The Walk of Shame

Posted on Thu Feb 27th, 2020 @ 8:54pm by Franklin Armstrong & Commander John 'Nuke Em' Sheridan & Lieutenant JG Paige Yamaguchi & Director Tienn Gyce & Grand Admiral April Yamaguchi

Mission: Mission 26: Points of Divergence
Location: Various Locations - Starbase 12
Timeline: 1300Hrs - February 15th, 2391

Gunther walked in to the makeshift interrogation room where John Walton was. Walton tried to plead with Gunther and Gunther simply told him to shut up.

As Gyce walked in, Gunther asked, "So, have you got what you need from douchebag here."

"Enough to make him rot in jail for forty years," Gyce nodded and tossed Gunther the stun cuffs. "Beta Quadrant C&C wants him there, so I intend to walk him through there like the scum he is."

Gunther took the cuffs, hauled Walton to his feet, and cuffed him while saying, "You wont be getting any arguments from me."

"Thank you Chief," Gyce said and took the Admiral by the upper arm. "Let's go, Admiral."

Gunther walked behind and made sure that Walton didn't do anything stupid. As they were walking the corridors John Sheridan joined them.

Sheridan looked at the people gathered. "Ahh I'm not late.." he commented. "the route from here to the stockade on the base is clear.. and we should have no issues along the path." he commented. "but considering how many people want a piece of this guy.... we got sixty death threats against you Admiral Scumbag in the last hour alone...."

"Fuck you.." Walton responded.

"Aw.. we stick our necks on the line for your worthless ass... Oh... and if I ever hear that you threatened people under my care ever again.. Well..." he then smiled, he didn't need to finish his sentence as his threat had already been made.

The four of them approached the airlock. "So... you ready... Admiral?"

"You will burn for this asshole.." Walton growled to Sheridan, who if anything seemed even more cheerful about things. "Mmm... foul language... Sorry but I don't speak moron.."

Not being too kind, Gunther gripped his hand like an angry gorilla, and directed him out the airlock. Walton was still wearing the engineer's uniform he acquired, which had a crewmans rank. That's when Gunther said, "This guy isn't an admiral, he is just some crewman who likes to think he is."

"Of course Senior Chief. My apologies.... I don't know what came over me." Sheridan responded, not missing a beat.

As they walked onto the starbase there was a crowd waiting and they began to heckle Walton. Several of the starbase security staff joined in the escort, while a couple of civilians threw things at Walton, including a rotted, moldy tomato.

Sheridan smiled as he slowed his pace somewhat. "Well... this is different... so crewman.. how do you feel about that?"

"I'm a fucking Fleet Admiral for fuck-" as a chunk of rotten cabbage landed on target, splattering itself across his face and in his mouth.
"Uhh... oh god... oh good." he spluttered

April Yamaguchi meanwhile stepped forward, her husband and eldest daughter either side of her as she looked down from the top level. "Now Paige... you did this on purpose.... did you?"

Paige Yamaguchi slowly smiled. "Well... like the good book says... Payback's a bitch."

"I don't think it says that..." Franklin responded.

"I'm paraphrasing you heathen...Dad." Paige responded.

April chuckled softly as she watched the amusement below.

Gyce shook her head at the two security officers on her detail and just shook her head in total disbelief. "Until Court Martial is complete, he is still to be treated as an Admiral."

Gyce shielded the man from a stray tomato as the continued through what Gyce believed was hostile territory.

Sheridan kept his mouth shut as he believed that this man was anything other then an Admiral. "Uhh Lieutenant... don't tell us that... tell them..." he paused as he sighed. "This crowd will immediately disperse, return to your business... and leave this man alone...."

Gunther didn't immediately say anything, but most of the crowd he could tell consisted of civilians, and that's when Gunther mentioned," yeah, to a civilian, being an admiral means nothing."

At that point April Yamaguchi approached alone. "G'Day.." he commented. "Well..Fleet Admiral Walton... Your fall from grace has been a long time coming.... "

"I'm gonna get free Admiral... then I will rape and murder you in your bed..."

"I'm sure you'll try." April responded in a rather dispassionate tone.
"But... its not you I hate Admiral... I hate what I became because of you..." and with that she turned her back and walked away slowly.

"Admiral Walton, under the rules and rights of the Federation, you're under arrest." Gyce began to recite as they headed to the security area. "Any statements made in front of law enforcers can and will be used against you at your court martial. Representation can be given to you at any moment of your choosing. Do you understand the rights of a Federation Citizen as I have just stated to you?"

"Screw you hick.." he answered. "You are all beneath me..."

Gyce continued to shove him toward his upcoming cell. "I'm the only one keeping you from getting stampeded, Admiral."

Gunther kept his eyes open, something just didn't feel right to him. Most of the crowd started to disperse but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. His feeling soon became justified, when out of nowhere, John Waltons head exploded in a shower of gore. Before his corpse hit the ground, Gunther had his phaser at the ready and dove for cover, along with most of the starbase security team.

Gyce went down with the blood corpse falling atop her. Her own face was coated in blood but she did not move, due to an unknown shooter being about. She waited for someone to give a clear command.

Sheridan had his weapon out but considering he was back several yards, the blood and brain missed him. "Woah.." he exclaimed as he looked around for the shooter, he didn't see anyone before he drew his tricorder to scan for the shooter. "Clear!" he called a minute or so later.
"No sign of a energy discharge... but I did read a minute energy reading right before it finished dissipating... no idea of what it is..."

Gunther looked around, noticing a hole in a nearby wall, and not from a phaser shot. He pulled out his tricorder, and was able to tell what it was. "It was a bullet, probably using a transporter to transport the round much like the TR-116. Caliber is too big for a TR though."

"There aren't many weapons that can handle a micro-transporter unit." Sheridan commented. "Can you tell if the round is Federation or not?"

Gunther shrugged," I'd need to find the round first."

"Alright.." Sheridan responded as the Base Security Commander came over. "You okay?"

"Yes." The man pointed to Gyce, who was squashed and bloodied by the corpse. "Looks like she may need a bit of help though. That, and we're going to close all ports and shutdown all transporters until we've swept the station for our sniper."

Gunther frowned as the tricorder picked up a lead and copper object, mateials that wasn't apart of normal construction material. As he got closer he managed to find the bullet, embedded in the wall, he then commented," I think I found the bullet, it's a copper jacketed lead round, its beat up pretty bad, but it looks like its approximately 12 millimeters in diameter. Definitely not a round from a TR-116, their caliber is much smaller."

"Lovely" Sheridan sighed.
