Mission: Mission 26: Points of Divergence
Location: Various Locations - USS Roanoke
Timeline: 1400Hrs - February 15th, 2391

Teval and hakaya looked at Silversnows four kittens. They where now over 12 weeks old and where ready to go to a new home.

"So what are we going to do with these four," Hakaya asked.

Teval shrugged. "I guess we ask around and see whom wants them."

Hakaya looked at Teval saying, "Doesn't the chief counselor, Tressa Brislan have two kids of her own."

"What of it."

"Well, maybe they would like to have a kitten," Hakaya suggested.

Teval stood up, "Well I guess it couldn't hurt."

He looked at his sister, while her fur near her privates was growing back, thanks to the accelerate, it still was visible. "well, at least the temporary profile will keep you from being arrested, but if you want to go with, I suggest you at least curl your tail in front."

Hakaya didnt really say anything. Though neither of them really spoke of the matter, Hakaya was still a little worse for wear due to recent events, but she took his advice as she followed him out the door. Though she really didn't like walking with her tail in front of her like that.

Teval and Hakaya went to Tressa's office and Teval hit the door chime.

The door slid open to an unusual sight; a boy and girl were balancing on the couch, hanging crafts on the wall, and Tressa was sitting on her desk trying (and failing) to suppress a grin.

"I want it more in the middle." "Yeah but I like mine here!"

The counselor looked to the doorway as the couple entered. "Good afternoon, are you here for the office decorating party?"

Teval shrugged, "Um, no not really. We have a cat that had kittens a little over 12 weeks ago, and we are just asking around to see if anyone wants to give them a home. Some kids of my own are on the way and I kinda need to make room."

Kaylee and Xavier had stopped and were watching the couple with wide eyes... which they then turned on the counselor.

"I, ah, well we are still settling in, and the children have a very full schedule...."

"Please!" "We'll take care of it and you won't have to do anything!" "Pleeeeeeeease....."

"We'll discuss it," Tressa said slowly. "I don't want a pet that will be home alone sixteen hours a day."

Teval shrugged," Well fair enough I guess, do you know anyone whom would want one."

"Can we just see them?" Xavier asked, looking up at Commander Vakar.

Hakaya didn't say anything, just keeping her tail wrapped in front of her, unaware of how cute she was looking herself, while Teval answered," Well, I didn't bring them with me, the kittens are in my quarters."

Once again two pairs of eyes turned hopefully towards Tressa. "Perhaps we could visit..."

"YEAH!" the children shouted in unison, bouncing on the couch. The counselor's hand went unbidden towards her face. Oh dear...

Teval's ears twitched in curiosity," What is it."

"Will you be available tomorrow evening?" Tressa asked.

Teval shrugged," Well, I don't have anything planned for tomorrow so sure. If you want, you could have dinner with us, usually either me or Hakaya will cook."

"How kind, can we bring anything?" Tressa asked with a smile.

Teval nodded," Yeah, thats fine, we aren't too fussed about it."

"Excellent," the counselor said, turning back to the children for a moment. Perhaps they would benefit from caring for a pet. She turned to the Commander. "We look forward to your hospitality."

Teval nodded and with Hakaya, he left the room.
