Mission:
Mission 30: All Thats Left
Location: Planet Surface - Yeneer G1
Timeline: 0830Hrs - March 14th, 2391 - Time Dilation: 6 years, 3 Months
Siaxx Dvald knew that it was only a matter of time before new arrivals from the Roanoke would start filtering in, Taffy and Rachael were out foraging for fruits while Siaxx and Saki were handling domestic chores around their permanent base camp which they had converted the Runabout and a set of caves into their home. Siaxx knew that the Kurokuri were off hunting, Taffy and Rachael had gone with them to provide extra muscle.
Leadfoot and Moni Nasao were off hunting in their own way.
Taffy's fighter had become a part of their home as Rachael was still a pilot and over the last two years she had spent a fair chunk of time in Taffy's fighter, trying to remember what did what.
Saki looked up. "Look!"
Siaxx did likewise as the young child, now six years old had indicated as a small Runabout seemed to drop out of the sky.
The Bolian raised an eyebrow as the Runabout seemed destined for a crash landing, as a sigh escaped her lips, the Runabout's engines lit off and she landed properly rather then turn herself into an expanding hole in the ground.
"Come Saki... Lets see who fate has seen fit to deposit here this time." The Bolian waved the child over to her, Saki came out without protest or complaint.
The hatch opened as Phoenix stepped out, as she did the hunting party had returned. "Saki, go help your mother and the others."
"Yes Siaxx." and with that she small child went to her mother's side as she relieved Rachael of some of their burden. "Oh... a Runabout.."
"Looks like a Delta flyer, one of the EWAC birds in fact," Hakaya commented.
"Siaxx asked me to help you." Saki explained her presence.
"Good girl.." Rachael responded.
Meanwhile Siaxx regarded Phoenix. "Jill...." she paused as she was suddenly unsure of what to say.
Phoenix's reaction was far more profound. She nearly jumped the space between them to engulf Siaxx in a hug filled with tears. She the hug was fierce, as if she did not want to ever let go.
Siaxx felt Phoenix grab her then pick her up. "Yeah Phoenix... I'm no illusion.." the Bolian commented softly. "I have things I need to tell you..."
"Once we get some time alone, I'm all yours," Phoenix promised.
Siaxx nodded. "Alright... Well.. Let me show you around... and we can get you a room in the back."
"I'll look... But my home is tha runabout, Dear." Phoenix wanted privacy, afterall.
Siaxx led the larger woman into a set of caves. "Reminds me... I need two photon torpedo shells from you." Siaxx explained. "Two Quantum Torpedo shells would be better.." Siaxx explained. "I need them so I can take a friend and his mate home when we leave this place." there was something in her tone.
"Done. I'll remove the warheads an' store 'em somewhere safe," Phoenix promised. "So who were these people?"
"I made a promise to a friend.... I'd take his bones and those of his mate home... back to our pack.." Siaxx paused as she regarded Phoenix. "His name is Greywolf... Rachael and Saki both speak highly of him too.."
"I thought I lost you," Phoenix cried silently into Siaxx's shoulder.
Siaxx gently held Phoenix against her. "I'm Sorry... we lost a Nacelle on the way in... Our warp coils were misaligned. You should have seen Firebird flying us in... She was incredible..." as she regarded Phoenix. "You have no idea how nice it is to see you after all these years.." the small Bolian looked leaner and smaller, also she was a darker shade of blue. "I must tell you of Greywolf," Siaxx explained.
"Sure. But first, we bathe you and feed you," Phoenix suggested with a half-grin. "You smell like Dora after her bath."
Siaxx paused as she sighed softly. "Its Greywolf's clothing that I'm wearing..." as she turned away to regain control of her emotions. "He just..." she stopped. "He-" Siaxx tried again, only to stop again, it was clear that this Greywolf was something truly special indeed.
"Hey..." Phoenix began very apologetically, "I'm sorry. I didn' mean ta hurt your feelin's Dear."
Siaxx turned back. "You didn't.... But he died from old age a couple of months back... he left everything.. including his remains to me." she indicated a decent bookcase with a few large books as well as a large number of other items. "All of his things are here..."
"Sounds like he taught you far more than you expected," Phoenix surmised sadly. "I wish I knew him, so I could thank him for watchin' ya."
"He was... Something else." Siaxx paused as she said something in Greywolf's language. "He taught me well..." she switched back to english.
"Ya look both intimidatin' an' a bit underweight though," Phoenix noted with concern.
"Rachael is smaller then she should be." Siaxx explained. "Same with Saki..." Siaxx sighed. "Thanks to an unreliable food supply and a dangerous living space..."
"We'll fatten you all up then," Phoenix spoke with determination.
Siaxx chuckled softly. "Its been awhile since I was able to have a decent meal.. other then cooked bird.."
"You need a good fuck too," Phoenix pointed out with a grin.
