"Heh." Iteela responded with a soft smile. "Most think I'm nuts."

"Well... thats because you are..." Nerra responded. "In any case... I'm going to borrow half the pool for lengths.... don't have too much fun.." and with that Nerra moved off, leaving Iteela with Gyce and Saki.

Saki meanwhile was still lying on her back as she smiled. "It can be relaxing."

"Did you watch that movie I recommended?" Gyce asked her fellow Bajoran as slowly let go of Saki to see if the girl could float on her own.

Saki meanwhile didn't move as she knew if she did, she would end up with water of her face and would need to stand up to get rid of it so she did her best to remain motionless.

Iteela smiled as she regarded the other two. "I did, yes... it was hilarious.." the smaller Bajoran smiled. "So... hows she doing?" she asked Gyce in regards to Saki.

"She's getting better, actually," Gyce admitted with a smile, and then shared a look of longing with Iteela.

Iteela smiled back at her. "Ahh..." she went over to Gyce as she slowly shifted her attention as she regarded the small child who floated on the water. "How long are you watching her for?"

"A few months," Gyce admitted. "Then her mom comes back to spend a week or so with Saki here before going to warrant school."

"Lovely... I meant today.." Iteela grinned at her.

"I normally put her to bed around 2100 hours," Gyce told Iteela with a sheepish grin. "She sometimes has dinner with Commander Yamaguchi, if you want the evening alone."

Saki interrupted. "Guys. I could always ask Grandma Torilla if I can spend the night... so you guys can have fun together..." as the eight year old grinned at them both, clearly she knew something.

"If you're sure," Gyce nodded, and then smiled brightly to Iteela. "I can fix a Bajoran variation of white sauce and pasta with jumja pie. Might save some pie for when Saki comes back tomorrow."

Saki nodded. "I am, yes." the child responded.

Iteela regarded the other woman. "Sounds good. You're making me hungry..."

Meanwhile the second Tienn was taking a moment to observe her sibling from the deep end of the pool as she thought to herself. 'Iteela, you are so obvious at times... its amusing to watch." as Nerra smiled. "Bed her well sister..."

"You want to try treading water again?" Gyce asked Saki with a smile. "Five minutes and then you can shower off and go bug your grandma."

"Yay!" Saki cheered as she stopped floating and began to gently tread the water so she didn't move. "and you can have fun with Iteela..." Saki added. "You know she likes you.... right?"

"Uhh..." Gyce blushed and paused to find her answer. "I did not, no."

Iteela meanwhile had swam over towards her errant sibling so the two could do some lengths back and forth across the pool as Saki gently treaded water. "I see Phoenix and Siaxx share that look all the time..." she paused. "Siaxx could always help... she can give you advice.."

"I'm older than her," Gyce pointed out to Saki. "And you've noticed my limp... There are many things that block my path to have the things your aunts have."

"Things that you, yourself, have set up for yourself." Saki responded. "Whats wrong with Iteela?.... you like her, she likes you... I don't see the problem..." Saki shrugged.

"I did a lot of bad in my youth, Saki," Gyce finally admitted with a pained voice. "I don't sleep well sometimes because of it... I tell myself being bad saved my people from bad guys, but my soul says something different."

Saki regarded the Bajoran. "Gyce, why should bad memories stop you from having something good... bad memories just make you miserable."

"I used to kill people for a living, Saki." Gyce admitted with watery eyes. "By the tens and twenties at a time. People I worked with never cared about innocent people like you getting killed in those missions either... So in my eyes, I've no right to have the joy of family."

Saki regarded the other woman in silence. "Gyce... I don't know what to tell you.." she paused. "You were fighting in the Cardassian Occupation.. I can't imagine what that was like.."

"I still think I'm too old for her," Gyce sighed nervously. "But I'll try and have fun, for your sake."

"Mom told me once that Siaxx was thirty and Phoenix was thirty eight when they met." the child explained. "So... whats the big deal about age... nobody here seems to care about it.." Saki explained.

"You're smarter than you should be for your age," Gyce smiled at Saki. "But I thank you all the same."

