Mission: Mission 30: All Thats Left
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 0800Hrs - March 14th, 2391

Commander Torilla Yamaguchi walked onto the hanger deck. Now a couple of pilots have gone missing and she knew that Phoenix had taken it to heart. "Phoenix." Torilla went over to the pregnant woman as she handed her a PADD. "Preliminary Tachyon scans are negative for anything..."

"Well that's good," Phoenix agreed as she checked her flight plan one more time on her PADD.

"Well... I wanted to say that I wish you well... good flying out there." the older woman said evenly. "I wanted to say it to your face at least."

"I'll bring 'em all back, Torilla," Phoenix promised, but then paused when she spotted Aryssa from afar. Tane had sent the kid to the hangar to say goodbye to Phoenix.

No surprise there, when the teen just came in to lean against the wall and watch the commotion.

"If anythin' happens, I don' want her ta go to her father," Phoenix told Torilla with pained blue eyes as she wanted badly to talk to her kid. "She'll be OK with your clan while I'm gone, right?"

"Elizabeth and Kam will keep an eye on her... as will I." Torilla responded. "Besides.. considering Silversides just gave birth to a litter of six, I have my hands full with them.." Yamaguchi smiled as both woman knew it was the only decent thing going on in her life at present.

"Yeah... Shonax is safely tucked in my quarters. Hopefully he won't fuck another cat," Phoenix noted with frustration.

"Well, we can hope." Yamaguchi commented evenly. "Aryssa will be fine... as far as I'm concerned, should the worst happen... I'll adopt her as my own... But that... is not going to happen."

Phoenix nodded in agreement, but then took Torilla's hands and placed them on her protruding tummy. "Just let me know when you're done talkin' to 'em."

Yamaguchi closed her eyes as she gently touched the two minds developing inside Phoenix, she very nearly burst into tears as she felt one of the minds touch hers in response, seconds later she felt the second one did likewise.

"Thank you Jill." Yamaguchi gently removed her hand from Phoenix's abdomen.

"You're their mom. No need ta thank me. It's your right ta do... whatever it is ya just did with 'em," Phoenix spoke with a cracked voice from watchin' Aryssa leave the hangar not long after the teen watched Torilla touch Phoenix's belly.

"I'll let you get going.." Yamaguchi commented softly. "Find our people Phoenix... Thats all I ask."

"I will," Phoenix promised, and headed for the flyer with a heavy heart.

Yamaguchi turned and walked away, her heart feeling heavy.