Siaxx chuckled softly. "I am not disputing that fact." as she gave Phoenix a grin. "Its been awhile since I gave you a physical.." she added with a sultry smile.
"I'm pregnant," Phoenix sighed. "You an' Furban scan me all tha time cause of it."
Siaxx's smile only grew. "Not that kind of a physical..." she commented. "the kind where I fuck you."
"You take a shower, an' I might consider it," Phoenix explained. "Cause you smell really bad."
Siaxx raised an eyebrow. "Alright..." she paused. "Do you have one on the runabout?"
"Bottom level. Far right corner. It's very small," Phoenix told Siaxx.
"Thank you." Siaxx responded as she turned and picked her way to her destination, noticing all of the spare parts and additional things that were lying all over the place of the bottom level around the bathroom area. The small Bolian woman walked in as she shucked her furs, she then activated the system as she stepped into the sonic shower.
Siaxx sighed softly as she felt the sound waves caress her skin.
Phoenix could only laugh to herself as she heard the bliss her fiancee was on. It had been too long since she heard those sounds and it felt very good. Almost made her forget all her cares.
Twenty minutes or so later, Siaxx finished as she quickly replicated herself a Starfleet uniform, and she quickly dressed in real clothing for the first time in years, then she went to track Phoenix down, her furs in hand.
"Very nice," Phoenix smiled hungrily when she looked up from the science station she had been studying. "You smell good too."
Siaxx raised an eyebrow as she regarded Phoenix, she knew that look all too well as she could almost read her intended's mind at times. "You have no idea how refreshing that was..."
"You'd be amazed if I told ya I do," Phoenix said with that ever-present goofy grin. "I was SpecForce, Dear. I've been on missions where for weeks, we had not showers ta bathe."
"Fair enough." Siaxx responded as she chuckled. "I've not had a shower.. in years.... so what does that say about our living conditions?"
"Better now that I'm here?" Phoenix spoke with a grin.
Siaxx regarded the taller human woman with a smile. "Mmmm.." as she tapped the replicator. "It could be worse."
"I only got two backup power cells. So we don' wanna replicate too much. Meat, water, clothes... An' some balls for tha kids," Phoenix explained gently.
"Water is easy... we get that from the nearby river.. and food... lord knows we got enough meat from this damned birds." she paused. "however... we're having dietary issues.."
"You need beef," Phoenix spoke instantly. "We need ta find somethin' like cattle."
"I don't think there is anything like cattle on this planet..." Siaxx responded softly. "We've been able to hold it at bay with lots of fruits and vegetables."
"I'll pull the biosensors up when next I do a systems check. See if we can't find better game," Phoenix promised.
"Saki... has never had beef... only poultry... I'm worried about her.." Siaxx commented softly. "When we get back... for Saki, it'll be a major catastrophe for her.... we should try to ease her into eating beef.... and other kinds of food."
"All the more reasons to hunt for cattle," Phoenix agreed. "She needs ta learn ta be more social with people too."
"She is only social with myself, her mom and the others..." the Bolian sighed. "she's not really had much of a childhood."
"She deserves a far better one than tha ones we had," Phoenix agreed with determination in her eyes.
"As soon as we get off of this planet. she'll have it... she'll be able to interact with the rest of her clan and the other kids aboard the ship.." Siaxx responded. "Sounds like our major issue is a computer timing error.."
"Yes... An' it'll take some time to get past that hump, I fear." Phoenix sighed with nervousness. "I wanna get us out of here before these babies are born, if I can help it."
Siaxx nodded as she gently placed a hand on Phoenix's ever expanding belly. "We may need to prepare to have these two here.." the small Bolian sighed. "Rachael didn't want to have hers here either... but we lack fuel... and no way to easily make more."
"I can' have 'em here, Siaxx," Phoenix spoke in a near panic. "They aren' mine. An' I can' do that ta Torilla."
"It wouldn't be your fault Jill.." Siaxx responded as she gently placed her hands on Phoenix's shoulders. "Torilla.... will understand if it should happen.."
"All tha more reason ta figure out how ta get out of this place fast," Phoenix spoke with a forced-brave face on.
"We need to figure out a way to deal with the computer timing error... and we need fuel."
"Agreed," Phoenix nodded and sat back in frustration. "I'm runnin' out of ideas though."
"How do we make fuel.." Siaxx commented. "Thats the main one... for the computer... we can simply reset it... I don't know why it wouldn't work... in theory, resetting it here would reset its timing error."
"We have to fuel, so long as we don' fly too high ta start futzing from the temporal vortex," Phoenix reminded Siaxx.
Siaxx paused as she caught sight of the massive class J gas giant. "Can we refuel by using the hydrogen from the gas giant?" she inquired.
"If we can break atmo, sure," Phoenix agreed.
Siaxx sighed. "I know the Tolkien will never fly again... she's too badly damaged, Taffy's fighter is out of fuel, Leadfoot's fighter is fit only for the scrapheap and I have no idea the Martin's status.."