"You like her... she likes you, what more is there to worry about?" Saki inquired as Iteela appeared nearby. "So... what did I miss?"

"Saki wants me to date you," Gyce smiled at her fellow Bajoran.

Iteela raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised at the statement. "She does hmm?" the Bajoran asked. "but what do you want on the matter?"
Iteela inquired. "Is this something from her.... or something from you?"

"I think it's a bit of both," Gyce answered after she thought about the question a few minutes. "I like you a lot and want to know more, but... well... sometimes I don't know if I'm worthy of having such joy."

Iteela regarded the other woman in silence before shifting her attention for a moment to the small child nearby. "I'm sure she's already said it to you.." as Iteela raised an eyebrow. "I saw what the occupation did to my family, to my siblings... it crushed my brothers... they all stayed home to help Bajor rebuild where my sisters and I wanted to get away... Ezas, Kerris, Nerra and me... We all ended up in starfleet." Iteela regarded the other Bajoran. "After watching what Ezas endured.. I sometimes wonder..." Iteela paused. "Nerra and I both watched the Cardassian... rape Ezas... We both were unable to help..."

Gyce placed one arm around Iteela as she stabled Saki in the water. She wanted Iteela to know she had someone that understood.

"You're here now. That's got to count for something," Gyce spoke with a smile.

Iteela regarded Gyce. "It took me longer than Ezas to get over it." she explained quietly. "Nerra likewise took a long time to get over it." Iteela explained as she indicated her sibling who was over the other side of the pool.

"So how about I cook you some dinner tonight?" Gyce asked with sympathy to Iteela and her family. "Might do us both good to just sit and air out all that ails us."

Iteela slowly smiled. "Sounds great.." she responded. "We can always ask Commander Yamaguchi to watch her granddaughter.." she paused. "I still can't believe Cadet Yamaguchi asked you rather then her.."

"It's because I don't spoil Saki, unlike the rest of her family," Gyce pointed out gently. "That... and I'm trying to help Saki adjust."

Iteela nodded her head. "Alright" she responded as Saki stood up in the water. "Guys. I'm going to head back to shower and change... if thats alright?"

"It is. And take care," Gyce suggested with a huge grin on her face.

"Of course." Saki responded as she slowly hauled herself out of the pool, she made her way over to the female changing room and was gone moments later.

Iteela watched in silence. "She is way too smart for someone her age." she commented softly. "But then.... I can understand why."

"She still feels things the way kids her age feel," Gyce pointed out as she climbed out of the pool and began drying off with a towel. "Only, she had nightmares and horrors kids her age don't normally have. That's why I think she gets on well with Colonel Sullivan... She's the only one that can relate to her almost perfectly."

Iteela gently hauled herself out of the pool after giving her sibling a smile as Nella was busy swimming lengths as she followed Gyce into the female changing area.

Saki smiled as she walked out of the shower area. "Oh. Hey guys." she greeted the two of them. "I'm just gonna change and then I'm off to bug Grandma Torilla."

"Have fun," Gyce spoke with a proud grin. Saki was coming along nicely, in some areas.

Iteela stood before the other woman and small child, a smile on the face as Saki retreated over to the changing area, she opened her locker as she pulled her stuff out.

Meanwhile Iteela went over to the shower, she turned the water on as a sigh escaped her lips as the hot water washed over her, a rather evil smile appearing on her lips when she realized what sort of an opportunity that she had, she heard another shower start elsewhere so she turned hers off, then she went to hunt down Gyce.

She found the other Bajoran woman moments later, before she gently slid her arms around her from behind, Tienn started gently kissing the side of the other Bajoran's neck while she was at it.

Saki meanwhile was now fully dressed as she smiled, while she departed the changing area, before she called her grandmother via the com system.

"Yeah sweetie?" Torilla answered.

"You got a spare place at your dinner table... Gyce and Tienn are somewhat.... busy." were the words that Saki settled on.

"Of course, do you need me to come collect you?"

"Nah... I think I can find your place." Saki responded. "Seeya soon, Yamaguchi out." and with that she tapped the wall display a second time, a wide smile on her face as if she knew a big secret that nobody else did.
