Mission:
Mission 33: Losing the Peace
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1600Hrs - May 9th, 2391
Rear Admiral Jake Yamaguchi regarded Captain Lil'yanna Olmos. "Okay... so what exactly is going on here?" he indicated his wife who was presently curled up almost in the fetal position as Nalla was sitting next to her, gently holding her hand. "I can't believe... she hit her... she hit me... she hit... wait... who did she... she hit me!"
Elizabeth meanwhile was also standing there as well. "Dad... I'm worried about her.."
"I know...." he sighed. "I wish I knew how to help her..." he turned to Olmos. "Well?"
"Both Nalla's and Torilla's brain patterns are linked in the areas that control thought, a good portion of the time," Olmos spoke as she pointed to the monitors overhead. "If I had to guess... This is the result of a non-Deltan and Deltan intimate pairing."
"Which is usually not done because of the possible Psionic union between them..." Jake sighed softly. "Is there any way to sort this out?"
"I'm given to understand their unification ritual is not a permanent bonding, but rather a brief bonding that leaves part of each person with all participants." By the look on Olmos' face, one could see she had a hard time figuring out how a group of intimate partners copped with such a complex case.
Jake nodded. "So Torilla and Nalla are now more or less one person on a temporary basis.. they mix and match elements of both..."
"Much of what Torilla is feeling will ebb away, but I suspect part of what Nalla uploaded into Torilla was her abusive, dark past she never really articulated to anyone," Olmos noted lowly to Jake and Elizabeth.
Jake nodded. "So what do we do?" he inquired as he shared a look with his daughter. "All I can feel from mom is pure, dark rage.... endless...
black..." Elizabeth sighed. "Its overwhelming.."
"The conventional options are not things your mother would want, nor would I want to subject Nalla to, if it were her having this issue," Olmos spoke with sympathy. "Memory engram deletion would be best, though. However evil. Take out what Nalla shared to her to prevent a schizophrenic side effect."
"Wait.. you're talking about formatting my mothers brain... like its a faulty computer drive.." Elizabeth said quietly. "No... Mom needs to process this... There has to be another way..."
Jake nodded his head. "Wait a second... With sex, there is a mixing of hormones between male and female... or female on female.." he paused. "Wait... What if this was a mental mixing... that we stopped... it wasn't finished.."
"I think we need to hear from the Deltan Medical Board before we chart these choppy waters," Olmos spoke sadly as she turned to watch Nalla caress Torilla's hair. "Severing this bond right now, might just harm the both of them if we operate without all the facts."
"Yeah.." Jake responded quietly. "I'm worried about them both.." he regarded Olmos. "Keep me informed of whats said... please?" he inquired respectfully.
"As it is, I am very sorry Nalla severed yours with your wife," Olmos spoke apologetically. "I never thought I'd have to have this conversation with her, because she truly never showed an interest in sex."
"Torilla never told me about Nalla's interest in sex either.," Jake responded. "But if Nalla was going to get it on with someone... Honestly, I would have preferred it be Torilla."
"Dad... This event can easily fry mom's mind.." Elizabeth responded quietly.
"I know Elizabeth." Jake responded just as quietly. "She's your mother... but she's my wife.." as he regarded his daughter with a sad look. "Torilla was teaching Nalla how to use and control her various abilities... I think the sex was an accident.."
"Question is... Did Torilla truly understand that before this happened?" Olmos fielded out of sympathy.
Jake paused. "I have no idea..." he sighed softly. "Beth... you'd best go on about your regular work... I'll sit with your mother until we get some measure of results from the Deltan Government."
Elizabeth nodded. "Alright.." and with that the tallest woman in the room, turned and went over to the Doctor's office for another assignment.
There was one other person Olmos could contact... And he was not someone Olmos knew the others would welcome an opinion from.
Jake regarded Olmos. "It should be interesting to see what they say..."
